I have been getting pink and white for abut a decade. I've been to salons around the country and have only liked the way my nails came out at a few of them. The guy that did my pink and white nails here almost had it right. I could tell he knew what he was doing by the way he was talking about what he was doing and why. They came out looking good. But they are thick and the white doesn't cover the front edge of the nail, which is obvious because of their thickness. The next day, I could see dark spots where the gel must have dried funny. The pink is almost dark enough to not be able to see the edges of where my nail was before the fill. It cost $41 for the fill, which I feel is a little on the pricy side. My granddaughters and I went in to get pedicures for the 4 of us it cost me 199 dollars i about choked. Got a basic gel manicure and got charged 35$ when online it says 20$. Bad quality with unclean supplies. They used old files and soaked my nails in not even warm soapy water. I didn't get what I asked for and the owner was going to let me walk out with nails I wasn't happy with. The vibe was okay, they didn't look very clean. I asked for a simple design with hearts on it and they said they were to hard to do so he picked for me and I had to do ombré and I did not want ombré but he insisted that's what I had done, he also wouldn't let me pick my own shade of the colors I picked (pink and purple) and he picked the shade of those colors for me. Worst service and final outcome I've ever had. Really terrible liquidy acrylic application so it and the uv top coat hardened under my cuticles, cuts everywhere. forced me to get acrylic for my design when it can definitely be done with classic nail polish. Writing this the morning after. 3/10 nails have already popped off and almost all of them feel loose. Really glad I was already going to the cities today so I can get them redone. Sent the lady I'm going to for the new set these pictures and she said there was no way to attempt to fix so now I'm out 55 for this shit plus removal and a new set. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance for 3 pedicures on my birthday at 2 pm. we show up on time, and get seated. no water to soak our feet in, massage chairs didn't work. they took 30 minutes to get started on the other two with me, and kept accepting walk ins. they started the walk ins before mine! i sat there for 45 minutes- no offer of water, barely a greeting, no colors to pick out, no soaking of my feet at the very least while waiting. i eventually gave up and said "i don't even want one anymore," because this establishment was no longer worthy of my money. the staff proceeded to be rude, and then clearly talked s**t about me (not in english). what a way to be treated on your birthday. i could understand and have patience if the place were busy and if i were a walk in- but i wasn't. i had scheduled an appointment and it was NOT busy when i arrived on time for the appointment. horrible management. additionally, they don't ask you what type of pedicure you would like (even though i requested the basic lowest cost pedicure when scheduling the appointment). they will just try to sneakily give you the highest price pedicure, without saying anything, so they make more cash. pathetic!! additionally, after speaking with a licensed cosmetologist in the parking lot after walking out, we found out they are performing illegal services here as well. they also reuse tools that are not properly sanitized. if foot fungus is your thing, this is your place! i will NEVER be returning- and i highly advise AGAINST going here. don't waste that hard earned money. i would give -10 stars if i could. don't waste your money here. totally awful!! go to the mall instead!! read more

My mom went yesterday to get a dip and a pedicure. My mom was treated like absolute garbage by the woman who did the pedicure. She criticized my moms feet several times and even asked her if she went barefoot everywhere. Not only is that completely unprofessional but personal and f*cking awful. Me and one of my friends went to Tony's nails & spa and I got a manicure and she got a pedicure I got seated right away which was good. When he started with my nails he was pretty good gentle and then it turned into he was more interested in watching YouTube videos and picking music he didn't even pay attention to my nails at all! I had to tell him which color goes where every time he was going to pain a nail because he was to busy watching his YouTube video. Not to mention my friend was getting her pedi and the lady didn't massage her feet. She didn't try and get some heat off the heat rag and then put it on her foot so the whole top of her foot is burnt. Wouldn't recommend Tony's if your trying to go somewhere good! read more

