There is a WHSmith as you enter the station where you can buy drinks, snacks, magazines, books etc for the journey, and there is a cafe where you can purchase hot drinks, sandwiches, cakes etc. This is nice when you're travelling at 6am! The car park at the station is quite large, but is costly to park all day. You can, however, travel in by bus - the H1/H2 bus stops right outside the station, so is very convenient. You can purchase tickets at the station, and they also have a fast-ticket machine if you have bought your tickets before and need to pick them up. There are various platforms, with a footbridge over the lines to get to the ones on the far side. I believe there is a lift as well. There is a waiting room on each platform to keep you warm on cold days too

Used this station a number of times…read more The carpark isnt to bad if parking long term since (well it wwas when i parked) £6 for 24 hours or thereafter so you can park as long as you need. The station entrance is quite small, although there is some self service ticket machines, a WH Smith and the travel desk. The platforms are well sign posted, clean and tidy, although as always they lack bins! The only one I found was outside of the station and that was full up.

It's close to the final station which is Torquay on this line, a place where the station cafe makes great food, and is right on Newton Road which is the road that goes to Newton Abbot. There are some Suburban stores right next to it, and it's old and pretty and features a really lovely tower at the entrance. The tower is reminiscent of something totally different from somewhere totally different.

The pool is basic but functional having an inside and outside pool and seating area. The bar and entertainment is great fun without being overwhelming. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Pets are welcome, but you need to book early as there are limited pet caravans. The entertainment is excellent, very professionally run, with shows by the entertainment staff as well as outside acts. The site has an indoor and outdoor heated pool. Its a 10 minute walk to the beach, 30 second walk from reception to the bus stop. Ideal for touring round Exeter, Torquay, or up on Dartmoor.

There is an indoor swimming pool and outdoor water slides. I found the site excellent. The site was also very clean. If there were any complaints it must be pointed at the club. It is so cramped over a night, it must pose a fire hazard. I'm sure people must have slept there over night to ensure they got their place the following evening. There are some great arcade games for the kids and many fast food type establishments for for thos who feel a bit peckish. There are also restaurants on the site. The beach is not a far distance away. A great place but room for improvement as far as the club is concerned.

As with all Haven parks there is a huge indoor area filled with amusment and gambling machines to urge you to part with your money whilst the weather is too bad for you to be doing anything else. The caravans range from very basic to very nice so depending how much you spend will depend on how you live whilst you are there. There is a beach paralel to the park but access is limited, all in all I would say this park is ok to visit but no more than that, I am certainly in no hurry to head back although if the price was right I would re-visit.

Visited Greenway earlier this year with a group of friends and enjoyed the experience of the actual…read morevisit and the one hour journey to and from the attraction by ferry from Dartmoor. Reaching the house once leaving the ferry is a bit of a trek uphill so make sure you have comfortable walking shoes on. Entry price is around £9 each but they do pretty much guilt you into making a 10% donation to Gift Aid (which is added to the entry price without asking and most people are too embarrassed to ask for this to be removed). The staff also try to sell you National Trust membership which is rather annoying as this really slows down the queue to get in. Once inside you can get some food in the café/restaurant although the prices are quite steep and the queues and service are horrendously slow. You can explore the grounds at your leisure and includes lovely views which you can imagine enthralled Agatha Christie as a child. Entering Greenway House is a lovely experience with the tour guides telling you that you enter as a visitor through the front door and leave via the back door as a friend of the family. Each room in the house can be explored at your own pace. There are items from Agatha Christie's childhood and later life in every room from dolls to books to diaries to items she collected and her piano and music that she wrote. You are not allowed to take photos inside the house. All in all a visit to the house shouldn't take longer than 2-3 hours maximum. A worthwhile experience for fans of Agatha Christie.

I really appreciate this airport! I have family in Devon but I live in the US, so being able to fly…read moreinto and out of this location is a total game-changer for me. They have direct flights to Dublin, which means many major world cities are just one connection away from here, including my home airport, MSP. And considering how many interesting holiday destinations are directly connected here (Greek islands, Canary Islands, numerous beachy parts of Spain, decidedly non-beachy parts of Finland, etc etc), I imagine that people in the SW of England must be pretty pleased as well. Curiously no flights to London, though, as of May 2024. This is the smallest airport I've been to! I'm used to big-city airports so I'm childishly charmed by its small footprint, its adjacent cow pastures, and even the little prop planes parked on the grass. You would think the smaller scale would result in shorter waits at security, but no. Everyone, including flight crews, waits in line for a single person to scrutinize everyone for several minutes. I was in security for thirty minutes on a Friday morning. There are a couple of convenience stores, some comfortable lounge areas, and an actual Executive Lounge with drinks, baked goods, a latte machine, and other snacks. I'm not sure many people would think it was worth paying outright for entry to the Executive Lounge, since the publicly available seating is pleasant enough, but I was glad I was able to get in by flashing my Priority Pass card. My least favorite thing is that they charge you even to drop someone off or pick them up! My dad just wanted to drop me off at the terminal and had to pay five pounds. I think many people just tolerate walking in from the road. I think it's mean to put us in that position. The staff I dealt with were very kind! I had a question about routing my luggage, and several people were summoned to weigh in and ensure that my needs were met. Mostly I'm just glad that, as someone who needs to get to this area from the US, I have this option available.
