Service good, parking lot a bit confusing at first. I ordered a cappuccino and their signature breakfast burrito bowl style. Cappuccino was good, but they ran out of mugs...looked around not a single person had a mug so I guess no one to do dishes. My chorizo breakfast bowl was overpowered by nutmeg, i know nutmeg is in chorizo, but they put way too much, had to soak the bowl down with hot sauce to counter the flavor. I only ate half the meal and was out...couldn't take it. Probably not a place I would come to eat again at. Nothing really too appealing on the menu for me. read more

I don't leave many reviews, but wow, this place has incredible food. This is a coffee shop?? The chilaquiles are outstanding 5/5. The breakfast taco was so good that I couldn't believe the ingredient list when my wife told me (egg, cheese, bean). The flavor was excellent!! 5/5 Drinks were ok, go for the food imo. Could be a little cleaner in the dining area. Tables need to be wiped down a bit better. We sat at 3 different tables before we found one that was clean enough that we could comfortably eat. But, even considering all this I give this place 4/5 stars. If it was a little more clean it would easily be a 5/5. Go here for breakfast. Don't hesitate. read more

Wanted to like this place, but won't be coming back. We ordered two tres leches lattes, a berry cloud matcha, a breakfast burrito, and migas. My husband and I visited tormenta Coffee for breakfast, we were famished! The place is clean, and wasn't too busy. Their menu has limited options, it's mostly Tex mex. We ordered 2 breakfast tacos and chilaquiles. The tacos (1 corn, 1 flour tortilla) very tasty, and both tortillas are amazing! I would order again. Now the chilaquiles verdes please! This is a big bowl full of crispy nachos, with outstanding salsa verde and tomato sauce, a fried egg, crunchy onion and cilantro, sour cream, delicious cotija cheese, chorizo and AMAZING beans! I was staying at a nearby hotel for work and decided to walk over one morning in search of better coffee--and I found it. Tormenta is a fantastic little coffee spot that truly delivers. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with ample parking available. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, making every visit a pleasure. On my first morning, I enjoyed a regular latte, which was great. The next day, I tried the chorizo, egg, and cheese sandwich--it was fantastic. I also sampled their Ube latte, and it did not disappoint. All of my coworkers staying in the area ended up coming here instead of sticking with the hotel, and they loved it just as much. The drinks are amazing! Everything is fresh + homemade here! I love the lavender lemonade, my husband swears by the dirty chai + my son is obsessed with the hot chocolate. They make my son a special bean + cheese burrito that is super huge + yummy. I've tried the carne asada quesadillas, the fish tacos + also the birria tacos + birria ENCHILADAS! We got to try them before they come out + WOW! Never would have thought to put birria in enchiladas! It's comes in red + green! The red is bomb.com so full of flavor. Was just in there 20 minutes ago with my boss. I ordered the lavender vanilla latte with oatmilk and she ordered a coldbrew with oatmilk. When we took a sip of our coffees, they both tasted extremely sour almost rancid. One of the worst coffees we both have had and we both spent 8$+ per coffee. Service was good but i believe staff need to be checking more often to make sure ingredients are up to parand that they arent serving customers something that could make them sick. The atmosphere was awesome the place smelled like freshly ground coffee beans. Staff was very nice, I got two street tacos, chicken and carne asada. The tacos came with red and green salsa, which were both amazing. I put both salsas on the tacos, excellent. I also impulse bought a pastry at the register, it was a blueberry cream cheese danish. Nice little coffee shop with a kitchen. Food is fresh and made to order. Wait time was minimal since it's all scratch made. Portions are big and processed is good for what you get. If anything they need more seating inside, but can't due to space. Weekends are busy so be prepared. read more

Needing something to eat, I stopped in at Tormenta after hearing great things about this place! It definitely did not disappoint! As I was having a late lunch, I opted for the shrimp ceviche and an iced latte with almond milk and sugar free vanilla. The ceviche was so good! The shrimp was fresh and the red salsa that accompanied it has a nice kick to it! I would definitely get this again! Ryan was the chef and he did a great job in presentation. The iced latte definitely hit the spot, and since I have plans tonight, it gave me that extra boost I need to make it through the day. I was told they make the syrup there, which is super cool! Absolutely fantastic, every single thing we tried was amazing. The coffee was delicious and they had so many creative flavors! My favorites are the Tormenta Tres Leches drink and the affogato. My cousin says her mocha with the oat milk is great too. The food is fantastic - the flavor of the chicken is always delicious and the green salsa is absolutely the best I've ever had. I've tried the tacos, burritos, and quesadillas which are all so good but I think my favorite is the burrito with their picked onions. The breakfast food served all day is great too, my cousin is obsessed with the chorizo breakfast sandwich but I love the croissant french toast most myself. The fruit is always fresh and different! I cannot recommend this place enough. The decor is cute, the music is pleasant and not too loud, and the staff are all so incredibly nice. It has such a lovely positive atmosphere. Ok, so the coffee is good. The chilaquiles were ok. The service... ehhh. I have to preface, there are to two types of chilaquiles. The kind that are on the dryer side of the grill, and the kind that are soupy and have the liquid from the salsa in the bottom in the bowl. I prefer the first kind, but this was the latter. I just can't get behind soggy tortilla chips. They were out of the churro coffee that I wanted to try, so I ended up just getting a cappuccino. The guy working the cash register, didn't seem to be very attentive. I was paying and he just walked away and started to talk to the barista and didn't offer me my receipt or confirm that the order had processed. I asked for some water with my order and he pointed me to a near empty self-serve which I had to tip to get anything out. When my food came out, the runner didn't bother to bring any silverware, which I noticed wasn't being offered to anyone and there wasn't a station accessible for people to get silverware without having to go behind the counter. I noticed the runner didn't offer silverware to any of the customers that came in while I was there... kind of weird that she didn't catch on to bringing silverware to the table. Overall, it's a nice place, they just have some kinks to work out. Maybe it'll be better next time. read more

Just tried tormenta for the first time and not very impressed. We decided to do brunch for veterans day. Tex mex inspired menu and for the price, not worth it! We had the breakfast burrito which was bland and basically just potato. The table next to us also got burritos and neither guest finished even half of it. On the positive side, the staff was very nice and the place was clean and well maintained. Its fine for tourist but as a local, there are much better options available. read more

And strawberry lemonade. The experience was well, employees were friendly, drinks & food came out in a timely manner. I was sadly disappointed in the food. It was very bland. The salsa added a good flavor. But if you were to eat without the salsa it's too much egg, no flavor at all. A lot of people in there, good vibes! Overall very mid food & average drinks! I went in around 9am and the drive through was no wait at all. The barista was super helpful and nice. Very welcoming. It was our first time trying this coffee shop. We tried the King Cake and Snickerdoodle Matcha. Hands down some of the best coffee/matcha combinations ever! I'm not a big matcha person but it was DELICIOUS!!