Stopped here when going through on a vacation and got a gel manicure and pedicure. Within 2 days the polish had completely peeled off of 3 of my fingernails. Since I was on vacation my hands were pretty pampered and not doing anything laborious. Manager offered to redo them - but am no longer in the area. Gentleman doing manicures did not want to provide service asked (gel), but the service he wanted to give (acrylic). He began to grind down the nail and applied glue to my daughters nails to apply acrylic nails after it was clear she wanted gel, so it was too late to "go back". when it was my turn, I asked for a manicure with only polish. He continually pushed for me to do acrylic. due to my profession, I am unable to wear polish, so only wanted short-term color for the weekend. I did not have an appointment, and while I had to wait about 15-20min, a person whom I assume was the manage/owner thanked me and another lady who was waiting, for our patience. They were very nice and my nails looked great after they were finished. But nothing even 24 hours late my nail broke by tapping it on the side of my car. And after a week 4 of my nails had broken from bumping them on the counter. The tips just popped off. I wouldn't have even known they were gone except for the fact I saw it pop off. Lee is great, but I had another guy do them the last 2 times I've been there. I get a normal pedi with shellac polish, and I get a full set / or fill with shellac. The first time I went Lee did my full set mani perfect & another lady did my pedicure perfect as well. The last 2 times I've been I've gotten another guy as he was the only available even after long wait times, (even with an appointment which doesn't matter there) and he did both my mani and pedi..... horribly. The manicure is all different shapes / lengths and horrible painting. The pedi- he doesn't use any tools but the file and doesn't seem like he knows what he's doing for pedicures.. I've never seen him do a pedicure on anyone else so I don't know if it's just because he was the only one available or what, but I'd rather wait than have the worst pedicure possible. I won't be back anymore. Also- it's $91 for a full set & Normal pedi with shellac. I wouldn't mind paying that if it was quality, but it's not. I do not recommend this salon. read more

The gal trimmed my big toenail all the way down the side as I kept trying to tell her to stop! Them she tried to patch it up and polish over it which came off the minute I got home. My toe was so sore for days. I always thought toenails should be trimmed straight across. They never have the polish you pick out -they just use something they want to get rid of. Very rude to speak across the room in a language only they can understand. Place needs cleaning - I saw her put the instruments she used on my feet right back in her tote. I asked for plain polish and got something that I can't even remove - I'll have to go somewhere for another pedicure to get it off! and I tipped her $5 before I knew what she had done to my toe. I am so angry right now. went on July 1 to get full set and pedicure in prep for big family gathering. on the 3rd when party was occurring I saw 2 of the totes Polish was just gone. in afternoon 2 nails off the full set were just gone. I'm like...additional??? no this was on them as I wasn't even going to have them fix totes. he was $30. and I'm like no. and he starts telling me how it costs him to rent store and pay people. and I'm like, you guys are making that in a day. he then starts in on I have to feed my family. and I'm like stand behind your words dude...especially if your business. then starts in with how he has to come from California. and I said I can tell you my sob story. I did not ask him to come to Iowa. so I'm sitting there not seein saying anything. he is trying to get me nails done and is getting sloppy as when he has the grinder to put he starts hitting the nails and chipping and into my hand. I asked him to repair that damage and he insiste insisted no damage they last a long time. I left before getting nail Polish as figured that would be a bust to. This was the worst experience I have ever had. If I could give zero stars I would. First I was assigned to a person who was very inexperienced and painfully nipped me several times. I then asked for another person to finish my pedicure and was very dismayed that they went directly to applying polish. My calluses were not addressed until I pointed that out, the normal lotions were skipped entirely, and they worked on my calluses AFTER applying the polish. I felt like all they wanted was to get me out as quickly as possible. I would never recommend this place. read more

I visited Tony's Nails & Spa on April 30, 2018. I only went there because of time issues and could not get into my regular salon with my schedule. I will never make the mistake of using this business. For starters the pedicure was rushed and I had to point out missed spots of skin trimming around the nails. The session only gets worse, when I say down to have my acrylics removed and replaced with gels. Instead of having disinfect instruments and tools to work on my hands, brought up the wet dirty ones from my pedicure with skin and debris. This is when I realized that little plastic box the tools were kept in was probably teaming with bacteria. That is when I glanced at the work station and there was not a posted state license. The final straw was when the colors I chose off there polish color pallet visually matched, had my toes done and finally brings out the finger and it's way off. They don't know their colors on hand and they need to touch the pallet for fade and wear. I paid $66 for poor work and $45 more to get my nails properly finished the next day when I had time again. If you like poor service and infections go there. I hope the state inspection board reads this and goes in to clean the place up. read more

When going to Tony's the quality of service really just depends on who you get for a tech. I will only go if I can get in with Lina, NuNu, or Lee. In my opinion if you can't get in with one of these people, you are better off not going here. The last pedicure I got here didn't even last a day. I wanted gel. The man didn't do gel. He didn't go through and trim my nails or any of that work they do on your toes. He was looking at me funny during the whole pedicure... an annoyed look like I was taking up his time or something. He was on his phone so much. Normally I don't care if they're listening to music or talking or whatever, but he wasn't even paying attention to what he was doing.
