From kids to adults of all ages, beginner to training for matches or competitions, they have it all. They offer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Boxing, conditioning classes and a yoga class. The owners, coaches and professors are knowledgeable and eager to share and teach. Every one is so welcoming and it's like one big family here. From time to time they also have seminars with professionals in Muay Thai, Kali; I've been to several and they were such great experiences. From training at a couple MMA gyms, I feel like I've improved my skills dramatically since being at Top Level. I credit all of it from the 2 things that keep me going here. The teachers being detailed in their explanations while continually challenging the class to keep me motivated! And the environment being extremely relaxed! Despite everyone's skill levels being different in class, all the students are pretty much willing to help each other learn in a fun atmosphere. What's unique about this gym is that they have a wide variety of classes being offered! Since most classes are back-to-back, whatever day I'm able to come in, I'm usually able to jump in 2 classes that evening. For someone who's not looking to compete in MMA, I see the huge benefit in learning these skills for self-defense and to get fit! Nice from the moment I walked in. Exactly what anyone who is looking for a real mma gym thinks of. Searched for over a month in the chicago land area for a place like this. What I like about this gym - clean & utilitarian (this is a MMA gym not a mma class attached to a gym) - they teach multiple classes at all levels, I am novice at Mui Tai but intermediate at BJJ - the students are very supportive of one another - the staff has a good time and are all very supportive of the students - they push you but dont belittle you (most martial arts places I have been to try to break you down... this isnt the military, these guys understand that) I have trained for over 9 years of my life on and off from Kung Fu to Karate and everything in-between. If you are looking to get fit, to gain some inner respect and respect for those around you, and to hold you head up high then this is the place. I signed up 6 month contract. Cons- this is my fault, but make sure if you do go to get the schedule either off the website or from them. Other than that there really aren't any, training is expensive so expect to pay to play... but I promise this place is worth it I would say best gym in Chicagoland, and I have yet to be proven wrong. read more

They have a top notch Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program that caters to beginners and an advanced class that will kick it up a notch. They also have a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class for kids too! This place is a hidden gem. There are a variety of classes at Top Level, but I committed to 2, Thai Boxing and Kali. Tony teaches Thai Boxing and Guru Nate teaches Kali. I learned Thai Boxing a long time ago and in comparison, I like how Tony explains the moves and the progression of techniques. Guru Nate was hard to understand at first and I was frustrated because the I couldn't pick up the Kali moves, but I'm glad I stuck with it, because the techniques finally started to stick after the first month. I have been at Top Level for 3 months now and I feel like have made great improvements in my understanding, technique, and execution! For the knowledge I have gained, endurance training, and a chance to learn with friends it is well worth it! You can always try the classes for yourself to see if it is right for you, Paul is great and easy to talk to! read more

The gym is a great family atmosphere. The instructors are excellent at focusing on each student during training. In addition, each student is open to helping everyone out. It's tough to find a gym where the students and the instructors are there to help everyone accelerate in their goals (i.e., losing weight, physical well-being, competitions, etc.). This gym has created a strong friendly environment for learning and raising your own standards for improvement whether you take boxing, Thai boxing, Krav Maga, Brazilian Ju Jitsu, Kombat Fitness, or Zumba! read more

Great classes great teachers. I've trained at other gyms for Krav Maga and Boxing, but Top Level is my favorite. Tony teaches Muay Thai and is a great instructor who cares about his students technique and progression. He keeps things simple to establish a great foundation and really explains thoroughly the proper technique. The class as a whole is really good as well. A team environment without any "Tap out" wanna bees. Paul and Tony stress respecting your training partner and opponent when sparring. Overall a great clean place. Best martial art place we have ever experienced! Family run and they genuinely have the kids best interest in mind with a passion for what they are teaching. They don't just "promote" for the sake of promoting. It has to be a truly earned promotion, which I love. Top Level MMA is an awesome place to only train at but learn as well from the awesome instructors and everyone around. There is no ego in this place and everyone is willing to lend a hand. Paul and Bernadette (power couple) are the owners and must admit they great people that treat you like family from day one.
