    Tuna sandwich with fries
    Carol K.

Ok- can I say I LOVE this place? The sandwiches are always packed with meat and good for a couple of meals, the salads are crisp and fresh, and the service is provided by people who clearly love what they are doing. On my most recent visit, Tais was our server and she was great. She had a big party of city workers at the table next to us but she didn't miss a beat. The decor is upscale deli so sit at a table or grab a seat at the counter if it's really busy. I had a giant tuna sandwich, and some clam chowder and my friend had the Mockingbird salad with shrimp. And if that wasn't enough food we shared a Brookie for dessert which is half brownie nad half cookie! Be still my dessert loving taste buds! What I always forget is that they have a bar so if you want your favorite drink you can add that to your meal as well. One of my favs in Fort Lauderdale!

Turkey corn chowder was the soup of the day. It was very good.

I joined two friends at Top Hat for a Friday lunch. We love Foxy Brown so we thought we'd try another Be Nice restaurant. Currently, parking is messy at Top Hat. Two construction projects exist on each side of the restaurant. Our server was Tais and she was perfectly attentive and helpful. She is an asset to the restaurant. Surprisingly we each ordered the pastrami cheeseburger. The combination of tasty deli meat ground up with beef sounded good to me. Unfortunately we all found the burgers to be very dry. Even the wet coleslaw topping wasn't enough to moisten the dish. Tais rescued the day by bringing strips of delicious pastrami for us to add to the burger. It helped a little. We don't recommend ordering this burger. The sides were very good and generous. My potato salad had slices of fingerling potatoes with a nice sauce. The homemade chips were very crunchy. The sliced pickles were delicious like they should be at a deli. The place is very loud if you are noise sensitive. The wooden chairs screech on the floor when moved. This adds to the loudness. As we closed out, Tais offered to refill our drinks with to go cups. That was a nice gesture!

Absolutely Amazing! You can tell the manager of this place really cares about both the food quality, and the customer service. We were assigned a server at our table, but had our drinks refilled by numerous employees in the restaurant. The food came out of the kitchen fast and everything I've had has been amazing! The tuna salad sandwich and The Rachel. Both meals were massive and tasted fantastic.

TOP HAT DELI #1... Today I was super enthusiastic to try the reuben and their famous matzo ball soup for the first time. Located in east Fort Laud, so on my drive there, I endured a pain in my gut concerned about parking as most places in the immediate area. A sigh of relief upon arriving at the deli entering a massive FREE gravel parking lot with a clearly posted sign indicating "Top Hat Deli Guests Only". So far I'm very pleased. Noticed the deep dining area of the eatery with a display of oversized cakes and enormous cookies with one taking on the bizarre moniker "Chunky Monkey" which delightfully contained chocolate chips and cream cheese. Ordered two quarts of matzo ball soup with a warm reuben sandwich that came with two mini golden crusted potato latkas and a kosher pickle slice. The bathroom was spotless and adored the comical multi gendered, alien and "whatever" placard affixed to the door. The deli decor continued into the bathroom with a big picure of a shocked pickle ogling a huge deli sandwich. The soap gel dispensors were also well appreciated. Transported the food to my families house and enjoyed a wonderful feast split with the wife. My mother-in-law raved about the matzo ball soup, but I added salt. I will order two sandwiches next visit. FYI, careful with the sharp edges of the bread when taking a bite. Too Jay's is out and Top Hat Deli is now in!

Found this deli in Fort Lauderdale near Las Olas. The matzo ball soup is excellent with large plump balls and not skimpy on the noodles. The cole slaw on the Reuben was wonderful and the sandwich filled me up. The prices are steep but well worth it. Lots of free parking next to the business and pleasant employees. Loved this deli.

I truly don't know how I never wrote a review for Top Hat until now. This is my favorite diner in FTL by far and I take everyone who visits! It can get busy on weekends but I have only waited maybe 15-20 min max for a table and the service is always quick once seated. All the waiters/waitresses are super friendly too and you can't go wrong with anything you order on the menu. Everything is tasty, though my personal fave is the pizza bagel. The restaurant is also spacious and can accommodate bigger groups.

Just a few options for that sweet tooth.

It had been a while since I've been to Top Hat deli. I used to frequent there when I worked closer. Decided to check it out today for a late lunch. So happy we did! Our waitress Gina was incredible!!!she really too the time to educate us on the menu and made some awesome recommendations. She even gave us a sample of the tastiest chili. She was super enthused to share her favorites. I loved how excited she was for us to have our meals. I had the classic pastrami sandwich on a brioche bun with a side of refreshing cucumber salad. My partner decided to have one of the specials, which was an enormous chili omelette. The omelette was stuffed with chili and cheese over hash brown style potatoes and then topped with more delicious chili. I had a cappuccino and Bill had the salted caramel latte. We loved the chili so much we took some to go. Gina has some awesome tips on how to serve our chili at home. When we walked in the staff was celebrating a young boys birthday with a nice song and piece of dessert nd a balloon. The place was pretty busy nd the staff was friendly and happy to be working there. The restaurant looked fresh nd clean with good lighting and cool light fixtures. We already can't wait to go back!! I believe this might be part of our Sunday routine. Hopefully we will have Gina as our waitress again.

