A highly recommended place to take pets, and even though the service is pricey its worth it, and they work with all the leading pet insurers.

Thanks to Andy and his team of nurses, who looked after him daily over a 2 month period, he is now a healthy 6 year old. I have always found everyone at the practice very friendly, enthusiastic and professional. Andy and his colleague are superb vets and offer many different types of treatment, aside from standard medicines. They explain things clearly, even when those things may not be what we pet lovers really want to hear! One of our previous dogs had a broken leg (from a car accident) and they arranged for him to have treatment at a specialist centre at St Helens, as well as enabling us to have him groomed and bathed after having a general anaesthetic (without which these activities would not have been possible!) David Thomson, the owner is also a great supporter of Pat Woods Cat Rescue, and is a genuine animal lover. All the vets are very good with the animals and I would recommend it to anyone.

They are available 24 hours a day, but also have weekend appointments at their usual weekday price at their new site on councillor lane, Cheadle. We frequently visit for the smaller day to day problems such as infections etc. And they always provide the best care for the animal with check ups if necessary. They also offer free appointments for things such as tick removal etc. On a few occasions we have had to deal with more serious problems, on a couple of occasions we had to have our pets put down. Woodcroft always handle this situation well and are always looking out for the best interests of the animal. Another of our cats was run over two years ago and survived although his leg was shattered. The care we received for him was brilliant and he is now back to normal climbing trees and running around with the other cats, which at the time we thought would never happen! The staff at woodcroft are great, very friendly and full of advice. Their facilities are brilliant and their prices are low for the service you get. No other vet compares!

My cat has a heart condition and was referred to their cardiologist Jane who is absolutely wonderful with Rio and so caring. More recently he has needed to be referred to the internal medicine vet Donald who was also very caring and explained things to me very well. My cat doesn't like the vets at the best of times and it was so reassuring to know that I didn't have to travel to an unknown vets with him as Woodcroft had their own referral vets. Everyone from the receptionists to the vets make you feel really at ease and I just couldn't imagine taking my baby anywhere else. Thank you Woodcroft!

I will be bringing my cats here also next time as I have been using a different vet but thought I would give Cecil avenue a try and I now realise I was getting ripped of at the other vets I have been using so I will now be using Cecil Avenue vets as the prices are also excellent. They offer a huge amount of testing facilities and have a large hospital based in Leigh Lancs. They offer various clinics such as weight management, Junior club,nurse club and dental club(they do more than I have listed) Everything is explained in a clear and non patronising way. You are kept informed at every stage.This has a family feel to it. They really do care. These are without any doubt hte best vets I have ever used. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
