Last summer my hosta garden is just about completely gone. I reached out to Mangold to let them know that I had seen two employees spraying in my garden and another pulling up my perennials. They have taken no responsibility and refused to return my phone calls or emails. I also had a hosta garden in my backyard from 2009 and when they put rock down in my neighbors backyard they took all of my 14 year old hostas. They did not replace these, nor give me an explanation as to why they just took them. I am devastated at what my beautiful garden looks like now. Not to mention the amount of money I spent on these gardens on a limited income. It just depresses me every time I look out at my garden in which I spent years creating and money to see this devastation.

They have used a leaf blower to blow her leaves into my yard. I would understand if they were only doing it to make them easier to pick up away from her fence, but they never came and cleaned them up. I had finished picking up leaves right before they came so there was a clear line and I saw them doing it as I was leaving. They also over spray the chemicals they add to her yard into my yard. If they are your service, I'm sure you think they are fine. They work too fast and do not care about damage done to surrounding properties so you might have issues with your neighbors if you use them.

When I came back out to my car, their trucks had moved and essentially blocked me in due to the proximity of the car in front of me. I wasn't in a rush to leave, so I tried to be respectful and let everyone complete their job as quickly as possible. That being said, by the time the workers left, my car was covered in dirt, leaf clippings, and debris. I was extremely disappointed to see how they would leave neighboring property. I immediately took my car to the wash but that was not enough. The debris seems to have been driven into every crevice and weather strip due to the leaf blowers and mowers. As a result, every time I washed my car, that debris got wet and runs down the side leaving a stain. Additionally, this happened any time the car was left outside in the sun and any snow or ice on it started to melt. I tried removing the material by hand multiple times with various tools. While it helped a little, it did not resolve the problem. It took 10+ washes for the problem to finally stop. I tried reaching out to Seasonal Chores via email multiple times with an explanation of what happened and these photos. It has been a month since I sent the emails, they never took the time to respond.

I watched them and their driver rammed his truck/plow at an angle to the end of my driveway with such speed that the end of the PLOW BLADE broke the cement on the curb at the end of our driveway. I asked Seasonal Chores to turn it in to their insurance company and repair it. At first they did not call me back. Then they said they would not pay for it. They said they would not do anything about it. I cancelled their contract. I do not believe they were in good faith. If you use this company, you should get a copy of their insurance policy (assuming they have one) and ask them if they will pay for damage to your driveway if they cause it. After over 5 years of lawn care from them, I thought their snowplowing service would be responsible when they damaged my property. I could easily have sued them, but I would rather just be done with them. Lesson Learned the hard way.

Their price was good- 7 zones with good coverage with some pines in the back yard to work around. They came at 7 am and finished 4 hours later. I have been very satisfied with their service. They were quick to come and fix a soggy area around a sprinkler head the second year - no charge. Otherwise maintenance free operation. I'm a hands-on do it yourselfer and use YouTube so I know how to adjust flow and travel on my heads. You should learn how to operate the controller when adjustment is needed. When our street was redone 2 yrs ago the backhoe cut the line along the curb. I guess I could have paid Formaneck to fix it but instead I called Formaneck and asked if I could get a 8 ft piece of irrigation line. Couple days later they left a 10 ft piece (no chrg). A trip to Menards and I easily fixed it myself. I open the system myself every Spring - easy job, but I don't have a big enough compressor for winterization. So they come to do mine and our next door neighbor's too. They used Formaneck to install their system a year after me.
