They are always pleasant to me. I have used them for 3 loans now. They give me fair prices loans. One must remember you're probably going to get 1/3 of the value(if the item is in like new condition) of something because they have to make their money back and that's by being about to sell to item for more than they loaned to you or paid you. I came in Sunday morning for Mother's Day not too long ago, I was checking out some rings for me and my finance... and when I was asking about prices they let me know that there was a up too 50% discount on the rings which was great! Me and my finance both found some rings that qualified for the 50% discount which was even better and when they let us know the total for both the rings my finance who is a disabled veteran asked if they offered a military discount the lady helping us said she needed to ask her boss... he then shouts across the store " you're already getting a 50% discount" granted yes we are, we're looking for the best deal and it never hurts to ask since my finance did serve his time in the military. They are very well informed on the most up to date items so they won't sell you something that isn't in excellent working conditions. I've sold some items in the past and bought from this location. I visited does pawn shop last night at about 7:15 p.m. I showed up with a smart TV which did not have the remote. I also had an Xbox 360 I wanted to pawn. I am a single mother with a six-year-old and was in a bind. I was only trying to get 20 2 $40 to get us through the next few days. They watched me carry it all in and then proclaimed they are not taking smart TVs or Xboxes at this time. The gentleman helped me carry the television out and then they went inside and were laughing. They then locked the doors and started closing. I am completely disgusted please don't shop here. read more

I saw Store #2 (Brianna) Craigslist ad for a pictured YELLOW GOLD Christmas Tree Charm and asked her to hold it for my son to pick up for me. NO where in the ad did it say the color but when my son brought it to me it was 925 SILVER. The manager, Daniel, told me yes it DOES appear yellow in BOTH photos but your son shouldn't have bought it as no where in the ad does it state what color/type gold it was so I was out of luck. I then contacted the Slaughter Ln. Store and spoke to Denise who told me she contacted the upper management and he said I was out of luck because it wasn't their fault that my son bought it and that I couldn't rely on photos due to lighting issues! Yet, I have the photo and ALL admitted it is clearly portrayed as Yellow Gold. And still they'd do nothing about it. A poor way to run a business -- but lesson learned; I'll never return! They'd rather a poor review than to have a satisfied customer; I would have welcomed store credit or partial refund but I got absolutely nothing. I should be able to rely on the photo for an accurate photo. I understand lighting issues but this one is clearly YELLOW GOLD. Oh well....lesson learned. I did read yelp reviews before my purchase but decided NOT to heed their advice.....you'd do well to heed MY advice and avoid Top Cash Pawn. read more

Walked into Top Cash Pawn a few weeks ago and was immediately greeted by the sales staff and directed to the loan counter. I needed a quick loan on my Macbook to help out one of my friends, and I was helped quickly and given top dollar for my computer. The one month free interest is really helpful as well. This place has the worse Management/Owner I have ever dealt with. David is rude and arrogant just because he owns a business. I filed a complaint via email and explained my circumstances, and David was so rude, he over talked me and was very unprofessional. He talked about his high tech video cameras and what he owns, etc., He never acknowledged that his Manager could be wrong. He also stated that she knows me...Really? David the owners response was "I own your purses"! Wow! He never acknowledged that his Manager Denise was wrong for not following up with a return call. Everything here is overpriced,manager doesn't come down on price, I guess she doesn't believe in depreciation of merchandise value. I've been there on different occasions in the morning and there's usually someone getting yelled at in the back. I understand taking care of business but there's no reason to do it while customers are there. Feel sorry for my favourite workers from there, they're deeply under appreciated. My girl got a loan here and had been paying it everymonth. The ONE day she's late, they drop it and when we show up to see what we can do, DENISE the store manager, was extremely rude and confrontational. She wanted us to leave the store after I had told her we just wanted to pay for our item. She was trying to give us the run around with her calling her supervisor trying to figure out a price for an item that was 1 day late all while arguing on her personal cell phone. EZ Pawn has a 3 day grace period past the last due date and the customer service there is 100% Superior. I DO NOT recomend anyone take their business to top cash on w slaughter. read more

This store gave me misinformation and then profited off it. I received a short term loan using a handgun as collateral. When I was issued the loan I told the staff at the shop that I only had a passport for ID. The clerk told me that would be fine. When I returned a couple months later, the staff told me that they couldn't use my passport and that I couldn't have my gun back. When I told the manager that staff had told me the passport would work, her response was: "Yeah, but I didn't tell you that, he did." When I came back a couple weeks later with a state ID to get my gun the manager charged me interest for every day after they denied my passport despite them admitting it was their mistake. The manager said she wouldn't adjust the price and had no apology either. My issue seems specific but this store is simply not accountable for what they tell you. There's no need to deal with these people. There is another Top Cash Pawn a few streets over at Congress and 1st. Go there instead. read more
