My husband, son and I love this place. The atmosphere is energetic and it's a great place to bring the whole family or just to have a fun date night. The food we ordered was delicious and filled us up. We are a very competitive family, so it was fun to see who could get the better score...the game ended with my son & husband and competing to see who could hit the ball the farthest.. This place is a lot of fun. I went with my wife and son for an afternoon of fun. My wife has never played and my son and I haven't played in quite some time. With the options in targets and games, it seems pretty easy to find games were everyone can compete. The equipment is okay but sure isn't your top of the line Titleist, Callaway or Ping. They have both men's and women's clubs. We are all right handed but assume that lefties are also available. We ordered several dishes that were pretty good for the venue. Our server was outstanding. Went here for a team building event at work... We spent most of our time waiting in line to get the $5 membership card. Once we all had memberships, someone greeted us and took us to an open bay on the first floor. (I would have preferred the upper levels) Once we got to the bay someone explained all the rules and regulations before we started playing. You play by the hour so we decided to hit 2x before changing players. Our waitress was friendly and efficient, even helped us with recommendations on what to order and what to stay away from. After taking our drink and food orders, she was always around when anyone need another drink or refill. Food came out hot and quick, portions was on the larger size. Not one person was disappointed with what they ordered, kids meals were better than most places. The atmosphere and ambiance is fun and trendy. First visit to Topgolf in Jacksonville (second Topgolf visit ever). It was Thanksgiving weekend and quite busy. I had to get my card printed since my membership in Tampa was never actually started with a hard card. While I was getting my card done, the rest of the group went to the line to get a bay but they wouldn't confirm one for us until we had everyone there. That meant ME... so although I was there, on the other side of the sign in/lobby (whatever it's called) area, they wouldn't assign us spot. Finally, once I was done (this did take few minutes), they were able to get us a bay right away. Initially gave us one on the first level, but we preferred to get in one on the 2nd or 3rd level. They were able to accommodate and got us one on the 2nd level. We were all the way at the end but it it was just fine. Our server guy (wish I remembered his name, Matt?) was very nice, talkative, helpful and attentive. Our group didn't eat or drink much - I had already eaten breakfast just before we got there... Someone ordered a guac n chips and we also got a free refill on it....for the salsa part. That was really nice. We played for 2 hours, the first hour was $25 (before NOON) and the 2nd hour was $35 (starting at NOON). We played 5 balls each before switching to the next person. With 5 of us, it was easy to hit a few and rest. I suck at this but everyone else I went with did fantastic! It was lots of fun and although it isn't my best sport, I would join a group here and there and hit a few balls. What's really nice is they serve decent food and a wide variety of options. They have heaters above over each bay and seating area which is nice for when it's chilly. I wonder how long this concept will last, however.... you hit balls into targets. I guess if you're an avid golfer it's a cool thing to do often, otherwise, it's something to do once in a blue moon. read more

With my father-in-law in town I knew I had to show him and the rest if the family a good time. Topgolf came to the rescue! I was a little hesitant to come on a Sunday, thinking it would be slammed, but it wasn't that bad. they have different prices depending on the time you come. From open to noon it costs $25 an hour. From noon to 5pm it costs $35 an hour. From 5pm to close it costs $45 an hour. Definitely not the cheapest activity, but a nice treat. Every person who is going to play needs to purchase a membership card. More on this later. The card then has money added to it to play. Just the men were playing so my girlfriend and mother-in-law just came to watch. After you get a card or if you already have one you have to get in a different line to get taken to a lane. At the lane you have options for different types of Topgolf games you can play. A waitress or waiter than comes by and gets your drink and food options. I would say the prices are akin to a restaurant like TGIF or Ruby Tuesdays. Not that expensive, but not cheap. Alcohol was a bit pricier than it should have been. We ordered some nachos and some sandwiches and booze and the food was tasty. They have some good sauces for their sandwiches. Regardless of cost the experience was pretty fun. Most of the time the sensors in the golf balls worked perfectly. A couple of times I scored it didn't work. We were however, playing for fun, so we didn't make a big deal about it. When time was up we simply left, but we left our membership cards with no money in our lane. I remembered about an hour later and called to check if I could come grab them. I thought it would be nice to get that for my father-in-law. The woman who answered was not particularly nice and seemed rushed. She said they were thrown away and that I could buy new ones again when I came back. Something about that exchange for what should have been a simple phone call rubbed me the wrong way. Even though her attitude wasn't the best, the experience was a positive one and I would consider coming back more often with friends or holding events here. read more

