This hidden gem in Dublin is tucked away in a quiet corner with plenty of parking. I loved that they offer unique nigiri options like salmon belly and hamachi belly that are hard to find elsewhere. I can't stop eating at this family restaurant. I have been coming here since day 1. Never disappoints. Fish is always so fresh and the place is super clean. The owner is obsessed with sanitization and is committed to serving fresh fish and great food. The interior here is plain, unremarkable, but not uninviting. It could use a bit more character, but I enjoyed my meal all the same. Our waitress was very kind and sweet, anticipating my needs consistently! I never needed to ask for a tea refill, or the check, or a to-go box! Any of the sushi rolls and the spicy scallop hand roll are so good! My husband is partial to the beef teriyaki (comes with cabbage salad and miso soup). Everything was delicious & for a party of 3 adults, 2 kids & an infant for under $95 seems like a good deal. There was only one waitress working on a Tuesday night so be patient. There's parking & the place seems clean, even the bathrooms. They had a lot of takeouts so yes this restaurant is great. I do really like shiitake mushrooms so give that a try. Great sushi spot we discovered for dinner takeouts on our drive home from work a few years ago. We have been coming back to this restaurant every time when we craved for sushi. They have a decent selection of rolls and you can't beat that price. We all know how expensive sushi can get these days and this place is affordable. We even tried to dine in on weekend but their service can be slightly slow because they only a small crew. But the lady that works there is so sweet and approachable. My family and I came here for their lunch special. It was $13 during the week and it was super yummy and delicious with big portions. You cannot beat the price and amount of food. We are always immediately greeted at the door by the sushi chefs and waitress. They are so welcoming to me and my family all the time. We checked this place out even though it's always been at this specific location for as long as I can remember. I would like to say that this place is decent for their affordability with quality sushi! It's fairly small inside and not much seating (around 7 tables + a few bar seating). From my understanding, it seems like they are still in the process of renovating the restaurant. Their menu has no pictures and everything was just typed out of a printed sheet of paper. Service was great - water refills, repeated back our orders, attentive. This place is one of my top spots for dates (I'll be coming back) and quick fix for sushi for sure! Chirashi Don ($20) - LOVED the sushi rice and comes with miso soup! This came with 3 pieces of salmon, 3 pieces of tuna, 3 pieces of yellowtail, Tamago, 3 pieces of Mutsu, shrimp, and Aji(?). Fresh, thick slices - worth the price for sure. Dragon Roll ($13) -Inside only has shrimp tempera but it was fried to perfection. Super crispy. This roll is topped with avocado, eel, eel sauce, and masago. We were satisfied with this one. Lion King ($12) - Since it's baked, it was the last one that came out. This roll was a little smaller but mayo with salmon was baked great. The inside has avocado and imitation crab. It was okay - I wish it was crab mix on the inside rather than a crab stick. The plus side: Plenty of parking and fish is generous. We ordered the nigiri mix and the slab of fish on top was more than generous. The prices are decent as well. The handrolls were good. The not so great: Not sure if this place changed owners or something, but our sushi presentation and taste was definitely not below average. I was pretty surprised given the great ratings on yelp. 1. We ordered spicy tuna rolls and it was so oddly shaped. There was very little filling inside the roll, but instead, the spicy tuna was haphazardly slapped on top. It's like they squeezed too hard, couldn't cut the roll properly, and so added dollops of tuna on top. 2. Ordered the tempura. Our tempura batter looked nothing like pictures from previous yelpers. The veggie was basically soaking in oil. It was flat, oily, and didn't have much of a crunch as it was sitting in a pile of oil. 3. My daughter's roll with salmon on top was sliced so thin that the salmon ripped and you could see rice. That's a first for us. Previous yelpers' photos looked great, too bad we didn't get the same! I've tried ordering just broccoli tempura at other sushi restaurants and it's always a no. Sashimi is always fresh and melts in your mouth. Small spot in a small plaza with a shared parking lot, but there was plenty of parking here. Not much service - I ordered ahead on the phone for a to go order, so my food was ready to go when I arrived within 15 minutes. A bit inconvenient because I did not know that they do not take Apple Pay, so thankfully I had my actual card on me. I ordered a sake maki, sake nigiri, and salmon handroll. The portions for the sake maki and sake nigiri were generous, while the salmon handroll was average sizing and I only paid about $20 for all 3. Salmon tasted pretty fresh, but the nigiri had a fatty salmon taste to it and the handroll also had a slight aftertaste to it. read more

