The Tollboden Hotel is a small, charming hotel near the waterside in the center of Kragerø. Welcom to a heritage property from 1783 that meets an exclusive and contemporary design. Each of our 13 rooms are unique.

Start the Sunday with a brunch buffet in Bakhagen or enjoy a delicious multi-course menu in the evening in a sheltered atmosphere. In the wine cellar, over 10.000 hand-picked bottles of wine are waiting for you to be discovered - please ask for a view or recommendation.
We also offer wine tasting for small groups, we arrange Winemakers Dinner from spring to autumn and atmospheric Christmas parties in front of the chimney.

History
Established in 2009.
Tollbodens main house - todays hotell - was build between 1783-85. From then until 1822 the other buildings were raised. Tollboden was privately owned by four different owners until the Finance-, commerce- and customs department bought the property in 1820. After this it was Kragerø`s customs department until it was closed down in 1992. After some years in private ownership it became a restaurant in 1999. Today we can welcome our guests in to different restaurants - Tollboden Restaurant and Tollboden Bakhagen - as well as in this unique hotell.
