Best kettle corn I've ever had. Pretty sure they put crack in it. Must go back for more.

I didn't expect to enjoy this arcade as much as I did. I went this past Memorial Day and…read morethankfully, it was not packed AT ALL, it was basically empty. I do think if I went on a day where it was packed, I would not have enjoyed it as much. The racing simulators are pretty cool! The chair shakes while you are racing in order to give it as much real effects as possible. As your driving/racing you have to pay attention to the guides on the floor in colors red, green & yellow signifying you to slow down on certain curves and turns on the different tracks. When you pay for a race, five rounds of racing is included. You can pick your level of difficulty for each round. I went with "rookie" for all of my five rounds and each track was different. It was neat not knowing what to expect each time you began and it was cool to know you could enjoy it even at the most basic level, which is rookie. The food was not bad, but I could've done without it. The fried chicken sand-which was kinda salty, but I was a fan of the truffle fries. The prosecco was good, light and extra bubbly (not pictured). I think the interior was very nice! Being that there was barely anyone, I got to capture some pics which was nice! I see this as being an arcade you enjoy, when it's not many people, as couples and with some friends. Not a place to frequent often, I think.

Very disappointing experience at F1 Arcade Philadelphia during NBA Finals Game 3…read more Our group of eight professionals chose F1 Arcade to watch the game, order food and drinks, and support a local business. With approximately five minutes remaining in the game, the TVs were suddenly turned off without warning. We initially thought there was a technical issue, only to be told that everyone had to leave because it was after 11:00 PM. The issue wasn't that the venue was closing--it was how the situation was handled. No one informed us beforehand that the game would be cut off before it ended, and when a member of our group respectfully expressed his disappointment as a repeat customer, the security manager on duty, Dante, responded aggressively, used profanity, and stated that he "didn't care" because he makes more money than any of us anyway. Customer service and professionalism matter. Unfortunately, the manager's behavior turned what had been an enjoyable evening into a negative experience that left our entire group questioning whether we would return. We hope ownership takes this feedback seriously and addresses both the customer service issues and management conduct at this location.

Museum of Illusions - Philadelphia We visited today at the…read more10:00 AM time slot with our family of four (my wife, myself, and our two 13-year-old boys). Overall, the experience felt underwhelming for the price, but here's a fair breakdown. Pros: There were some genuinely cool illusions. A few brought back memories of things I remember seeing as a kid, while others were new to me. The exhibits cover a variety of illusion types, and most have simple explanations that make it easy to understand how they work. If you enjoy optical tricks and brain teasers, there are definitely a few moments that make you stop and think. Cons: The biggest issue was the size and crowding. The museum is very small, and when we visited it felt packed--almost elbow to elbow. I'm not upset that a lot of people want to visit, but the whole point of reserving a timed entry is usually to control crowd size. Instead, it felt like there were around 60-70 people squeezed into a pretty small area, even at the 10 AM entry time. Because of that, we had to wait for most of the exhibits, and it was common for kids to jump in front while people were trying to take photos or try the illusions. Despite all the waiting and congestion, our family still managed to see and do everything in about 30 minutes. That really shows how small the space is--even with the crowd slowing us down, we still finished the entire place very quickly. I think the experience could be much better if they limited the number of people per time slot, so visitors actually had space to enjoy the exhibits. For the price--over $100 for our family--it just didn't feel like a good value. If tickets were closer to half that price, it might feel more reasonable. As it stands, it's a short and crowded experience for what you pay. Summary: I can see this being fun for some people--especially if you get a group discount, have younger kids who want quick photo opportunities, or just need something short to fill a little time. It can also be fun if you're feeling nostalgic and want to revisit some classic optical illusions. But if you're deciding between this and other things to do in Philly--like a 90-minute bus tour or another attraction--you'll likely get more time, more space, and better value elsewhere.

Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site - Philadelphia, PA…read more Boomsauce Score: BS +++ (Amazing location! now that's boomsauce!) Even mid-renovation, this place hits different. Stepping into Poe's former home is like walking through the pages of Gothic literature. The art installations and that surreal raven sculpture outside? Straight out of a dream--or a fevered poem. It's eerie, poetic, and deeply moving. Though the house is currently closed for a utilities improvement project, you can still feel the weight of history pressing through the walls. Poe lived here during one of his most prolific periods, penning classics like The Black Cat and The Tell-Tale Heart. The cellar even resembles the one described in The Black Cat, adding a deliciously creepy layer to the visit. If you're in Philly, this is a must-visit. It's not just a museum--it's a tribute to the tortured brilliance of one of America's greatest literary minds. And when renovations wrap, it'll be even more hauntingly beautiful. --- Boomsauce Scale | Rating | Meaning |---------|----------------------------------| | B | basura (trash) | | BS | basic (come on! As with many things, we were looking for a place…read morethat would have some fun stuff for our little to enjoy and eat, while also having a place to watch the FIFA match with food and drinks for us. We figured most places would be crowded since it was the Haiti vs. Brazil match which was happening in the city that night - the city was buzzing! My boyfriend suggested D & B and I was game. I made a reservation just in case - glad I did as many people ended up coming in. Now a will say there a couple things that has us making the face of the swaggy p meme: the first escalator going up working but the next one so we took the elevator the steps the rest of the way up to the restaurant; we would've the elevator, but the person passed out/laying on the ground threw our little one off a bit (hope that person is okay!)!; and when taking the elevator down when we eventually left later that night, we weren't sure if it was working since it didn't light up and didn't seem like it was moving at a point - it was fine though. Outside of those things, we had a pretty good time! Lol Food was typically bar food and good for us, though we weren't fans of the Cheesesteak egg rolls. Drinks were made well, and our little one said she enjoyed her food too. Of course, we had to head over to the games after eating and we had a blast! We initially had issues with the card at certain games, but it eventually was fine and we were able to play at every game we wanted. Because of our little one, I think we played and tried out almost every game in there. Overall, we had a good time and would consider coming back.

Something is just not right with this place. There's a broken escalator, an elevator that you're not sure either works or goes to the top, and railings that feel like someone left goo on them 12 years ago. To get to the play area, you're led through dimly-lit corridors, and half filled table areas. When you get to the games, there are a bunch that don't work and you find more not working only after you redeem credits to play. And then you have to wrestle with yourself to say, "Should I find someone and tell them about it or maybe it's just not worth it." The place is just ripe with the smell of failure and it looks like they're riding things out before either selling or closing up shop. Oh, and the men's bathroom was a steam bath with water surrounding some of the toilets. Well... that was fun!
