Tostones Inc. -Tampa Love Tostones, Mofongos, or Jibarito Sandwiches? Well, Tostones Inc is your place. Tostones Inc. sculpts green plantains into literal cups for their tostones rellenos dish. Thier fried plantain cups are filled with the meat of your choice: Latin pork, BBQ pork baked chicken, chicken salad, chicken honey siraracha, beef picadillo, avocado salad or zesty shrimp salad. Thier chicken and shrimp tostones are so unique in thier taste. Thier Jibarito Sandwich is a definite hit. Two green plantains that are fried and smashed into buns to hold a generous portion of Latin pork. It's the kind of irresistible snack for either Lunch or Dinner.

I've been patronizing this restaurant for the past five years since I moved to Tampa . It was very convenient and good because I live right across the street, but over the past couple of years this place has really went down as far as food goes . I ordered The chicken has been very dry, overcooked and just not up to their normal standards. I really hate this because I always recommend family and friends when they come to Tampa and stay with me... I won't be doing that anymore.. hopefully they can get things back up to par.

This place truly does have the best Tostones! And I try them everywhere that has them. To explain them is that they are crispy without being dried out. I understand they are cooked different depending on who cooks them Cubans, Columbians etc. I just love the way they do it here. I got the jibarito today and honestly it was missing things like tomato's and lettuce leaving it rather plain. I suppose I will just have them add that next time. I'm sure it's just preference. The quality is very good. Yes service was nice and the place was very cute, quaint.

Delicious, cheap food. One tostones nachos plate will feed you for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I'm serious, I skipped breakfast, ate here with a friend for lunch and I have half of it saved for dinner. It's been two hours and I still feel stuffed. I think it is a combination of size and the fact that it's heavy food, this isn't diet stuff. The tostones are clearly cooked in oil. It's not super greasy, but I felt like it weighed me down a bit by the end. That's the main reason I took some home. However, they were delicious. Here's the breakdown of the food. BEEF EMPANADA - the outer casing was light and crispy, I loved it. The beef was very good too. It's huge so you can definitely share it between two people, which is what we did. TOSTONES NACHOS - You can choose two toppings, so I went with avocado and shrimp salad. Both have a lot of tomatoes so next time I'd switch one of them for a meat. It's big and is definitely a good choice if you're hungry. The sauces are where it's at. There's a ketchup/mayo dip and a garlic one. Both are amazing and I would just eat the dip and tostones as a great snack. The service is great. Everyone is super friendly. They don't have free water, only water bottles, just as an fyi. They said it's because they don't have a filter for water. This place is fantastic. It was pretty empty on Friday at lunch. If you're in the area, I'd highly suggest it!

This place and the other one fell off, when the original order started it was Amazing food, now it's just horrible. This is not the first time I have a issue with my food, I'm sick and tired of spending my money here never again will I go back. This time the tostones was not verde " green " they was Maduro " sweet " And in top of that they was burn over cooked The chicken forget about it you will never get good chicken with meat in it always bones 70% is all bone The juice taste horrible. Idk if is the water they use or the ice but it taste nasty. Completely fell off.. Bad business

I'll be back when I'm in Tampa - really can't go wrong here. Portions are huge, prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and food is tasty. No complaints here. Oh, and get some passionfruit juice. Bruh...

I've ordered twice from here through UberEats (once from the Memorial location and once from the Waters location) and it's been very good each time. I was surprised at how well the tostones kept together considering the delivery time and my co-workers raved about their meals. My first time I got the pork tostones and my second time I got the shrimp. You're better off staying away from the shrimp. While the flavors are good, you can tell it's frozen shrimp and mine were overcooked this time around. Despite that, this place is still a five-star restaurant keeping in mind that this isn't supposed to be fine dining. :-)

Finally went to their new location off memorial. Husband and I went for a mini in-between work shift date. As always the food was amazing and the customer service is always great. I did give a star down because I ordered black beans and they did not put them in my lunch container. That was why I went because I was craving black beans and rice. Sad face. We ordered a large tostones, fried cheese and guava (HIGHLY recommend), a chicken columbian empanada, 1 beef regular empanada, a lunch special of the chicharron de pollo with rice, black beans (they forgot) and Maduro, and 2 relleno cups with pork. Our total was $28 and change. We got a lot of food for what we spent. All in all it was good and satisfied us both. We will be back because they are delicious and we work down the street.

From start to finish it was amazing. I had to peek into the kitchen to see if my mom was back there cooking. Very flavorful, we had the tostones, alcapurias, pastelito de carne..... wow! The place super clean, friendly staff, very inviting atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

Finally went to their restaurant location, as I have always been to the food truck spot (which is now closed). They have a lot more options for meals, and the variety is so much better. The chicken was great, but the Mofongo was a little dry this time. I always order the same thing though. Definitely recommend the fried cheese (queso frito), absolutely delicious, and get a passion fruit (parcha) juice.

This place specializes in tostones so I was very excited to try their food! I ordered the steak with onions and tostones as the side. As you can see - the serving was quite large and the tostones did not disappoint! I was a bit underwhelmed with the steak which had a lot of pepper and was quite chewy. I'd go back again to have the tostones but definitely try something else

    Zesty shrimp with tostones meal!!!

Hour wait for nachos. Ok. Granted that it was 6:30pm Sunday night on Memorial Day weekend but if anything else is open, I would go there.

I opted to get a tampa girl empanada, as it seemed like something different than the norm. The empanada was solid-- it came out piping hot and I really enjoyed the flavors. She got an empanada and said that it was pretty good. However, I waited in line just to get fries. This place opens at 11 AM so we walked up at 10:57 and waited for them to open. Once they opened, they gave us buzzers which I thought was interesting since other places now text. It did mean that I ended up just staying close by because I wasn't sure how far the range was. I do appreciate though that they do give you buzzers in case you want to go put in an order at another place. One order of fries is enough for both children, and they both liked it! My children don't like all fries, so this is useful to know that they will eat the fries here. The fries seem to be made fresh, so I did wait a little bit for it. I think this is a great stall at Armature Works.