Seeing it rated only a 3 1/2 stars behooves me. We visited today(Sunday) at about 9:30am to 10:30am. My Hub and I played 2 " Top Golf" games for $25 an hour. We had so much fun! I was impressed when a server came with 2 tall glasses of water promptly without being asked. We didn't eat. I had 2 delicious bloody marys. I read previous posts that said great things, but complained about the Florida heat as if the place could so something about it! There were fans, and yes it got a little muggy...... we had a great time. I guess fun is with the company you keep. From the door, concierge, place you get the card, bay server, and bartenders at the big bar at the entrance it was non stop above and beyond service. An update On Oct. 9 we had a party at Top Golf for 30 people. Just the restaurant part. Granted it was on a Sunday at 11:45AM till about 5PM. We ordered apps. For the group and individuals had their own separate orders. It's first come first serve, no reservation is able to be made. I will say they did a phenomenal job! I highly recommend! This place is AWESOME!!! We came here yesterday to celebrate Erikka N's Born Day!! While we waited for a golfing section to open we had lunch. I had a Topgolf long island , a fried chicken sandwich with fries and Bacon N' Mac cheese spring rolls. The meal was really tasty and full of flavor. After 2.5 hours of waiting Shaun N went to management and we were instantly rewarded for our patience. A manager quickly made a golfing section available for us , threw in some complimentary doughnut holes and paid for our first 30 mins of playing time. Told me I couldn't have my table for my drinks I still had and was still drinking. Instead made me and my family stand in the walk way to finish our drinks while someone else had our table. We came last night for a lovely work event. The place is so clean. I commend the architect because the set up is perfect for any group! We had an entire level to ourselves and the staff was so nice and quick. I love the concept of the golf and the corresponding targets! (I got 8 points in one hit!) it was so much fun!!! Went here on a Saturday around brunch time and boy was it busy. The lobby area was super crowded with people waiting for bays. It was our first visit there so our party of 4 had to wait in line to get membership cards, which took about 15 minutes and they were $5 each. They wouldn't let us reserve a bay without a membership card so we had to wait an additional 45 minutes to be seated. The hostess brought us to our bay on the second floor and set our game up. It was $35 an hour and we decided to stay for 2 hours so we can enjoy some food and drinks as well. I know it was busy but the service was ridiculous! We ordered the pulled pork sliders, brisket grilled cheese, chicken and waffles, a flatbread and the injectable donut holes along with waters and a few drinks. It took 20 minutes just to bring us waters and another 45 minutes for the food and drinks. And you could forget about refills because they will never come! The food was good for the most part(typical bar food) but some of the tater tots were still frozen and the grilled cheese was a bit burnt. No one in our party really golf but we all enjoyed ourselves. The concept of the game is really neat! Everyone should try this at least once if you have the extra time and money to spare. Who would have thought the best place to dance would be at Top Golf? They have giant Jenga, giant beer pong, foosball, cornhole, a photo booth, a decent DJ, and plenty of lounge areas for late night entertainment aside from hitting balls. I mean, if you are going to GOLF, it's pretty cool for that, too. Like a bowling alley, you can have up to six players per bay (up to 10 people hanging out). You have to get a membership card for a little over $5 and continue to use it when you return. When you head to the bay, you can split the charge per person. It's easy to pay hourly, and they keep coming back for drink orders. Remember the black clubs are male, blue are female. After a few drinks, I found out the hard way. Food is mediocre (get chips and queso-that was my fave) and kinda pricey, specialty drinks aren't really worth to $$$ in my opinion, but keep the beer coming and I'm there all night playing games and dancing! read more

