I have never written a review of anything before. My husband and I are unbelievably frustrated with this agency. We canceled our policy, and after 3 months, called to see where the money refund was. I was told, 'it's in the mail'. I waited another month, no refunds, and contacted the agency again. I had to leave a message, this I repeated 6x, then I finally got a text, saying, 'new checks are in the mail'. I waited another month, and no checks arrive, I tried to call a further 4x and had to leave messages each time as no one in that office ever picks up the phone. After the 4th Vmail, I get another text, instructing me 'checks went out a third time, so destroy X checks and deposit X checks'. Finally 5 months later 2 checks ( not 6) arrive, I promptly deposit them, and they bounce, incurring us bank fees. I call and yet again cannot speak to a soul at this office. Now 6 months after I cancel my policy, I have no checks and overdraft fees. My husband called corporate to complain, and they said he would get a call back. This time, we did get a call ( obviously Corporate is more important to answer calls from over customers at the Tony Pearson Agency. The clerk gives us a 'customer care' number, I promptly call it and I find it's a resource center for Agencies. I call the agency and for the first time ever, the clerk picks up the phone. He put me through to Pearson whom heads up the agency, who is incredibly condescending and rude. No, I'm sorry, No, this should not have taken so long, nope, not a kind or apologetic word to this customer. He said, he only became aware of our situation today, and he'd resolve it, I said, but it's your agency? He replied, ' the longer I'm on the phone with you, the longer it will take me to resolve this'. Again, obviously customer service is nota practice from the top down at this agency. So here I sit, 6 months, no refund, and multiple bank fees!!! My husband and I are both in Business, I hope we are NEVER so dispresctful, unprofessional and just plain unkind to our customers. But at the end of the day, it made the decision to not go with this agency fully AFFIRMED! read more

Kaylee DeRuyter and Pearson's firm were referred to us. I emailed her six days ago asking for a combined homeowner and auto quote. I never received a reply so I called to follow-up. She said, "Oh, I got your email but you didn't include your phone number." I informed her that I emailed her because that is my preferred method of communication. She said she would run a search to see if my property was "eligible" for homeowner's insurance through State Farm. It wasn't because they don't insure property close to the ocean. (This is Florida.) Waste of my time. She could have run the search six days ago and replied but she didn't. She just let the email sit in her inbox because I didn't provide a phone number. Instead, I, the prospective customer, had to spend more of my time following-up only to discover that this company cannot help me. Again, a complete waste of my time. I recently received a notification that my home owners insurance had lapsed. Greatly puzzled by this, I contacted the company which carried the policy. They informed me that it was due to lack of payment. Odd, as I never let a bill linger more than a day. Regardless, I found myself looking for coverage. Tony Pearson was most professional in guiding me to companies which were available to provide me through the inspection process. He then gave me, what I consider, a most favorable quote. This was done in the span of two days. As you can imagine I was very distressed not having coverage on our home (during hurricane season). In the end, I had a equivalent policy for less than I had been paying. I had dealt with Tony many years past. Then and now, I found him to be a most honest and straight forward individual. Very dissapointed in this Agency. I wish I had read the reviews before I went with these people. I cancelled coverage for one of my vehicles February 9th and spoke to Kaylee. She was so rude that I cancelled my other vehicle with State Farm the following day and went with Geico. I called again today to find out why I have not been refunded the premium. Spoke to Nick who said my insurance had not been cancelled. Now Im really pissed. I asked to speak to a supervisor and Nick transferred me to Kaylee who was actually pretty decent today. She confirmed both vehicles are cancelled and the main office in Texas has been affected by the storm so any refund will be delayed. No problem, I am happy with her response and glad the negative experience is over. THEN I get a totally unnecessary call from Pierson and he is just as nasty as he can be and repeats everything Kaylee just told me. I kept telling him she already told me all this and kept talking over me. I didn't need him anymore and ended the call. I am so thankful I never had an accident and really needed these people. I have been with State Farm for over 9 years and have moved from different states which means that I've worked with MANY wonderful agents however, Tony Pearson is the most unprofessional and money-hungry and money-driven person I've given my business to. He doesn't care about your well-being and doesn't care about your issues or concerns you're having when it comes to your accounts and policies. HE DEFINITELY DOESN'T LISTEN SO THAT MEANS HE DOESN'T CARE TO UNDERSTAND YOU. He thinks he does, which shows his complete lack of awareness and his ignorance. He lacks the skills to de-escalate issues and has the inability to listen and understand his clients. During conversations when he should be listening to you, gets flustered and thinks that you're being disrespectful because you are explaining yourself and instead of truly understanding his client, he thinks of you as a threat. His job is CUSTOMER SERVICE! You can't service your customer if you don't know what the problem is. He is weak-minded and lacks the skills to make things better for his clients. When you walk into a place of business with a problem, you'd expect them to listen and understand your issue. That was not and is never my experience when I interact with the Tony Pearson office. I always leave feeling worse and never better. I have experienced Amazing service from other agents. My past agents would send me hand-written cards thanking me for my business and also greeting me a happy birthday. My past agents would remember my name when I'd call or visit their office. My past agents would get to know me and make sure that all is well with me and my past agents took the time to listen and understand me. Not Tony! He just wants to sell you something and collect his money! He just wants to make sure that YOU listen and understand him. He wants to make sure that you understand that he is not wrong and that he didn't make any mistakes. It's either State Farm underwriters that made the mistake it it's YOU, but it definitely isn't HIM or his office. Haha. That's weird if he thinks he's PERFECT. I am so happy to have learned this about him because I am going to take my business and work with another State Farm agency. My loyalty is with State Farm but it's MOST DEFINITELY not with Tony Pearson! Good Luck to you if you decide to work with him.
