This is from 6 months ago but I feel I really need to let people know about this place…read more I had an ok experience in the store, a young lady helped me out with my shopping. BUT why is it when I get to the front counter and hand the lady my cash she seemed to check each bill very thoroughly. I am a person of color and it just seems like she was being extra careful due to my race... I totally understand checking bills for counterfeit ones but if you're going to be that scrutinizing get one of those pens that tells you the money is fake. They don't cost much and it would save time. I will not be patronizing Bourbonnais Michael's anymore, I'll take my business to Hobby Lobby or better yet Amazon.

I chose a bonded leather frame for all, which with the regular sales, I saved a ton! Unfortunately, on the way with my home with the frames- one of the corners on the largest frame had torn. Amanda was quick to respond to my inquiry about getting it fixed and really worked the with me and the store policy to make sure it was done quickly and at no to little charge! I was incredibly thankful that Amanda was able to do so! I will definitely be taking any frame work to this store.

I dropped off a chain I've worn forever. It broke at the clasp and they were charging me 45.00 to…read morerepair it. They called me to pick it up this morning amd low and behold, they tried to give me the wrong chain. They lost my chain. It has sentimental value and it cant be replaced. These clowns obviously cannot be trusted with your jewelry. This is ridiculous. They gave it to the wrong person?! Unbelievable.

The staff was polite without being pushy and the displays were tasteful and included some worked up pieces. I would agree with some other reviews, it's difficult to figure out how to get inside, but I was lucky that another client was leaving and let me in. Great shop for those visiting Chicago!
