Unfortunately, the brand they use here, although thick and appealing to my friend, struck me as more sweet than chocolate. This is a nice, typical, every day Italian bar. They serve coffee, some alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, sandwiches, and a few pastries. Wish i could give 3.5 stars. Maybe an extra star when hot chocolate isn't my main focus.

We received the recommendation…read moreto try out Bar Pianegiani from a friend who rented a house in Todi for a month and thought it was the best gelato in town; I didn't try any other spots because Bar Pianegiani was so delicious! For two euros, you can get a small cup (the perfect amount!) of gelato and can pick up to two different flavors. I couldn't help myself but to get the pistacchio and stracciatella (chocolate chip) both of the times I went. The pistacchio was particularly delicious, creamy and nutty. The little square next to the shop is the perfect place to pause and enjoy your gelato. The square gets particularly crowded on Friday evenings when everybody is out and about.
