She was warm, helpful, and never once tried to push me toward anything. I told her I wanted to come in Friday and asked if they could hold the car. She said yes, no deposit required. That alone told me a lot about how these people operate. When I got there, the boss was around too -- relaxed, straightforward, no pressure. The young guy who took me on the test drive was great -- you can tell he genuinely loves what he does. That kind of enthusiasm is rare, and it made the whole experience easy. And at the front desk, I was greeted by a young lady whose name -- I promise I am not making this up -- is Jennifer Lopez. Lol. I bought a 2021 Tesla Model Y. When I got home and ran the numbers myself, I was off from their figures by three dollars. Three. No hidden fees, no surprise add-ons -- just taxes and DMV, exactly as discussed. They also buy and sell used vehicles, electric cars especially, so whether you're buying or selling it's worth giving them a call. Couldn't be happier with the experience. Would absolutely go back and would recommend them to anyone tired of the usual dealership runaround. Thank you to Jess, to the boss, to the test drive guy, and to Jennifer Lopez -- you're all great. I found Trade-in Solutions on Caredge.com and Cargurus.com originally, and based on the yelp…read morereviews and the great call I had with Jennifer from the dealership who followed up on my online inquiry about a 2023 Tesla Model Y they had in stock, I decided to book a test drive the next day (May 20th!) The listed price on their website for the VIN 7SAYGDEE2PA109095 was $29,388 as of May 19th when I looked and sent in the inquiry about the car online after-hours. Jennifer called in the morning May 20th and helped me set up the test drive same-day and was very helpful. The staff were all very nice, patient, and accommodating. They let me test drive + inspect the vehicle from head to toe. Adam led me on the test drive and let me test out everything I wanted to test out. After the test drive, one of the managers Jess sat me down in her office to talk purchase numbers - frankly I was ready to purchase the car immediately after how patient and upfront every one of their staff members had been! Sadly, that is where the pleasantries ended. Jess wrote up an out-the-door price that listed the car as $30,888. This was an increase in price overnight of $1500. I mentioned to Jess that it appears they had raised the price since I viewed it online, and that I felt a little bait and switched, but that if they would honor the original price they had listed the car for, I was still interested in purchasing it. Jess quickly hurried me out the office after going to talk to the store manager or someone, and reassured me that she would contact me regarding the pricing history of the car. She did, just 30 minutes later when I had sat down for lunch with my family. Jess insisted that I had been viewing a different VIN from a car that was now in Seattle despite the screenshots I have uploaded to this review proving the price increased unexpectedly (thankfully I still had their dealership's website open from the night before on my laptop when I got home, and I was able to download the original web page proving the price for this exact VIN was indeed originally $29,388 before I came in to test drive!) To stop the arguing and unnecessary back-and-forth, I asked her politely to confirm that the new price of $30,888 was the price they were going to stick with, and she confirmed that this was indeed the price they would stick with and that there was no changing the price. She further insisted that I was the one who was mistaken and that the car I viewed was not in their possession, and thanked me for coming in anyways and to have a nice day. While this kind of practice is not uncommon, reading the reviews on here for this dealership really did not lead me to expect this kind of bait-and-switch behavior! If Jess had simply told me they had a pricing error and the dealership wanted to sell the car for $30,888 and not $29,888, I would have accepted this and purchased the car anyways especially considering how accommodating the staff had been, but to lie to my face and try to convince me I was delusional? This goes against my moral compass and I cannot in good conscience support behavior like this. I am uploading pictures of the sales sheet and their company's website as further proof. However, I would like to say that everyone aside from Jess (Adam, Jennifer, and the kind front deskman whose name I sadly cannot remember right now) did their jobs well and were extremely helpful and patient! I may consider reporting this to the better business bureau as well, as bait-and-switch tactics such as these are exactly why dealerships get a bad rep. Make sure to take screenshots of the dealership's website of the car you are going to purchase before contacting them for a test drive or coming in person to view the car! This will save you a headache. Also make sure the VIN is clearly visible, as Jess proved that this would've been necessary to prove the original price.

This is not a traditional "walk-in, browse the lot, take a random test drive" dealership. They operate by appointment only, and their process--including pricing philosophy--is explained clearly on their website. I took the time to read it beforehand, and everything that happened aligned exactly with what they describe. Their vehicles are extremely aggressively priced, and they are also very transparent about condition. Darya was incredibly responsive from the start and sent detailed photos and videos, including close-ups of cosmetic flaws and imperfections. I was flying down from Northern California, so having all of that information upfront mattered--and there were zero surprises. My flight was delayed by about two hours. Since they run by appointment, I contacted them to adjust my arrival time and they were very accommodating. When I arrived, the GX470 was pulled out and ready, and both Mike and Darya took the time to answer every question I had, didn't rush anything, and were honestly funny as hell. On top of that, they have some genuinely amazing stories, which made the experience feel personal instead of transactional. They also have one of the most impressive collections of vehicles I've seen in one place. The purchase process itself was straightforward and smooth. From what I can tell, many of the negative reviews stem from people who either didn't read how this business operates, didn't like that model, or expected a conventional dealership experience. That's not what this place is--and they're very clear about it. I'm extremely happy with the vehicle and would absolutely buy from them again.

It was much more relaxed than any other car dealership I've encountered. Darya and the rest of the crew were knowledgeable, helpful, and overall friendly. They do have an awesome selection of vehicles, mostly top tier ones. I would definitely keep checking their website inventory to appreciate the selection and hopefully do business with them again someday. I had just walked out of one dealership days before because they reminded me of how horrible typical dealership formats are, making you wait for hours with the other crowd in queue. MDK's appointment only format makes for a comfortable, more personal experience. Highly recommended!

