Picnic pavilions, swimming pool, tennis courts, softball fields and much, much more make up Myers Park. Plenty of shade is provided by the canopy trees throughout the park. A notable mention was the horse shoe throwing area that had horse shoes ready to throw! I actually threw a dead ringer within a couple of throws! The park is relatively large and with what seems to be ample parking. Located in an older residential part of Tallahassee, Myers Park seems to be a great place to throw a BBQ or birthday party or simply to get out and meander around the densely wooded acreage which is very beautiful.

There is metered street parking along the sides of the park and also within a reasonable walking distance. This park is home to one of Tallahassee's largest dog parks. The p[arks namesake was the person charged with doing the landscaping on the chain of parks that this park is located. It has a long history, being around for over 85 years. The park is not very well maintained and seemed to be a hangout for for local urban campers. The park has a brick paved walkway that goes down the center of it. You will also find a few metal square picnic tables and a pavilion with nothing under it. Just off of the dog park, is a paved circular area with benches along its outside perimeter. This is a nice hang out spot, if you are in the area and have no other place to go. I do not see much value outside of that and it is definitely not a destination spot.

This is a very nice skate park that is located in the Railroad Square Art District. It is really…read morenice and has everything you would want in a skate park. It is open to the public and not fenced in. It is a long park, which is marked with a tall snake head. The park was opened in 2022 and costed $2.8 million. It features a 225-foot orange and green snake run element that is meant to pay homage to the neighboring FAMU Rattlers. You will also find two shade structures, competition style bowl, stenciled quarter pipe, a U-shaped ramp and elements that mimic real "street skating", including curved banks and ledges, various textured stamping, an A-frame with a ledge, pyramid hips with ledges, rails, and a manual pad, and a snake gap with hubbas. I am not skater, but this park appears to be well planned and thought of, with skaters in mind. It is well maintained and I like it artistic flare. The parks snake is not only a skate part feature, but a sculpture in itself. This is one of the few skate parks in Tallahassee probably one of the better ones that I have seen across the country. I highly recommend checking this spot out if you are a skater.

It is next to a library and it appears that this "park" shares a parking lot with the library. I cannot see people coming here to picnic or play catch, but there was a few joggers and walkers enjoying the view and the path on this Monday morning.
