My first tattoo in Pennsylvania with my beastie was at totem know Shamokin. Wonderful people. I have been pierced by the amazing miss Ruth and also by a wonderful young woman at the Shamokin site. So, it was inky natural that when my favorite tattooist (acacia) is booked for a year I called totem. Sadly, the main artist there is dealing with a serious health condition. They recommended calling their sister store in williamsport. Which I gladly did. I called on Tuesday. Was asked to send in pictures of what I wanted (a poinsettia to honor mom) and the placement. I was also told to call back on Thursday to talk to him and book the appointment. I called today (Thursday) after sending the letter and the pictures to talk to Levi and book the appointment. I was told that the appointment had been booked for someone else. When I said that I did everything I was told and didn't understand why the appointment was booked for someone else, I was told, "it happens ". Seriously?? That's how you do business???? Unfortunately the 'ole man just doesn't have the steady hand needed for any detailed work. For the record; he's still leagues better than Shak n Ink. If you must get a discount tattoo, then Bob's the way to go. However, these things are a bit on the permanent side, so I'd just save up for the best I could get.
