I find it so hard to find the right hairdresser so I've been on an endless quest of trying different places for years now. I decided to try Toni Cook as I visit here to get my nails done with Sacha (https://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/sacha-make-up-and-nail-artist-glasgow-2) and I've always liked the vibe of the place.
The location is great - just off Buchanan St. It's easy to find if you head down Springfield Court towards The Lab and then turn left - head through the door and up the stairs to the first floor. The salon is a really nice space, large and relaxing. They also have good lighting so it doesn't mean you're sitting looking at your face and cringing for an hour (maybe it's just me that feels like that).
Toni was great with my requests - or should I say, lack of requests. I didn't really know what I wanted and was really bad at explaining what I did want but she understood and I am really happy with the cut I got. I was in and out in an hour, including a wash, blow dry and straighten and it was £40 for the cut. She has her own loyalty scheme and gave me a wee card for next time I visit.
I felt really comfortable and relaxed here when I normally feel a bit stressed and awkward at the hairdressers, so I'll definitely be back.
Note: she takes appointments online which is super easy. If you're getting a colour, you'll need an extra appointment beforehand for getting your skin tested. read more
