The odd time that our son would get hurt or have a problem with another child, we were immediately informed of the details and what was done to solve the problem. I was always impressed with the way they handled any and all situations that arose. Regardless of anything, he would come home happy every day! After reading the poor review left here by someone else, it seems like their child has personal problems that aren't the daycare's fault. I wouldn't pay much attention to that review since my wife and I have never known anyone to have a negative thing to say about Ladybug daycare. My wife and I are very much looking forward to enrolling our youngest son when he becomes old enough to attend!

The staff is very kind and gentle with the children, always playing with them and keeping a close eye. As you know, children can be reckless and on multiple occasions my son has been pushed or kicked by another toddler, the teacher automatically notified me of this, ensuring me that the other parent was notified as well. This is just one of the ways the staff at this daycare differ greatly from other ones. 2. The food is catered and organic, all a parent can ask for for their children is for them to eat well and healthy. They offer a menu in which I can keep track of everything that my son is eating and it is very beneficial for me to work around. 3. The children spend a lot of time outdoors, they exercise and play. They are not confined within the walls of the daycare but rather gets fresh air throughout the day. My son is very energetic, so being able to go outside is a perfect way for him to play to the fullest of his extent and explore the world around him. 4. Finally, the environment that he is surrounded by is full of learning, music, care and fun, all of which are needed in the development of children. An incredible nursery / pre-school, and neighbourhood gem…read more All 3 of my children have flourished at and enjoyed their years at Creative Corner, which offers 2 unique programs (T/Th for 2 year olds, and M/W/F for 3 year olds), a perfect supplement to my kids' time with me at that age. My kids have waltzed into kindergarten (whereas I'm the one crying) after being a part of the nurturing and cooperative environment. The classroom is bright, welcoming, and colourful, and the program structure offers creative play based stations & hands on activities that are different every day. Teachers are incredible. They develop a special relationship with each child, and are always available to communicate with parents. Diapers and all stages of potty training are welcome, which made the training less stressful in our home. Kids get to bring their packed lunch to school in the 3 day program, which is adorable, and great practice for Kindergarten. This is one of the only cooperative nursery schools in the area, which means parents have lower fees, and can play a small role in the ongoings of the school, or even join the executive. I will be heavy hearted to be moving on from Creative Corner (after 5 years) in June, and would highly recommend it to any and every family looking for a part time nursery school for their little one.

Shortly after joining Creative Corner, wow. I can attribute this to the teacher, Meg, and the nurturing environment she fosters. Supportive, educational, fun, and very attentive to our all the children. They learn to play together, share, as well as be comfortable to do activities independently. The classroom is always kept neat & clean, amazing given that they're toddlers! If we have another child, I would most certainly bring them here for 2 years as well. The kids LOVE going, they get up in the mornings and look forward to seeing their teachers and friends. It is more than a daycare, they are warm and loving, they also incorporate learning into the programs. Everyday my kids come home with crafts, and stories about their day. The staff is outstanding! Pros: -they maintain a good adult : infant/toddler/preschooler ratio; -they will respect your food preferences for your child; -nice, clean facility with both a well-lit area for play and a darkened room for naptime; -access to seeing your child on the Webcam while s/he is there; -those who work directly with your child, are nice; -they have a program called "Transition week" to help ease both your child, as well as yourself and your partner if you have one, into being part of daycare life; -shortened wait time in being accepted (no 1 - 2+ year wait). Cons: -they display an impressive schedule of activities, but in actuality will find it hard to embark on most of the listed endeavours; -babies are said to be more exposed to various germs, so anticipate minor illnesses; -there is the possibility of accidents (ex: one baby may bite your child's cheek). If you're a new parent, you will feel crushed to learn that harm has come to your baby - while under the care of 3 adult, experienced, caregivers; -exorbitant pricing. Can't think of a more expensive daycare. Would I recommend Kids & Company? At the moment - kind of. As someone who's worked with young people myself, I was expecting an energizing program, and after 3 days have yet to see their any building of skills, language development. I will revise this, if in time my opinion changes. It was my baby's first day, today, and I was gobsmacked to learn that another young child was able to hurt mine. There were regular instances of aggressive behaviours from the other children and my 2-year old began exhibiting these behaviours as well, which is something that we never see at home or in other circumstances with other children. The cameras showed incredibly incompetent and irresponsible actions from the staff such as sweeping the floors while children were tackling each other and throwing things at one another. Our child would often come home upset, hungry, injured, and sometimes soaking wet with urine. The staff at Kids & Company seemed to blame the parents for the behaviour and took very little responsibility. As soon as we un-enrolled our child and put him in another daycare program, he began to flourish and became much happier. I am grateful that he is now doing well but I feel awful for keeping him in a daycare for several months in which the environment was aggressive, unhealthy, and un-supportive.