I really appreciate their smooth, no haggle sales process. You get a quote online, you bring the car in (title in hand), and in a few hours, you walk out with your check and they even take care of notifying the DMV for you. Michael was a champ for the most recent transaction. But what really matters is what they do even when it's not transaction related. Turns out, I left my AirPods at the store from a few days ago. But sure enough, they saved it in their lost and found (i mean, TBH, how often does that happen?) Jay even helped write my name on the envelope so I could seamlessly retrieve it when I returned to the store. Thank you, Carmax!

Safety Concerns, Dishonesty & Total Lack of Communication…read more Stars: (1/5) I am beyond disappointed with my experience at CarMax Burbank. I paid extra to have a Porsche 718 shipped from Colorado, expecting a "premium" vehicle that had passed their 125+ point inspection. Instead, I was sold a car with cheap after market brakes, bad rotors, and bad bearings. When I brought the car back because of a loud noise every time I braked, the service department made me feel like I was crazy. They confirmed they heard the noise, but because the brakes "hadn't failed yet," they refused to fix them. The Red Flags & Dishonesty: Hidden Repairs: Their official inspection report only listed an oil change. However, a representative eventually admitted to me that the brakes had been changed with cheap, non-Porsche certified aftermarket parts. * Mechanical Damage: My personal mechanic inspected the car and confirmed these low-quality parts were likely the reason the rotors and bearings were now making noise and failing to function properly. Using "budget" parts on a Porsche not only compromises safety but immediately devalues the vehicle. Safety Risk: My mechanic told me the car needed immediate repairs to be safe. CarMax's standard for "passing inspection" clearly does not meet the manufacturer's safety standards for a high-performance vehicle. The Total Lack of Organization: Lost Car: I dropped the car off on Thursday. By Saturday, no one knew where it was, even though it had been in their possession for two days. Incompetent Communication: After spending 1.5 hours waiting to sign the return paperwork, someone called me on Monday asking me to "pick up the car." No one talks to each other; I had to repeat the same frustrating story to five different people. Rude Service: Aside from Sophia, who was the only pleasant person we dealt with, the staff was dismissive and rude when we raised legitimate safety concerns. I wasted money on shipping and hours of my time. If you are looking for a high-end vehicle, do not trust their "inspections." They are willing to use cheap parts and hide it from the buyer. This was a complete waste of time and money.

My husband took the day off work and drove 5 hours from the Bay Area with the title, determined to get it sold and removed the same day. We called every "cash for cars" place in Santa Barbara and surrounding area. Most promised same-day pickup... but each time we'd find out it would be days to actually schedule a truck. Hours were ticking by, and we were concerned, needing to take care of this before the storage yard closed. I called Carstub and got Sergio. He saved the day. Within the hour, he found someone who wanted the car for parts, negotiated a fair price for us, and got a flatbed driver dispatched that same afternoon. The truck showed up exactly when he said it would, paid us cash on the spot, and took the car away, Sergio turned a day that felt hopeless into a huge relief. He didn't have to go this far above and beyond, but he did. If you're stuck with a damaged or totaled car and need it gone FAST, call Carstub, Sergio was great. Thank you again. You saved us a mountain of stress.

Unfortunately, what should have been a simple and routine process turned into weeks of frustration and poor customer service. Instead of the registration and tags being mailed directly to my parents, they were sent to the dealership without explanation. When my mom followed up, she was told the dealership had received the tags from the DMV and would mail them to her. When the registration paperwork finally arrived, the license tag had clearly been ripped off and was missing. We contacted Dave multiple times regarding the missing tag. Each time, we were told a replacement would be sent out "the following week." This happened repeatedly over several weeks. When we went in person to request a replacement, we asked that the dealership cover the replacement fees since this situation was entirely their fault. Dave declined and again promised to send replacement tags instead. It has now been two more weeks, and there has been no replacement, no follow-up, and no response to our calls or texts. We were told on at least three separate occasions that the replacement had been mailed, yet nothing has ever arrived. If it was truly mailed, why was it necessary to "send it again" multiple times? My parents paid for this service and do not deserve to be ignored after the dealership already benefited from their business. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable. At this point, we are pursuing further action, as this situation should have been resolved the first time. I would strongly caution others to be very careful when dealing with this dealership, especially when it comes to registration and DMV-related matters.

8/2024 - Long overdue post!…read more My hubby was in the market for a truck. Saw a vehicle listed on Offerup, a 2010 Honda Ridgeline. Contacted them through offerup and made the drive on a weekend. Came and was greeted. The battery needed to be charged and then we were off on a test drive. Did a thorough review of the vehicle and mentioned some items that would need to be replaced/changed and was able to get it down to a price that we felt was reasonable to pay. I get now this place has a bunch of 1-star reviews about maintenance of vehicles and alot is wear and tear (window actuators going out, tires needing replaced, oil needing changed etc.) When buying a USED vehicle, those should be things you consider before paying - ask questions. Our experience was great in dealing with this company both Google reviews and offerup at the time had great reviews. So take the bad reviews and keep them in mind but also ask your own questions. We also paid for the extended warranty! We did use it once and had a deductible, not sure if the extended warranty was worth it - the truck is still covered today but the amount of deductible & part that was changed was waaaay lower than what was paid for the extended warranty - it does give my hubby peace of mind though to have it in case a major repair was needed. Also...The offerup price was honored. My husband still loves his truck and is thankful for getting it! So thanks guys!
