This joke of a business took my 50" television to repair! I called a few months after they had my television! I was told it needed a power supply and a motherboard! The power supply would cost about $69 but they couldn't find a motherboard but were still looking! I looked on eBay and found several motherboards but I don't like ordering from China because you don't if you'll get a good product or a bad one! About a week went by and I called Topps back and asked if it would be alright if I found a motherboard? Could I get it myself and bring it to them! I was told that would be fine! I thought they were still attempting to get one as well! Needless to say I never found one in the US so I just waited, not wanting to rush them! After they had my television for a year, I called to ask if I could come pick it up! I was informed that my 50" television had been disposed of! I was quite surprised by this! The gentleman I spoke to informed me that in the fine print of the receipt I was given for donating to them for diagnosing the television that it stated that the tv would be disposed of 30 days after I was given an estimate! I had to find my receipt to see this information for myself and it did indeed state that it would be disposed of as he said! I never received any estimate beyond the price of the power supply! So,my tv should not have been disposed of! I lost my cool and said a few choice words and let him know that he would here from my attorney(idle threat)! I asked him if they had tried to call me regarding the disposal of my tv! He said that they had tried to call me. I asked him if they had left any voicemails and he stated that they had not! I just hung up the phone! A few days passed and I received a call from the gentleman at Topps! He told me that he pulled my records and lied to me about the 7 calls they placed to me regarding the disposal of my tv! He stated that they left a couple voicemails! Stated that my voice mailbox was full on a few occasions which I knew was false! I am just letting everyone know that this business is not trustworthy! I have spread the word about how I was treated and prevented a few friends to not to take their property there! I may have lost a television but I'm a person that was disrespected and shown no empathy by these people who seem to be good down to earth people but they could care less that I cannot afford another 50" tv! I've always wanted one and got a good deal on this one because it needed repair! That's alright it's just an earthly possession. I'm sure the people that I steer away from them will make some difference! I'm not the first person that has been done this way and I'm not gonna be the last! Word of mouth is a powerful weapon! I have a pretty large social media footprint where this Novella will be posted ever month!
