Our apartment was just a block away so after a busy day we stopped in for dinner. They have menus…read morein German, Spanish, English, Portuguese and French. Seating is available outside as well as inside and they have an extensive selection of traditional Portuguese food items.
We ordered the sardine platter which came with veggies and garnish. They serve the fish whole so if you don't know how to debone using the spin and taking out the lungs, watch a video before visiting Portugal. We also got the octopus salad which had onion, peppers and lettuce with the octopus. This was the first place we went to that had the salad with peppers and it was great.
For dinner, we had the traditional Portuguese steak and rice with mixed seafood. The steak was done medium well and was topped with an egg, and beef salami. The dish came with fries, salad, and rice. It reminded me of the Peruvian dish lomo saltado. The sauce that came with it was delicious.
The arroz con marisco was flavorful with clams, shrimp, mussels, crab and squid. It was delicious and went with the bread and butter provided.
All the dishes were amazing and representative of traditional Portuguese. Our total for two was around €50 which was great. Highly recommend visiting.