Best French toast ever!! Top it off with a sexy Mimosa ! A little loud in there but worth it.

4/15/25-Was seated immediately and it was pretty full at that time. I believe it was like 12:15 PM . Iordered the first cut in-house made pastrami on rye, came with a side, I got coleslaw hubby had the Ruben also came with a side coleslaw as well. Friend had the Turkey club, Coleslaw as well. Turkey was thick slices big sandwich.

The rugelach all possessed nice flavors, but they could've been crisper and were a little dry inside

I took my Mom down to Fort Lauderdale as my sister treated her for facials today. Afterwards, we were all hungry and looking to grab something for brunch and close by down town, we went to Top Hot Deli! Going inside, it was quite the shpatzir as older gentlemen and people were eating jewish and breakfast delights! As for brunch, we ordered 1x corn beef hash, 1x nova salmon platter, 1x side of pickles, and 1x assorted rugelach to go. Moving on with my review, the food was pretty good. I'll start off that the corn beef hash was excellent! I've had corn beef hash many places that have a can tin taste and stringy hashbrowns. However, this one had nice diced chunks of tender corn beef and additional corn beef strips on the side! Also, the eggs were nicely creamy inside. The nova platter possessed fresh cured salmon and fresh vegs; although, the bagels texture was lacking as it was missing that chew and pretty airy. The pickles were simply kosher dill flavor, but were brined well and had a great snap with each bite! The rugelach all possessed nice flavors, but they could've been crisper and were a little dry inside. Moreover, our server was super friendly and attentive which is always great! Overall, with a few tweaks, Top Hat Deli has the potential to be a star or two higher from today's visit. We still had a nice breakfast together, but would give this a rating of 3.5/5 stars.

Jackie is a gem! Truly such a kind, attentive, hospitable human. I had brunch on a busy Sunday afternoon and didn't have the best attitude after a slight error with my order. Despite my poor attitude, Jackie was even more of a star. Truly killing it with kindness. She's a shining example of their "be nice" slogan. In addition to the warm and inviting service, Top Hat offers the best breakfast and brunch. My new go to order is no doubt their house made pastrami sandwich on rye! We also love their customizable grand schlam. Unbelievable value for quality and portion. Top Hat is a must try!

    Avocado Toast
    Lauren H.

Starting off by saying you get what you pay for - portion sizes are huge and yummy. The avocado toast was spectacular and from now on I will only be topping my avo toast at home with hot honey. The ricotta absolutely made this!!! My sister is more of a simple girl as she has celiac but they accommodated her allergy and her dish was to her liking. She had been wanting to try this place for awhile and she will definitely be back. To finish, the doughssaints.... Oh my lord... melts in your mouth. So good. To die for. Will come back just for these!!

    Do they have turkey bacon?

    Yes

    Is there outdoor seating?

No. Not when I was there this summer.

How long a wait for a table on Sunday morning, between 10-11 am?

Honestly it varies. But, I have never waited more than 10-15 mins for a table for 2 or 4. Hope that helps. I'd call to make sure! They have plenty of tables and booths!

We visited the Fort Lauderdale location, which is a small, modern spot in a newer building surrounded by other shops. It's an order-at-the-counter setup, and they bring the food out to you. The person at the counter was super friendly, patient, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. We ordered the Mr. Eats 305 bagel, and wow--it did not disappoint! It came open-faced with sliced nova, plain cream cheese (not overly heavy), cucumber, hollandaise, crispy onions, scallions, and a drizzle of hot honey. The flavors were perfectly balanced and unique. They also offer homemade schmears, which is always a plus. We chose to go with the asiago bagels, which were soft, fresh, and honestly took me right back to NYC. We also had a classic bacon, egg, and cheese, and that was just as satisfying. Prices are a bit on the higher side, with bagels ranging anywhere between $14-$18, but the quality and flavors make it worth it. They do offer other menu items if bagels aren't your thing, but honestly, the bagels are the star of the show. You can also create your own. This place is totally worth the drive. Although they have three other locations.

After about 30 minutes, I started feeling a little impatient, but I stayed quiet and waited since the place was very busy and standing-room only. Eventually, I heard them call out "Brandon Brandon." My name is Brandon, and it appeared that the cashier may have accidentally entered my first name twice on the ticket. Assuming it was my order, I went up and said, "Brandon?" The employee responded, "No, it's Brandon Brandon." I calmly asked what was in the order to confirm whether it was mine. At that point, she loudly said, "Come on, dude, you would know if your name is Brandon Brandon," in a very condescending tone. The way it was said -- at the top of her lungs -- was extremely embarrassing, especially in a packed restaurant. The person speaking appeared to be the manager, which made the situation even more disappointing. After waiting 35 minutes for a simple bagel sandwich, they finally called out just "Brandon." I honestly felt hesitant to even walk up after being spoken to that way, but I did so just to get my food and leave. Everyone can have a busy morning, but there's no reason to speak to a customer like that -- especially when they're simply trying to confirm their order. Unfortunately, this first experience left a very negative impression
