The owners are very knowledgeable about Italian wine and spirits and do not cater to very commercial brands, rather they opt to showcase smaller, niche companies with interesting heritage stories. We ended up purchasing several bottles to gift to our family and friends, and they were all well received. The prices are very fair. I would definitely shop here again.

They carry wines from about 45 small Italian producers and have a good selection of Italian cold cuts, cheeses and groceries. There are a few tables inside to sit and enjoy a glass or wine or a coffee and of course you can buy to takeaway as well. It's a couple that run the place and it's a charming old Fachwerk house that has been done up beautifully inside. It's surprisingly huge but looks tiny from the outside. They were extremely friendly and helpful and their prices are quite ok. The quality of their products is also high and I ended up buying a few things besides wine here. A fabulous shop well worth stopping at in town. It's a little slice of Italy in town (there are a few slices of Italy in this town ;-)). Great products, great service and lovely ambience.

There is a daily special and an a la carte menu, all below 10 Euros though you can mix it up and pay as much as you want ;-). I had the Schnitzel with Cucumber and potatoes for 5.80. I had it heat up and they seal it inside a big machine to make your tray (they give you one) completely safe to carry everywhere. Seriously the sealing process is serious. Silverware, and off I went to try it out. It was warm enough even after a little walk due to the sealing. Everything was as expected, not crazy good but good enough, and very typisch German. It is a solid cheap lunch option if in the area and you can choose from a few other options to make your lunch slightly healthier though this is not the place for healthy options. It was really fresh, and yummy. I bought the ones where you cook them on your own instead of the freshly cooked ones already. We got 10 huge ravioli pieces for 10euros, 2 of each flavor ( meat, cheese, and spinach). I cooked them for about 3 minutes and added some homemade pasta sauce. They tasted good and were huge in size so I was stuffed after having 3. Will definitely be coming back here for more. Cash only. And they only have them on Wednesdays.
