They wanted me to start immediately regardless that my 2 weeks notice was not complete. I explained that I could not leave my current job high and dry however managed to shave off a few days and start the position sooner than expected. Classic Westchester confirmed this with The Company and everyone agreed I can start the date that I proposed. I signed paper work. I told friends and family. 2 days later (less than a week before I was supposed to start) they called to tell me The Company "backed out" last minute because they found someone else on their own. Classic Westchester tried to soften the blow by explaining that they told me The Company needed me immediately and these things happen. I've never heard of such a thing and asked to never be contacted again. I will never be working with Classic Westchester again!

In my opinion, the position was considered "bottom of the barrel" as the job description was not well written and the position had been vacant for quite some time. I understand that staffing agencies are busy and their staff process a high volume of calls and emails each day. Job applicants have a choice when selecting a agency to partner with. Failing to return emails or voicemails conveys the message that the agent is too busy to contact you or that you are a low level priority on their list.
