I'm not an expert on Caribbean food, but I'm going to invoke the But-I-Know-What-Tastes-Good doctrine. I like little joints like this place, but it has its weaknesses. I went for the stewed oxtail with beans and rice. I wasn't all that impressed with it. The beans and rice tasted old while the stewed oxtail meat was really hard to get off the bone. There was this bitter aftertaste with it as well. Not sure if it was homemade or not, but I did like the Jamaican beef patty to a reasonable degree. The pastry outside was warm and flaky, while the meat filling inside was hot, spicy, and savory. The restaurant is out-of-my-way, so I'm not really inclined to visit again, as there are other Caribbean places closer by. Give it a shot though, if you're around. read more

I picked my grown son up some timely, holistic pollen defense drops I saw at the counter, so he wont use that synthetic stuff again that he'd picked up himself that only knocked him out- instead of build him up! Terrible! I ordered on Uber Eats it took 45 minutes for the food to come. So I ordered yam they send banana... I'm allergic to all bananas.. I ask for a fish cake they send a patty. I gotten food here a few and it's all been great. The curry goat is one of the best I every. I have had the red snapper, ox tail and the beef patties. The has great flavors in all of the dishes that he makes and the portions are big. I can make three meals out of one order of his. I have introduced a few of my friends and they now go here. I have only tried the food twice here and so far it is fairly good. My reveiw is not neccessarily about the food though but rather about the organic products this restaurant carries. To my surprise this place carries a wide variety of healthy products such as seaweed, organic chamomile, organic mouth wash, organic iron among others, that I would otherswise have to buy from whole foods or order it online from one of those naturalistic websites. Also one thing I found extremely interesting, is that they carry alkaline water which the owner says he uses to cook his food with. Its cool that he tries to incorporate healthy ingredients into the dishes and I'm assuming thats why its so over priced as well. Anyways I like the health products so thumbs up. They have the most flavors I ever seen for wings! However, they're service suck! Somehow it takes them over an hour to toss some frozen wings and fries in a deep fryer. Every time I order on Ubereats it takes nearly an hour to say my order is ready and when I arrive there to pick it up, my order still isn't done!(20minute drive) in all honesty they're wings are good but it's definitely not worth more than a 30 minute wait. Today they really proved that they just have very care for customer service, not only did it take them over an hour to make my order but they got it wrong. Now they take another hour to fix it! After declining his sales pitch he made my plate. I was very clear I didn't want alot of rice. Just cabbage.