What I was really surprised by was the paper plates, plastic to go sauce cups for your sushi, and miso soup served in a to-go cup. I wasn't expecting much from the sushi at this point. I ordered salmon belly sashimi, albacore tuna belly sashimi, spicy albacore hand roll and an Over the top Rainbow Roll. The sashimi and hand roll came out first. To my surprise, the albacore belly was really good and so was the salmon belly. It was lightly seared in the top. The hand roll was good as well. The roll came out and it was really over the top with fried bits. It was good, but a bit too much fried bits. Overall the service was fine, but I would rather not eat on paper plates and to go cups. That alone deserves one star reduction, but I will say the sushi was very good for the price. I would say it is very good for everyday sushi. read more

This place was my second choice since my first choice didnt happen. I want to give this place a chance but from the first step in to me leaving, it was just all bad. When you enter the restaurant it was weirdly blocked off and I thought they were only taking togo orders but you can see some people seated in the corners. They didnt greet people waiting at the door and if it wasn't for the people that cut us in line, we wouldn't know how to enter this place. Also they didn't really cut us in the line cause they told the waitress we were there first. The waitress seated me and my husband at the bar which was fine and we waited a bit to get our orders taken. They seated two other people at the bar later than us AND they took their order first?! I am confused. So overall our wait from ordering to getting out food was 45mins-1hour. This was for 3 items: 2 rolls and a chirashi don. The people that seated 15mins after we did also got their food first. Once we got our food, honestly we were disappointed. The presentation of the food was funny in a very bad way. Don't take your date here. The portions are small and it was just decent. They served miso soup in togo containers, you eat on paper plates, plastic dishes, and disposable chopsticks. I understand covid situation but this goes beyond. The deluxe chirashi don was even more disappointing. For $27, the presentation wasn't appetizing and it looked like they just tossed the fish on top. Usually it is a bit more organized and presented nicely, especially looking at other pics of it. It was quite sad. Everything costed $75 for 2 rolls and a plate of fish. Service was very slow. I wish I could say more positive things but there was none. We walk in and there was only one family in the restaurant, that right away gave my boyfriend and I concerns but we still wanted to give it a chance. We ordered two rolls, chicken katsu, miso soup, and my boyfriend attempted to get hamachi nigiri. I also ordered green tea, which arrived in a red solo cup and was luke warm. The only items that did not come in to go containers was the sushi rolls, it was less than ideal dining experience. When our sushi arrived, it looked like someone went a little crazy on the sauce and it was over saturated to the point it took away from the flavor of the sushi. The rolls also looked like they had older avocados in it because they were browning:/ The inside looked like part dining, part storage unit with boxes everyw The icing on the cake was the nigiri my boyfriend received, our waitress dropped it off and it looked a little off in coloring. My boyfriend took a bite and it was STILL FROZEN. When we told the waitress it's still frozen, she verbatim said "oh just wait another 5 to 10 minutes and it will be thawed". Um what?? One of the few places that has sukiyaki. They also have beef gyudon. I miss the old Yoshinoya chain. I don't know what happened to them, but they may still be in Southern California. I used to love their beef bowls. It's similar here, but not at good as Yoshinoya's, not bad though. I've also had their salmon shoyiaki, a little dry, but next time I'll tell them more medium. It wasn't in the menu, just regular salmon teriyaki, but the waitress had no problem omitting the sauce. The California roll portion was very generous, too! I've always gone to the Vietnamese place next door, but I'm a fan now. Apparently a lot of locals, go there too. I've been there twice now. read more
