Productions are always enthusiastically presented and reasonably priced. It is well worth taking a chance on an unknown group of performers for a pleasant and stimulating evening. The performance space, although small, has tiered seating giving an excellent view of the stage. The atmosphere is intimate, making you feel a part of each event.

Youth theatre events and musical concerts involving local groups and schools form an important part of the theatre's community involvement. There's an excellent (if rather expensive) cafe and bar and you can be added to the mailing list for future events. Audio description is available for some productions to help visually impaired patrons and there is an audio loop for those with hearing difficulties.

It is in the centre of the town and housed in a most beautiful building which it shares with the lending library.
