I'm a pass holder/member which allows me to play this course whenever I want. This is the 2nd…read morenicest course in the Bossier City/Shreveport area. Southern Trace is probably better but I wouldn't actually know since that course is PRIVATE and I've never been extended an invite to tee it up there. But for a Daily Rate of Play this is hands down the best course in the area. $65 green/cart fee is what you can look to pay if you roll up and want to peg a tee in the ground. This is the cost no matter the day of the week or the time of day. There is NO Twilight savings etc... The greens are fast and the course is well maintained. My only complaint is some of the fairways are mowed too tight which can lead to mis-hits which can be extremely aggravating!! However, overall I highly recommend this course if you're in the area and looking to get in 18...

As soon as my group walked into the pro-shop, we were scoffed at. The guy behind the desk (older…read moreguy, a younger one showed up later who was much nicer) yelled at us that there were temporary greens. I'm serious, this wasn't a simple spoken instruction, it was a command loudly given that must've come from a place of insecurity. We were on a bachelor party trip (everyone was well-behaved and sober, it was 8:45 a.m), so one of our group requested that the six of us play together. The man in the pro shop replied in utter disbelief that we even asked the question that we could not do that because it was "against the rules." Normally we wouldn't have asked, but there was basically no one playing this day, so what could it hurt? He proceeded to get very angry when asked why we couldn't play in a six-some, and again yelled "It's the rules!" I'm all for rules when there's a reason behind them, alas, he could not give us one. To add to that, the greens fees were discounted 40% because of the temporary greens. I checked out first and was charged the correct price. My buddy checked out immediately afterward as he was next in line, and was charged full price. Now this was the same buddy that asked about us all playing together, so I can only infer that the worker needed some sort of retaliation. My friend got his refund, and the rest were charged accordingly. We met a worker on the first tee box who was very kind. We told him our troubles and he said that was a normal occurrence. Because we were on a bachelor trip, he said that we could play together if we broke up on the holes visible from the tee shop so Mr. Insecurity couldn't see us. We were excited for the newfound levity and started our round. About 6 holes thru, another worker pulled up and said that we could not actually play as a group of six because it was AGAINST THE RULES, so we divided our party into two groups. To add onto this, there were temporary greens because of the massive rainfall that occurred recently. We understood this, but we could not understand that ALL OF THE SPRINKLERS were running the entire time we played, further adding to the muddy bayou that we played in. On several holes we were even hit by the running sprinklers. Normally I wouldn't complain about sprinklers, but I just cannot understand why they were still running and why they were making holes more difficult to maneuver. Needless to say, I will not be back. Aside from the previous few men that were kind, the experience was awful. I don't care what age a person is, they should be treated with respect as paying customers. We are all in our 20's, and it felt as though we were being treated as trespassing vagrants. The guy at the pro-shop sure seemed to be bosom-buddies with the older man that entered before us, but we were not treated with the same amiability. I don't care how cheap it is, skip out on Querbes. To the guys that were actually cordial... I'd find somewhere else to work if I were you. And to the guy who works behind the pro shop desk, get some professional help. No need to be a dismissive jerk.

Great facility that I had the pleasure of experiencing for the first time at the 2018 IPSB Sporting Clay Event... The facility offers several disciplines from Skeet to Trap to Sporting Clays... The Sporting Clay course is compact and challenging... Really nice test of shooting skill The club offers shot shells should you find yourself low or needing to replenish your stock...Annual memberships run $200 plus 35 cents a clay for the discipline you choose to shoot...The club is open to the public and I'm not sure what fees one would face as a visitor...I would expect it to be reasonable so that the public would want to come shoot... I like the place and if I still lived in the area I would strongly consider becoming a member

But this Friday night they had a live band playing out back which is kind of the point of the EBM whole group of businesses. Good music. Then someone turns on some rapid pop/rock/rap crap in the bar and blasts it loud enough to almost drown out the live music, but mostly just make them step all over each other so it's loud enough to make it impossible to understand either. Look, I get it ... loud music at a bar Friday night. This was effing awful and I won't be back. And if the other EBM businesses do this crap I won't be back there either. I really enjoyed Frozen Perogue and the other places look good. But the ear pollution of competing music at Bayou Axe Throwing ruined the whole thing.

My 10 and 7 year old children now refer to this as their favorite park in the country. (We road…read moretrip a lot.) During a recent cross-country venture, I was really grateful to come across this place. Plenty of easy, free parking. Clean, free restrooms. Tons of grass to run around / walk in, as well as a walking path. And -- my children's favorite part -- a really large, nice playground structure with lots of unique pieces and features that you don't find at the more standard playgrounds. Really great place overall. So grateful to have stumbled upon it.

This is a very small no frills sanctuary, The enclosures look a little run down but the cats…read moreappear to be very well cared for. The place runs on whatever grants they can obtain, private donations, fund raisers and admission fees. The staff is made up of All volunteers and you can tell they love the animals but have limited funds. They are only open for visitors one day a week on Saturdays from 12-5pm to limit the amount of stress on the animals. The admission is minimal at $5 per person for adults and $4 for children aged 4-12yrs, 3yrs and under are free. The day we went was a scorcher at over 100 degrees. On our first walk around most of the cats were sleeping or lying under the shade. We stuck around for a little bit and got to see putty tat and Gomez play fighting and jumping in and out of their pool. Moses was all the way in the back of the sanctuary and popped his head up our way a few times. Boudreaux also got up and moved around as did Delilah and Samson. Samson was also in and out of his pool too. Morticia was pacing in her cage the whole time we were there. We think they were all ready to eat as we heard it was a feeding day. Unfortunately we didn't get to witness that as we had to go and no one was able to give a time as to when the feeding would take place. That would be something we wold go back to witness. They have lawn chairs, swings and umbrellas for you to sit and watch the cats, and on a cooler day I would stay for hours to observe. We went back into the office to cool off for a little bit before going back out to see them again. The stories are so sad how people think these exotic cats would make great pets until they become about 300 lbs. Others were abused or neglected, these truly are rescue cats who now have a safe permanent home and regular vet care. The office is basically a small gift shop with T-shirts, mugs, magnets etc. They also sell bottled drinks and the proceeds go back to the cats. Everyone was friendly, but I would suggest the staff (volunteers) be more professional, when taking a group on the tour and talking about each cat. The individual we had providing us a tour talked way to fast and at times mumbled. She also chose to talk while walking ahead of us so her back was to us and we couldn't hear. She was very sarcastic when explaining each cats situation and where they came from, here tone was not towards the cats but the individuals who they had to rescue these cats from. In my opinion more focus on the cats and less on the nimrods (as she liked to call them) that kept these cats as pets. I would also suggest some form of typed up sign on each enclosure which gives the back story and information. The enclosures did have name plates for each cat and a poster in the gift shop provided a picture of all the cats that are currently residing there. Currently they have 15 cats. One cat passed away last year (Robin) but he is still pictured on the poster in the gift shop in case you want to see him. This is a small place and won't take much of your day unless you just want to hang out there all day with your new friends but it's definitely a fun and interesting place to check out at least once when you're in the area. It is located about 25 minutes from our hotel (Horseshoe) and definitely worth the drive to see these beautiful cats. I will go back to observe and hopefully see a feeding.
