This included the most amazing hot stone massage on my aching legs. The massage was both firm and comfortable. She did a really great job. The shop is huge compared to the ones I frequent in NoVA. There's a large area for hair and plenty of nail stations. The chairs were extremely modern and the chair massages worked great. Nice to walk in with a friend for manicures and be taken right away. My manicure was "rough" when my cuticles were being pushed back and cut. I didn't see if the nail tools were sterilized - I'm used to the tech bringing out tools in a package, to show they were sterilized. Also was not asked to wash my hands. The cleaning of my cuticles felt thorough but I did not check my nails until I got home, still had cuticles "lifting" off my nail bed - I did not get any nail polish and still paid $25 plus a $1 fee for using a credit card. Usually love this salon but today not so much. technician doesn't speak English. Has no clue what I'm asking for. Really too bad. All I wanted was a simple manicure with no polish. And that was an effort. in the meantime, someone tipped her $25 on a manicure pedicure and she never even raised her head to say thank you. Really? First timer at this salon - no frills - but good basic gel mani and they are quick and take walk ins.

Fast, friendly service. My nails turned out exactly like I wanted. I had to get a full set of acrylic; it took less than 40 minutes

On vacation booked three pedicures and a gel manicure for 3:00. We sat for 30 minutes with our feet in cold water. I thought we would be there forever based on the start delay, but not so!!! The pedicures were done in under 10 minutes, once the employees finished openly arguing about who was doing whose nails! When the person getting the manicure asked to go first to save time she was instead taken last. The pedicures themselves where more like polish changes. The gel manicure was also extremely rushed, lumpy and the nails were jagged and poorly filed. This is clearly an assembly line operation with disgruntled workers who don't care about the quality of their work. I spent more time writing this review than they did on my nails!! We had a wedding party of 14, with our appointment we were serviced on time and looked beautiful. Everyone were pleasant and joked with us, making our experience the day before our wedding a memorial one. This was the worst pedicure I've ever had. The whole purpose of getting a pedicure is to relax and enjoy the experience. All they did was rub a little lotion on my feet and paint my nails. No buffing, didn't cut my nails, no scrubbing or massage. All of those services are supposed to be included on even the most basic pedicure. Like the other reviews on here, the service was very rushed. Maybe 5-7 minutes for the actual pedicure. read more

Definitely the worst in OBX if the 9-10 places I've been. I wanted a dip powder fill. Materials (top coat) that were used were old and the color discolored in about 2 days. No wrapping in acetone to get prior polish off. They give you a bowl to balance on your lap to soak the powder off with 3 cotton balls to rub the polish off, while you're having your pedicure, which takes the enjoyment out of the pedicure due to fear you'll dump the bowl on yourself. I literally pick the polish off of my nails while my pedicure was taking place-no really, you can't make this stuff up. No leg massage or scrubbing callouses or anything you might expect that might exert energy. I made an appointment in advance and they had no one else in there. It was an opportunity to give great service but it didn't happen. Won't return-can do my nails myself with as much effort as they used. read more

If you are in a hurry, go here. They will do a basic manicure in ten minutes. It takes longer to dry it than it takes the nail tech to do the manicure. And, it looks like a rush job when it is done. Do not go here! The service was very slow and when they finally got to doing our nails, they did not take their time and just kept slapping coats of polish on without correctly filing or cleaning nails. My lady had trouble getting my nails to dry under the gel light so she just kept adding more coats over and over. My nails were left bubbled with nail polish all over my skin around the nail. It's only been 2 days and the gel already is chipping! Not to mention that they charged $35 for poor quality gel nail polish and service. Today as I walked in, everyone was very polite. We had no problem with customer service but- with that said, my nails are absolutely not what I would have ever paid for. I got a full dipped set and about an hour after I noticed that the color was cracked. My friend also had a bad experience when she went with me today. Her nail tech made her bleed 5 times, gave her a square shape when she asked for a coffin shape, left the polish goopy, and also asked for black and he gave her navy. read more

Do not even waste your time!! LAZY and RUDE!! I made an appointment to get a fill/pedi with my mom before my wedding. On Thursday, we went in, had to wait for others without an appointment. Then, she claimed she couldnt do a fill, had to remove my gel, start over. Pedicure was good, but nothing can fix her awful nail skills. By Thursday night I had 2 cracked nails, went in to get them fixed, and had one chipped before the wedding. Have had gel for years, and NEVER had this happen. Not even a week later, all nails are gone. HORRIBLE service, not worth the 4 hours. Claimed she didnt take cards, cash or check only. Had to go to ATM, but then she took someone elses card. read more

Got a great pedi from Top Nails yesterday. It's conveniently located next to Harris Teeter. The man who did my pedi was incredibly gentle and thorough - my tootsies are all soft and cleaned up - not to mentioned polished. The massage chair was awesome - just what my tired back needed. They have three levels of pedi - I went for the "classic" - inexpensive ($26). Spacious, nice area for drying nails. There is also a hair salon in the same space. This place is terrible and I barely got through the front door. I stood at the front counter waiting for someone to greet me and put me on the list for about seven minutes while each individual staff member (about 6 people) looked at me as I was standing there yet not one acknowledged I was there. An elderly woman cutting hair finished with a client, took her money and started another without even saying a word to me as I was standing right beside her waiting to be helped. First off would rate them with zero stars if it was an option. Wouldn't recommend anyone letting Diana or Donna not really sure what she said her name was touch your head with a pair of scissors. Not only did she take twice the length I wanted off, she totally bypassed both the pictures I showed her and did her own thing... not what I wanted at all. When she realized I wasn't happy with my hair she proceeds to get pissed off and make smart comments to me. My four year old could have cut my hair the same way she did and if I knew that's what I was paying for I would have went the cheaper rout. This was the worst manicure/pedicure I've ever had. While vacationing in the OBX, 4 female relatives and myself went here to have our nails done. The quality and service were really lacking. The lady who did my nails (don't recall her name) was very unfriendly. She began my pedicure without even speaking to me and spoke once throughout my services. She was in such a rush! She did not do much to the bottoms of my feet and they were as rough when I left as when I came in. She did not do the arm massage with the manicure, which I thought was standard and others in my party got with their basic manicure. I also don't recall her using a top coat, which may explain why my polish chipped so quickly. I'm guessing the quality of their polish is poor too. When I paint my own nails it lasts long. I called a day ahead and asked if they could do 4 appointments at the same time for 4 pedis and 3 manis. When we got there they had us pick color and sit wth our feet soaking while they did 2 pedis and others soaked. The goal was to be together and leave on time for our dinner reservation, The woman at the front did 2 manis on walkins while we waited. A different woman finally came over and did my pedi and then rushed through my mani. I've never had a pedi mani done so quickly, top coat doesn't cover any of my nails, she just hit the middle on all. Hands chipped by next day. She was in a hurry to do pedis on her regulars who were walkins and waiting. Worst experience and they charged the same as DC prices! Most definitely not worth it. Worst manicure I've ever received. First I was told it would be a 10 min wait, it was actually 45 mins. I should have walked out then. All of her utensils were dirty. She literally carried them from the table with her last client over to me. Didn't spray them, soak them in disinfectant, nothing. My hand massage was maybe 20 seconds on each hand and don't get me started on the paint job. You could still see the majority of my nail bed and when I said something she simply coated it again with a super heavy 3rd coat. The end result was lumpy and sloppy.