Upon arrival to my bay I was greeted by my amazing waitress Allyson, who took care of me my entire 3 hour visit. A manager named Doug also approached me to welcome me to the membership club. I'm completely new to golfing, my original club has a stiff shaft and I briefly mentioned that I wanted to see what a regular one felt like. Without even asking and without it even being in my membership tier, Doug brought me out the new callaway paradym driver which I've been wanting to try, so that I could test out the regular shaft and he let me use it my whole visit. He also got me in touch with one of their trainers there as well as a wonderful gentleman that goes by "rock" who would look after me as well if I needed anything. Such a unique experience! Top Golf is a fun combination of technology and driving golf balls, designed for large or small group outings. One doesn't have to be a golf pro to enjoy the game. Staff members work closely with you to explain each scoring strategy.... not just a typical driving range, as I originally thought. Each ball contains microchips and your score is based upon hitting the ball in large different color sections located on the well lit field. The electronic score keeping is similar to bowling. The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonably. You can choose to eat in the large bar areas or in your rented bay. Each bay is spacious with plenty of comfortable seating. If it's a cool Florida night, no worries, each bay is nicely heated. It's a great way to socialize and enjoy a drink with friends. The only negative is you have to pay a one time $5 membership fee prior to renting a bay. The price per hour can be expensive, but more reasonable if you play with a group and split the cost. Prior to my visit at Top Golf I had never played golf outside of putt putt. I ended up loving it and had a great time. Top Golf is one of the newer places to visit at the town center and it offers a nice, non intimidating way to play golf without being a pro or spending hours practicing. Basically you rent out a bay per hour and you and your friends can play at your own leisure for the time you pay for. At first it took a minute to get a hang of, but they have different targets all over the course that can easily be hit. The inside is nice and offers free games like pool or Xbox. There is a bar and restaurant inside that your server will bring food from to your Golf bay. I went in the morning and it was not crowded at all and I received my food and drinks very quickly. I ordered wings and hummus and both tasted great. I can see how things could be hectic if it was slam packed, but I went in the morning and it was very enjoyable. I went to Topgolf for my birthday!(yay me!). My birthday was on a Sunday, I found out later that Sunday is their busiest day. So there are two lines you will have to wait in if its your first time visiting. First there is the line to get a membership card and reserve time. FYI, they don't refund the time you pay for(we will get to why that was important in a min). So once you do that, then you go to concierge and reserve a bay. This is when they tell you the wait time, which in our case, was 2 hours. So then we head to the bar/restaurant area. There are plenty of seats at the bar and tables to dine. Actually, you could just come here to eat and drink and not even bother with the golfing. The bar area is just that cool, and the food is just that good. Speaking of food, we started off with the Moshi-Mexican sushi....get it, trust me. I ordered the brisket grilled cheese, which needs some type of sauce to be truly outstanding, but is pretty good as is. Also I got a Pineapple Punch with comes with a cool golf bag cup and golf club straws. Now you have to be there with someone to order a golf bag. Luckily I was with 3 other people. The food was really good and we ate and talked. We finished eating and my husband checked to see if our bay was ready, and we had 8 people ahead of us....I was rhet to go! so hubby goes back to see if we could get a refund, he was informed that they do not do that. Then a very nice manager came over and found a bay for us and also gave us injectable doughnut holes on the house. Luckily we had reservations and co-workers were already in the bay when we showed up. Service was not an issue since we had two servers mostly attending to our party. I thought the food was okay although I mostly drank the whole time. Golfing is fun even though it's more difficult than it looks. I had a good time just watching though. Getting the membership card was a pain. I decided to get it before we left since the line was so long when we got there but it didn't seem to help much. This is quite the hangout on Saturday nights in Jacksonville. The bar/restaurant area was packed with people eating and enjoying beverages. One thing that's a bummer is that they took the Mac n cheese egg rolls off of the menu. So if you're looking for prompt service, I suggest not coming here on a Saturday night. I have been to several top golfs on a Saturday night and it's like that across the board. I would suggest going to the bar and getting a drink while waiting for your bay to open. The bar tenders seem to have trouble mixing drinks here. This is twice now that I've ordered a dirty martini and it's literally all olive juice. I then ordered a regular martini and it was also all olive juice as well. Why am I paying for olive juice in a fancy glass? Something that irritated us was that we had received a text letting us know that our bay was almost ready and to reply if we were still interested. We relied yes, and then after that we waited an additional 45 minutes. We also didn't like that we were closing out our tabs at our bay and the next party at our bay had already arrived. The staff was confused, but we felt as if we were being rushed out because we hadn't even cashed out yet. read more

The location is central, making it an easy meet up spot for people who live all over Jacksonville. The quality of service I've received here has varied from excellent to not so great.
