There were not…read morefruits and veggies, but it was a cute little market with some local food vendors, crafts, artisans, and local services. This took place outside the clubhouse of Mirabay. I've never been out this way, but just so you know it's stunning. The grassy area has a few shady areas which it's good for you to know especially with our hot hot sun. The day I went it was during the day. But the next two months, they are scheduled on a Sunday night. It's a perfect place to browse, shop, and get a bite with the family. It's inside the Mirabay neighborhood. There is plenty of street parking with no pay. Glad to have checked it out, and come across a few vendors I haven't seen like Blok which is shaved ice, and A Colombian food truck which looked really good!

We walked into a beautiful little shed that had several baked items to choose from but we were there for the cinnamon rolls. He shared a pamphlet with how to reheat and store the cinnamon rolls. We bought a dozen and they were absolutely wonderful. My family enjoyed them. We will definitely be back. A must stop by if you're in the area.

From all of the people in the front letting you taste the fresh fruit before you pick, to the gentleman who taught us what to pick and how, to each of the several people wishing us a safe drive home before the rain came through. There were plenty of oranges ripe for the picking and the groves are healthy and active! The honeybells are seriously the juiciest citrus I've ever had. The farm market has everything Florida you could ever need and we also brought home some orange tea cookies, monkey butter, chocolate gators, and some juicy fresh pomelos. PLEASE pay Dooley Groves a visit and bring your out of state friends- they will thank you! (Ps- they also ship their citrus!)

A bit of a disappointment for blueberry picking. After driving out to Lithia/Picnic after seeing…read morean ad for this place, we were told on arrival that they were pretty picked out. Boooo!! This turned out to be a small blueberry farm in a guys backyard. The owner, Brian, was very nice, at least told us ahead of time that the berries were few, but we gave it a shot anyhow. So hubby and I went in search of the juicy berry. Dang, hardly any. After 15 minutes or so, in the blazing sun, we gave up and walked listlessly back to the owner. We showed him our measly 2 or 3 cups of berries. He put them in a plastic bag, handed them to me and said "Happy Mother's Day". I thought that was very sweet, like I was hoping the berries would be. Good for Brian he sold of berries, bad for us. Maybe next year.
