We went on a plan with Canadian Natural dog food , Buy 10 bags get 1 free , We have been on this program for years with our two pure breeds . We never had a problem before . We went to collect our free bag and the manager refuse to honor the plan and offered only a discount . She said we were buying a cheaper menu , thats was not true , we have never bought the cheaper menu .Top Crop is becoming bottom drawer pet food store . *PROFILING ALERT* me and my sister were in the store today and very excited to check it out. Not only do we love garden and pet centres, but we were also looking for a present for my mom. Apparently shopping in this store is consider "odd behaviour" as we were approached aggressively by some agro white male who accused us of shoplifting after we had just spent over $400 in the store. My sister had even corrected the cashier at the till when she forgot to add an item to her bill. I just don't understand how these people are still in business. I've never been accused of anything of the sort in my life and it was very upsetting that men in 2022 feel like they can still approach women like that. After just 4 pets closed I was told this store could special order in my dog food. I was told it would take 2 weeks tops to get in an order. Even with 5 people behind the counter it still took over 30 mins to get someone to actually find what I was looking for in their suppliers catalogs. I placed an order over a month ago so as not to have any shortages in my dogs' feedings. I have yet to receive my order. I go through a minimum of 2x 22 lb bags a month at a cost of $200. I have called to inquire of my order twice and both times was given poor excuses for the delay. First call was blamed on new staff and the second call on shortages from the food manufacturer. I would like to support local business but can no longer afford to at the cost of my dogs well being. I would believe that any local business would like customer retention and would provide service accordingly. I have since ordered the same food from another retailer online and have had my order shipped within 2 days of placing it. Top crop's customer service is sorely lacking. read more

Great place with a huge variety of plants, house plants, decor, pet stuff, anything and everything you can imagine. Also love how the owners are always available to offer advice or assistance and am so impressed with how much they do for the community and rescues. Well done Top Crop! read more

This establishment is overall really well done, the staff is always friendly and will to help. however, as a recent past worker, the owner is an absolute b*tch. She was rude to the new staff and had a small group of her favourites that she was only nice to. I am a pretty social person and know lots of people within the community, so when people I knew would come into the store I would have a quick chat and help them find what the needed, but this was unacceptable to the owners standards. She (the owner) would get mad at me In front of the costumer and tell me that I needed to get to work and that talking to the costumers was ridiculous (plus this happened on many occasions), I even had a costumer defend me and she was still unwilling to acknowledge the fact that I was indeed doing my job correctly and efficiently. I would not recommend working here unless you're a fan of being verbally abused or willing to be involved in petty work place politics. The work place atmosphere is toxic and now gives me anxiety entering the building even as a costumer. If I could rate this zero stars I would. 0/5! read more
