Apart from asking what i was wanting done and asking Ok at the end she didnt speak so my time was spent looking at my own reflection in silence for 40 minutes. The cut looked fuller on one side which ive now discovered is due to the layers being longer on one side and a fringe just the right length to poke me in the eyes! Such a disappointment.

However, a word of warning if you like your long locks be sure you don't let the hair stylists get scissor happy as you may be pining by the end of you visit.

The salon offers a simple walk in policy and apparently a 15 minute wait is pretty much the maximum that it ever takes. The selection is simple...there are 3 options competitively priced...cut, cut and blow-dry, cut colour and blow-dry. So no confusion there. After a minute of explaining what I wanted, I was asked to take a seat and then brought over to the main cutting area. It's a long, bright room done out with gilt wallpaper which was a bit disconcerting at first. The hairdresser was attentive and cut the hair as requested, even going a bit shorter at the back when I asked. They didn't have a price for this particular cut as it's a mostly female clientele but as it only took a few minutes they only charged me £6. As reasonable as any barber I've been to. Pros: No booking necessary. Friendly staff. Cons: Mainly for female customers.

He is rude and obnoxious and when i came back to the salon next day after my cut and colour to have a small correction to the colour he became defensive and rude. Thing is he would rather risk the reputation of his salon than just fix the simple problem. I opted to visit a salon nearby that specialise in colour correction, they could see the problem instantly and like i mentioned they agreed it wouldnt take much to fix it. They were also mystified as to why the owner of original salon was so unhelpful when there is so much competition these days for business. This guy needs to listen and not talk so much, he clearly doesnt know how to represent his own salon. Tut tut! After reading this he will realise he has done the salon no favours. Silly man.

They never let you leave without your hair looking on point. Parking can be quite difficult during the day as its busy with students parking close to Queens. The training nights start 5.45pm and I can always find a close space. There are many qualified people in here's. They have been part of numerous Loreal colour competitions. Members of the team train regularly with big named stylists in the uk. The venue is clean,bright and welcoming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I know people find it difficult to source hairdressers. This place is on point. Many of my friends also go here and think it's fab.

My hairdresser was really grumpy though. I didn't want to be her best friend but for Chrissakes a bit of small talk wouldn't go amiss. I also had to explain to her over and over again how to cut my hair as she wasn't getting me at all. Everytime I asked her to redo a bit she looked disgruntled.
