The shop is apparently a branch of the Cherry's outfit currently selling much of the same in satiny clutches and dripping costume jewellery over in the St Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. And with special offer earrings, bracelets and rings on sale, each under a tenner, it's easy to get glammed up for a good night out (and not worry too much about losing that sparkler on some grimy pub floor!).

There are Trinity College branded items available, with the overall selection of TCD and tourist tchotchkes to be well presented and varied. Even though there were plenty of customers, and the line was long, the cashier patiently brought the tote down for me since it was out of my reach. Sadly, it was too large for my petite frame but I would have certainly bought one if it came in a smaller size. I recommend this store for the immense selection and the friendly service.

I miss roches, it always reminded me of being a kid for some reason, anywho i like Debenhams too. The reason i like this paticular debenhams is that it is the only place in The Square that i can shop in some of the shops that i love for clothes. Debenhams has concessions for shops like oasis and warehouse and monsoon and you cant find individual shops for these stores in the square. The other great reason to visit debenhams is you get to look at all the (what i call) Fancy make up stands that you cant find in boots, things like Bobby Brown and Benefit, ones that i love but can find in your normal kind of shop, its for things like this that you totally need Debenhams!

As an international retailer, the shop is able to offer bigger, plusher brands to shoppers than it's previous incarnation as Roches Stores would have managed. Geared mostly to women (aren't all these shops?), Debenham's at The Square offers beauty, home and fashion choices from high street brands the likes of whom wouldn't normally be found in Tallaght's single shopping centre. That said, there's still an edge of chaos here, and my foray into the shoe department was on frought with danger: winter boots scattered on the floor, no stock other than what was on the racks, and if I was looking for a size 8 shoe (er, for... a friend) I'm out of luck. Sorry 'bout dat. I'll take Debenham's presence here as a sign of better things to come, and not take it too personally that those better things aren't here yet.

Mezina is located just across the road from Fagan's pub in Drumcondra and has the potential to be a…read morelittle gem of a place. It's a small boutique but I was drawn in one day by bright shiny bags on the window display. I ended up walking out with a lovely dress for the sum of €65 and it's one of those dresses that is slightly unusual and has been admired by many people since. Staff in there are friendly and manage not to seem like they're watching you even if you're the only person in there (which happens...it's small!). It's a bit hit and miss-sometimes there are lots of things I'd like, other days I won't see anything at all that takes my fancy, but it's reasonably priced and a great option for slightly unusual pieces. The accessories they stock are lovely-have to exercise great self-control to avoid bag shopping! So, if you're in the area, definitely pop in and have a nose around. You never know what you might find. And there's the added bonus of feeling like you've found somewhere special that nobody else knows about ;-)

This Centra is possibly no different to any other Centra in Dublin in terms of what they stock etc…read more It's the usual selection of newspapers, magazines, slightly over-priced groceries, sandwiches and hot food counter stuff that is rarely appetising. But having said that, I must say that this Centra's staff are really lovely. They are so friendly and helpful and always go out of the way to say hello because they'll remember you've been in before. So even though I'm not a huge fan of the store itself I have to hand it to the staff for a great, friendly and efficient service at all times.

While on the surface there is little to distinguish this from other newsagents... in fact other ones probably look better, and are more spacious and comfortable, but this shop has one thing which sets it aside. This shop has absolutely the most insane deals every day. As you walk in you are greeted with an entire shelf of stock which is on special offer. These range from the standars (buy 1 get 1 free) to absolutely baffling (buy one tin of peaches get 3 mars bars free. Really it is a little adventure everytime you go in.

Here is your City Centre depot for every type of signage needed. From bin day reminders to high voltage warnings, construction signs and reflective road cones, it's all here. Really. Head for to the desk at the back of the shop and browse the stacks of stamp-prints available, or be daring and commission a rubber stamp of your very own. Personal seals and company-specific stamps are a speciality for the business (something tells me it has a bit to do with the name). Hours are tight though, so if you're looking for the right seal to press on those wedding invites, or want a fleet of "NO DEAL" rocker stamps to pass out at work, be sure to call ahead.
