I believe that Icon Realty was involved in hacking my bank account. I leased an apartment in the heart of las olas/Fort Lauderdale from December 2016, from Atlantic loft llc. I agreed to pay a 2 month security deposit of $2400 as well as first, last and security (pretty standard) got my key, etcétera. After 2 different companies handling our property, ICON Realty came in January 2020 and revamped property by implementing a ***online payment service ***** aka , a way to get into your bank account. I questioned who this is and why I had to use this system to pay, not only to be replied with "It is our new system and you have to use it, you must pay rent this way or consult your attorney" As I went ahead and used it but decided to not renew my upcoming ending lease of 3/30/20. I emailed, texted and explain that I would not be renewing the lease because not only I don't trust the payment system, I had a very difficult time communicating with Benjamin (who by the way runs the whole thing). He ignored all my calls and the ones he replied, he did very rudely. I promptly moved out on schedule and handed him the keys along with my original lease agreement. He took the keys and said that He did not have a refund and I would need to wait 30 days to receive one on the mail. Now 30 days later. My bank account has been HACKED and bank investigated the multiple charges leading back to that January rent payment. I have been getting random withdrawals from different wiring entities totaling over 1k so far. Due to covid19, I can not yet file a claim in court. And the reason I am writing this is to WARN tenants and landlords about companies like this! I am attaching the refund check I just received. What a joke! See you in court.

After 2 in a half weeks I called almost EVERYDAY inquiring on my application status and i was told every time my application status is still pending because they were remodeling the apartments and sending renewal letters to tenants. I was a bit annoyed because because sending renewal letters was more important!? 2-3 weeks turned in a waiting time frame of MORE than 1 month. I then called again the second week of July to inquiring on my applications status. I was told by a woman that the application is still pending but she would contact corporate and find out whats taking so long and she will call me back at the end of the week. NO CALL BACK RECEIVED. I than called the following week and was told i was approved. I was never contacted by Golfside Villas to be informed of my approval i had to call in. As of today August 17,2016, i have not received a follow up call from Golfside Villa explaining any changes or updates since the last time I CALLED BACK IN EARLY JULY. I decided to call today and inquiry on the application and any updates. I than was told that the waiting list is now 2 years!!! Back in June when i applied i was told 6 months to one year with a possibility to be earlier. (thank God i have been look around and applying other places) I understand these type of things are unpredictable however COMMUNICATION would have been great. The agents seemed very irritated and frustrated because of my constant calling . When i spoke with Milly on the information of a 2 year wait provide to me she than stated 'i told you it vary's and everyone renewed" i stated to her 1 year wait and a 2 year wait is a dramatic change a call or an email with this update would have been great considering i have been calling EVERYDAY and you know me by name. I than express to cancel my application and to have the $200.00 refunded. During this time she was talking over me and cutting me off with what i was trying to express. Milly than advised me i will need to write a letter send it to goldsidevillasmgr@relatedgroup.com stating i would like to cancel the application as well as a including a forwarding address for the check to be sent to. I advise her i will get it sent today and requested to have it process TODAY she responded back stated she will not do it today because she is busy and it will take up to 8 weeks! THIS IS ABSOLUTE UNACCEPTABLE!!!! i waited and waited and waited and now i have to WAIT AGAIN to received my money back. i advise Milly it NEEDS to process today absolutely no later. i send the information required VIA email to the address provided around 10 am today (8/17/16). I specifically stated in the email sent" Please respond back to this email advising you have received this email as well as informing me all the necessary steps has been completed to process my application cancellation. I will await your response." it is 2.56 pm 8/17/16 I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL. i called AGAINNN and Milly answers advising me she received my email however the letter needs to be handwritten and signed and scanned because anyone can send an email.. So i guess she missed the part where i asked her to confirm the email received, nor did she response back explaining the letter needs to be handwritten and scan (which by the way makes no damn sense) i assume not just anyone can write a letter and forge a signature as well. I am sorry i couldn't rate the apartment 0 stars. This is such an inconvenience!!! who knows when i will received my money back because clearly its not of any importance to Golfside Villas. I REGRET doing the application i will let everyone know how Golfside is quick to take a person of interest money and than toss the application. I WILL NOT STOP UNTIL I RECEIVED ALL OF MY MONEY BACK EVERY LAST PENNY.. I WILL GO TO EVERY REVIEW SITE AND LET EVERYONE KNOW. HOW HORRIBLE THIS APARTMENT IS. NOT A PLACE WHERE I WOULD WANT MY FAMILY TO LIVE.
