Our family has used this…read moreservice for many years and I can say excellent service, I used this service 6 month ago, for the loss of my husband and didn't have to asked for any amenities as we are a Catholic family. My son, passed away On March 3,2023 ,and we used JAY HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, . I can say that my family will NEVER use this service. There was no kneeler at the casket, no cross inside the casket., I had to request that the day of the funeral. Address these issues with Kelly Langford .who we met with at my planning of my husbands funeral, that cannot spell and wanted to put the kneeler there day of the funeral. Was told that they did everything we wanted what could they do now. Mr. Langford, pestered my grandson, during visitation for the check., and was told after visiting hours he would get it and this was not the time for this. The day of the funeral service in the funeral home were scheduled for eleven o'clock ,so we arrived at ten and the doors were locked to spend our last time with my son. I confronted Mr. Langford and a Matt Menard, if they knew about catholic services. Mr. Menard, said to me "Don't catholic go to church" which was a slap in my face and was saying that my son was not entitled . At the cemetery Mr. Menard, was going around my sons' casket slapping and pounding on it, and the spray that bought, was just thrown on the ground, as if we were dirt and not put on top of his casket. But after the priest left, they were thanking each other for helping.
