I ended up asking an old lady where she would go for lunch and she suggested this place. I then happened to look up yelp and called a different place and they were closed, however, she also suggested I try here. As we got to the centre of town I happened to speak to another gentlemen who told us to go here and, gave us a tip about a small Christmas market on a tiny little lake, not far from the restaurant. It's been around since 1350 and has a ton of character. Take the time to peruse the photos around the restaurant of times gone by. The food here is amazingly good and the service is very friendly. My Blutwürstgröstl (black pudding fry up) was just excellent as was my soup. Amazingly good flavours and decent portions. Our waiter spoke great English and was very accommodating to the non German speakers. Everyone absolutely loved their meals and it was €100 including tips for 6 of us to have lunch here including drinks and coffees. Only one item we had was over €10. The town of Golling is a beautiful town and has some great architecture. It's a really pretty place to walk around. The Christmas market was really great and albeit small, very charming.
