Second time here, 1st time was during pandemic and we were seated in the patio. This time came in with a brig group for an office anniversary/Christmas party. Food: all in all was tasty and really good! On our menu are: tomatina's signature garlic rolls, bruschetta, caesar salad, mixta salad, calamari, carne combo pizza, mama's spaghetti and meatballs, baked penne bolognese, chicken marsala and salmon marsala. To cap off the night, we had tiramisu for dessert. I also ordered an espresso martini and was really impressed. Service was totally one of the best we had. I am not a huge pasta lover, it's not my first choice when going out to eat but this place was good. I had the Pasta Trio that comes with Alfredo, Lasagna and Pesto Penne, I wasn't too sure I'd like the Pesto one, but it was really good. My favorite thing about this place was the App they use, it's great for large groups. Was told that using their QR code is a bad idea during staff changeover at 5pm (very few people in restaurant). Running a restaurant is simple: service and food quality are 50/50 in the customer experience. Most important, when in doubt, keep the drinks flowing. Food is quality, that's the saving grace. I received and email about a live music event and thought to give it a try. The music was great, and I found it to be the right volume for the venue and the artist was great. When we arrived most of the tables were empty and we were asked if we had a reservation. I did not and expected to be turned away. However, the hostess said hold on a second, let's see what we can do. And just like that, we were seated close enough to be moved by the singer but just the right amount away that we could still carry on a conversation, mostly about how lovely the night was turning out! I had chicken Parmesan and my wife had a walnut salad. Both were prepared well and quite tasty. Along with that, the pasta was perfectly cooked, literally steaming hot al dente. It was a fantastic meal. The service was excellent. I believe they were training some new people because we had three servers rotating through making sure drinks were filled and that we were happy. I completely understand the situation and some would probably complain that they were "over served" but I will not. They were nice, and wanted to make sure things were great! I have only one suggestion. This would be for the chef or owner. We really wanted desert and the menu was a bit light on options. Perhaps there is a way to create 2-3 signature desserts that are typical and profit rich. You can't go wrong with a brownie and ice cream, perhaps a cobbler with ice cream, and even a healthier option like fresh fruit with whip cream. Now that covid is getting more manageable for us vaccinated people, my mother has fond memories of the former restaurant "Florentine". She would tell us how delicious their pizza and flat breads were. Since she is unable to get vaccinated or leave the house due to illness, she sent me and my dad to see if they were still in business. We arrived a little confused at first not realizing that "Tomatina" had now taken over this location, but happy to see it still serves Italian cuisine. We were greeted by a very nice young man who showed us menus and helped answer our questions about their food. We ended up ordering a medium pizza 1/2 pepperoni, sausage & black olives, and the other half garden. We also included the Caprese Piadine which is a flat bread topped with hearts of Romaine, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil pesto, & creamy balsmaic vinaigrette. As we waited for the freshly prepared food, the man who took our "to go" order, enthusiastically informed us about their restaurant with up coming specials and future promotions. The interior is very nice and has a roomy dining area with bar. I was quite impressed, and hoped to return again to get the whole inside dining experience. When the food was ready, it smelled delicious, and we couldn't wait to deliver the goods back to my mom. However, things declined quickly. My parents said it was a big disappointment. It was way too salty, and tough to eat! Even the spinach on the Caprese salad flat bread was gritty like it had not been washed thoroughly before using it. I really was hoping for a better experience than we had! We came for lunch and due to COVID, they only offer outside dining. We were the only customer since it's pretty frigid out. There was a party of four walking out because they had wanted to eat inside but since it isn't allowed, they walked out. We probably should've did the same. The hostess/server let us know that we had to place our order at the hostess stand...awkward but okay? We were here fir lunch and unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu. We ended up ordering two pastas, it came to a little under $40 not including tip. After sitting out in the cold, it was comforting to see our server bring out our steaming pasta inside of paper TO-Go containers. My spaghetti and meatballs was ok, all I could taste was salt and not much of other spices or herbs. Disappointing. My hubby's rigatoni was undercooked. For the price, the portions were very small and they don't include any type of bread unlike other places. So, I think my rating is more than fair. We have only been here twice, and it's for brunch. We always get the prosciutto and fried egg pizza. It's one of the best breakfast pizzas we have had. We also add the cinnamon French toast. I love how the syrup and cream are served separately so we can add in ourselves and control the sweetness. The bread that is used for the French toast is a bit dense corn bread like and we love that. It is unique and flavorful. We are planning on returning for lunch and dinner to try more of their food options. read more

Came in for happy hour on Friday with my husband. We arrived around 5:15 and there were only a few tables filled. They told us we could sit wherever we wanted. We first opted to go outside on the patio, but it faces a parking lot and a busy street so we decided to go inside. I would recommend adding some greenery to separate the patio from the parking lot/street. We sat in a comfy booth and were quickly greeted and given water. The waiter told us about drink specials, a seasonal pasta special, and told us about the online ordering system. We were given paper menus though so I'm not sure why both a paper menu and online ordering system is in place. Also, as it wasn't too busy and we were checked on multiple times, I don't know why the waiter couldn't just take our order. When I was looking at their online menu I saw a great happy hour deal, including $6 cocktails. However, these cocktails all use a sake because they don't yet have their full liquor license. I overheard that they should have it by the end of October '22, so I wonder how that might affect their HH specials moving forward. We ordered a couple bites off the happy hour menu as well- calamari ($9) and bruschetta ($7). Both were tasty; the calamari was lightly battered and came with tomato and aioli dipping sauces. The bruschetta was 3 thick pieces of bread with pesto sauce, sliced roasted tomatoes, and sliced mozzarella. Overall, giving 3 stars because the experience was OK. read more

The service was good and one server gave our son special attention. I also appreciate people working on Christmas Eve. We ordered the calamari to start. Our piadinis were great also- both salmon and steak.. great amounts of meat, salad, sauce.. My husband's lasagna was pretty good but not as amazing as our dishes. The server makes your cocktails (apparently only on weeknights) I thought it was cool because they had some good knowledge . Our server was attentive; the food came out quick and was excellent. I had the chicken marsala , my son had the Seasonal Shrimp Pasta; we also had bruschetta, Brussels sprouts and the meatball appetizer which was also fantastic. We had a 3rd person in case you were thinking these guys eat a ton.
