Tony and his team photographed our wedding a couple weeks ago and I have a few things to say. First, the day of our wedding, beginning to end, was magical. Tony and his colleague captured that magic in a way I have trouble putting words to. They were on time, dressed well, professional, and didn't need any direction from me or my husband. Within moments of their arrival, it was clear they are well-versed and excellent at what they do. Second, I received several calls from family and friends asking where I found Tony. They were beyond impressed by him and his colleague's attitude and finesse. Lastly, he estimated 8 weeks to finish my photos and I got them in 19 days. This isn't to say they were rushed by any means. Each photo is beautifully edited. While viewing the photos, we laughed, we cried, and we were transported back in time to the best day of our lives. Edit: Okay - so I'd like to start by saying that I think I have ever only left one negative review ever. I am only leaving this review so another bride does not have a super fun wedding only to get back sub-par wedding photos. We paid $7400 to hire Tony due to his great reviews and even a really good recommendation. $7400 is a lot of money for a photographer. This is not even including his tip. I genuinely think that someone with a newer iPhone could have taken better photos and that a photography student could have done a better job editing said photos. Our wedding was in a gorgeous setting. We had a lot of unique details that really made out wedding special. The photos could have been incredible. We did not have a lot of guidance on posing which I think is a really big deal. We've never been married before so obviously have never had wedding photos done before and were kind of nervous, excited, and jittery. I think that had we had some coaching on different poses we could have had some much better photos. For example, the first look, my arms are awkwardly out and I look like a Thanksgiving turkey. Photo attached. If I would have been told to make one small adjustment I wouldn't have looked so stupid but how would I know? There are quite a few photos of guests that are just awful from the lighting to the subjects. Unflattering and just unnecessary. I've included a few of those too, like why would any bride want to get those pictures back? The photos are over-edited to the point where the bridesmaids dress are drastically different from the actual photo. Many of the photos have weird lines in them that are strange but also an editing issue. A few of those are attached. There is one picture where it looks like my lipstick is photoshopped so poorly that my lips aren't even centered to my teeth - that pictures is attached so you can see how bad it is. These are a few things that I truly think that anyone would be disappointed with especially considering the price. We paid for quality which I don't think was delivered. We can't go back and redo it which sucks because our wedding was a blast and I really wish we had better pictures of it. We had a petting zoo and there were a few pictures of the animals, I would have loved to see our guests enjoying the animals instead of awkward pictures of them eating. I did attach a blurry picture of a bunny though. I booked my wedding date specifically so I could have Tony as my photographer. I genuinely wish we would have gone with someone different who would have helped us create some incredible photos. The lack of guidance and instruction was our downfall. I will say, there are about 10 photos that I really love. The rest though, like I said at the beginning are subpar. Certainly not worth the money. The other reviews are so good and the photos on Tony's instagram are beautiful so I do not know why ours are so below-average. This is my theory - a few months before our wedding, Tony announced he was going to now be a real estate agent. My guess is that he just wasn't putting his heart into photography anymore as he had a pretty drastic career change. Not sure if he is even booking weddings but if he is, to any bride out there, this is your warning. Hopefully Tony is better at selling houses than photographing my wedding. Overall - pretty disappointing. read more

A long time ago, I don't remember when, I saw photos from a wedding Tony had done and I knew immediately I wanted him to photograph my wedding. There's just something unique about Tony's photography style. You can experience the emotion captured from his photos and that's what I wanted. I wanted to look back on our photos and video and relive the most important day of our lives. We used Tony for photo and video at our wedding in Albuquerque, NM. The wedding was at Los Poblanos in November. Organizing a wedding is pretty tough and I was incredibly thankful for Tony's expertise and advice. He is familiar with the venue and knew all the best spots for pictures and made the entire process on our wedding day so seamless. Photo and video were the least stressful parts of wedding planning for us. Day of, Tony arrived early, he captured all the special moments of the day - venue, getting ready, reading vows, first look, ceremony, speeches, dances - and, he got all the small details we want to look back on