Stringy on the toppings too as on the picture, 6 olives for an 8 piece pizza... In any case, the food is unbelievable value. They serve authentic, thin and crispy pizzas with delicious toppings. The calzone is absolutely HUGE! I've never had a pasta dish so can't comment on that. This place is always pleasantly busy with quick and friendly service.

Considering its across the street from pizza express, this place is much better pizza and better value too.

Maybe even more than 4 stars, but the pizza here was really quite good! My colleague in London…read moresuggested taking a walk through Brixton my last evening at our London offices back in September as I had not really been on that side of the Thames and am pretty adventurous. He also suggested coming here for dinner which I decided to take him up on that even though where Franco Manca is located has a lot of very interesting food venues which reminds me of Grand Central Market in downtown Los Angeles. The staff was helpful and sat me immediately. I ordered a glass of wine which was just okay. I'm not really knowledgable about wines so I guess my way through it and this one wasn't as good as others I've had. I ordered one of the more basic pies as I feel that should really be the tell-tale sign of a good pizza. The crust and dough of this pizza was truly excellent as was the cheese. The sauce lacked a bit of flavor and freshness. It wasn't a bad sauce, but I like when there's a fresh and very strong tomato taste which I didn't get eating this. After eating a full pizza, I didn't look to get a dessert and didn't even check to see if they had one. Overall, a decent pie to eat in a very peculiar area! When I arrived back to South Kensington, I noticed there was a location of Franco Manca a block away! Oh well. It was better to see a different area of London.

To start, we got the Dough Balls Doppio and Bruschetta Originale. The dough balls came with a basil pesto dip, which was INCREDIBLE. I'm not even joking when I say that it made my mouth water. The perfect mix of pesto with the spiced tomato dip made the balls extremely palatable. The bruschetta had THE most delicious tomatoes, on the softest garlic bread. The Soho 65 pizza came with rocket (arugula for this particular one), buffalo mozz, cheese, tomatoes, and olives - which I decided to opt out of. OH MY GOD. What a daintily simple combination of flavors. Side tip - ask for the pesto to top off on your pizza... dripping some of the oil on the rocket gave the pizza even MORE oomph. My mates ordered other pizzas - the Melanzane and something else as well, both of which were finished quickly. We all ordered desserts to go... chocolate cake, tiramisu, and another as well. Needless to say they were each immaculate in their own way. So.. to sum up. Great place to dine in. Likely just as good for take away. Do it.

There was a large selection of delicious pizzas. I loved that they could accommodate to allergies. The one negative was that the pizza dough was totally charred on the back which gave this bitter taste. It definitely took away from the deliciousness of the pizzas. All four pizzas came out this way. One was so burnt that we had to send it back. They were nice about it. Wish they took it easy in the pizza oven rather than let the dough get to the point where it's burnt.
