This place was referred to me by a lady at the gym, so I scheduled and made the hour drive. My stylist was Mary a woman from Iran I believe. But bad impressions. I was on time and they made me wait. Hair was everywhere when I came in. I took a picture. Then my hour was split between another person that was probably getting their hair dyed. Why am I paying top dollar to have my hour appointment split with another person? The cut was also subpar. Some uneven strands in the back. I thought I'd just leave it be and not come back. She will recommend products at different price points but encourages you to bring your own makeup. She will show you how to apply different aspects of makeup and then has you practice so that she can give you hands on instruction. While the staff was incredibly friendly and I liked the process, now that I've seen the color in different lighting, it's not what I was hoping for. I was aiming for a honey blonde as shown in my reference photos, but the result is more of a caramel tone and I don't like it Also, I wanted to mention that the hair brushing and washing were a bit roughmy leg was actually twitching from the discomfort. When I finished she told me what she wanted to do and I agreed completely. She was amazing with the razor cut and finished with shears. Kate also taught me how to do what she did. I am very disappointed in the cut done by Mona. I asked for a trim to remove dry/split ends. I got an "upsale" for a moisture treatment that I looked up afterwards which is targeted at color treated hair (which I don't have and I don't use heat to style my hair). My split ends are still there which explains why she spent so few minutes snipping. I had 2 people recommend this salon, so warning - don't trust the salon to vet the stylist. read more

I came here for a full balayage and expected to have more of an ombré with a lighter/warmer caramel color added to my dark brown/black hair (I had a picture of what I wanted and showed it to my stylist). Mary did ok with my hair and used the 'teasing method' giving me more of a natural look with soft brown streaks instead. I gave this place three stars because (1) I expected to pay what was listed on the website but ended up having to spend more and (2) Mary was pretty rough with my hair especially when she was brushing out the tease. I guess I went with a lot of expectations after reading the reviews. The place as such is good and they did a good job washing and cutting my hair. My only thing is I asked for a particular style and showed a pic so that there wouldn't be any confusion, but my haircut didn't look anything like it. Well, they did nothing to try to fix it. The owner doesn't seem to care. she says I can come in and get my haircut again. There is no way they cut all my hair on my right side of my head with a razor and they left my little left side with all my pretty curls . I look lopsided. Don't go here if you want to keep your hair in good condition. They don't care they just want the money. I should go in and let them see exactly what Mary did to my hair. I am heartbroken. Giving 2 stats because all the staff was super nice. Special shout-out to the shampoo assistant who was the sweetest. I unfortunately cannot give more stars for the actual work done on my hair. They reached out to me via text to request pictures of what I wanted. I sent back 2 photos of a previous balayage I had done a few years ago and told them I wanted a full balayage with cool toned blonde and long layers. I reconfirmed this with the stylist when I got there. What I got was a partial highlight (was still charged for the full balayage) that was basically yellow and a chop haircut. I could tell something was wrong because she came to check my color at the shampoo station and immediately did a toner. Like I said before, everyone there was super nice but I unfortunately will not be returning to this salon. read more