and remember but aren't necessarily top of mind on the day of. Tony coached us through photos and video and made us feel comfortable. It was very easy for us to relax and be ourselves. The photos were amazing and the video still makes me tear up. Tony and his team are the BEST. Going into the process of planning our wedding, we knew photography/videography was way up there on our list of priorities. A couple of months later, we came back to NM for our engagement shoot, which was the perfect way for us two behind-the-scenes types to get comfortable in front of the camera before our wedding day. He scoped the location before we had arrived and found a perfect spot for our "first look" photos. He is energetic and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. When we booked Tony for videography, he mentioned that they got an amazing steady cam videographer (Ariel) and if we liked what he posted on the website, then these would be waaaaay more amazing. We were extremely pleased with the video and we are so glad we included it in our package (we hadn't planned on it). Just a few extra helpful details if you are thinking of going with Tony Gambino Photography. - He mentions right away that he is not a portrait guy, so no Bride and Groom with this aunt, now bride and groom with this uncle. He is much more about the candid photos, which shows in his portfolio and I think makes for great shots! - I believe he does most the editing himself and he is a busy guy during the wedding season, so expect ~6 - 9 weeks before getting photos back or a little longer for the video. I'd give Tony a 10-star review if I could. We found Tony through some photos he shot at another wedding. They were so distinct and interesting compared to the typical wedding photos we'd seen. We reached out, and he responded quickly and asked to set up a video call. The call was great because it gave us a chance to connect face to face and meet each other to decide if it was a good fit. Once we decided we wanted to go with Tony, we scheduled an engagement shoot with him (the engagement shoot is included with his wedding packages). He drove us up (in his own car, after buying us coffee and a pastry) to a tucked away lake in Central Oregon. We spent about six hours with him that day and got to know him even better -- and he got to know US well too. And what got us laughing, which was key on the wedding day. For the wedding day itself, Tony and his team (two additional shooters) were so awesome. Not only did they not add any stress to the day, but they even chilled out me, my bride, and the whole wedding party. They were so funny and down to earth. Then we got our wedding photos back, and they were absolutely incredible. All the moments -- big and small -- Tony and his team captured them beautifully. I can't recommend Tony more highly. This review is long, long overdue! My husband and I have been married now for almost 4 years, and every few months we keep telling each other we need to sit and write a review. But, the perfection and professionalism of Tony and his team is hard to encapsulate in words. We eloped in March to White Sands, NM. We rented a cabin in the mountains outside Ruidoso with our 2 best friends who also served as witnesses for our elopement. The guys all arrived in the morning, and took some shots around the cabin, watched us going about somewhat of a 'routine' to get ready and captured the best moments. The guys told me they had lots of great ideas for photos of my dress, shoes, etc... and asked if they would allow me to let them capture their ideas. I gave then entirely free reign over their creative ideas! Since it was such a small and intimate wedding, it felt like the team was a part of our little celebration family. They witnessed the 'ups' of the day ( getting married in a gorgeous location), and they witnessed the 'downs' of the day (when my husband forgot to pack half his wedding wear.) When we arrived at White Sands, the photography team ever so politely asked if we would require them to wear shoes, to which we told them we would all be going barefoot. They asked if we had a specific place picked out, and when we stated we didn't have a spot picked out, they said they had a few favorite spots and took us around until we found one that worked with the weather and the lighting. When we officially tied said "I do," the guys were all beside us taking wonderful photos, and capturing every sweet moment. They drank champagne with us, and toasted to our future. After the wedding, we were taken around to different spots the guys had scouted to photos. Overall, we were a very unfussy couple and really let the guys just do their thing - we already knew the photos would be perfect. Tony has a specific style that is timeless, and one day I am most definitely going to buy his presets in Lightroom. :-) I can absolutely, highly recommend Tony and his team! read more

My husband and I got married in December of 2015 and used Tony as our photographer. I searched for close to 6 months for the perfect photographer who had photos that were what we were looking for. We met him in person the month before when we went up to Bend, Oregon to shoot our complementary engagement shoot.
