I stopped into this lovely spot since I was nearby. This is my second time and it did not disappoint. I am so excited that there will soon be a location on the west side of the state (on 28th Street). I will not have to go far to have delicious pastries and great coffee. This time around, I tried the macarons and coffee. I picked 6 different flavors and each one was so perfect. They were the perfect amount of soft and chewy. The service this time was still fast. However, unlike last time, the cashier was not as friendly. Nothing to deduct a star over. But they seemed like they were having an off day. I guess everyone is entitled to one of those days. This is probably my 4th time coming here, and it's been consistently good every visit. Café Tous Les Jours is such a fun French-Asian bakery café with a great mix of pastries and drinks. My favorite is still the ube cloud donut -- perfectly sweet, light, and satisfying without being overly rich. Most of the pastries are excellent and have that balanced flavor that keeps you wanting to try more. The honey lavender macchiato was also smooth and really well made. I also love the setup -- you grab a tray and tongs when you walk in, pick whichever pastries catch your eye, then bring them up to the register. It may be good for some but for me, its just the chain that never gives me a great experience. We were all shuffled in with hardly any time to browse before you shuffled in line. You grab whatever extremely high overpriced pastry your looking for and then shuffle to the next place in line before you pay with a overstimulated cashier. This is a chain restaurant but honestly, can't even tell because the food is delicious! Overall, this is a bakery so obviously come in the morning for the best selection. I came around 5pm and whole selection wasn't great there was a lot of product left, baked fresh that day. They also offer coffee and have a small sit down area. This placed still wins my heart and my stomach! Over the last couple of weeks, I went to several other coffee shops before returning here. A couple were pretty direct competitors, but I truly prefer what they have to offer here. I got the tiramisu iced coffee with light ice. It was silky, creamy, chocolatey and delicious. Compared to other places, it was made really well, a nice portion, and tasted great. I also got a strawberry cream puff (I do not remember the official name). It was delightful, with a peanut flavored craquelin on top. The cream was so good, and the strawberries were fresh. It is not the cheapest place for buns, but more cost effective than their competitor. The vibe was happening with all kinds of people hanging out, friends, family, students, etc... Always a nice treat that I'm usually able to talk myself into haha since I am often nearby - it's got a great selection of breads, sweet treats and cakes - but specifically the not super sugary sweet, Asian style of dessert. A bit pricey but again, always a treat! I usually get a savory curry bun in the heated oven and let my son choose a treat or two, and we especially like all the fruit options. But they do have some nice savory options too! I've also had a special order birthday cake a year ago and they were easy to work with and pick up. Most recently, we got a croissant pretzel with hazelnut chocolate that so flakey and yummy, and some strawberry and cream topped goodies that we shared with family. Though i don't know why the cream topped pastry was put inside a bag; the cream got everywhere inside and not able to be enjoyed! Would have preferred a box but wasn't paying attention - I would think the cashiers would know enough - but now I will say something for next time so we can enjoy all the cream! We purchased a 6-pack of macaroons and a slice of vanilla cloud cake. I walked in at 11 AM. Both desserts were delicious. I enjoyed surveilling their dessert selection in the front of the store, but they also had a large selection of coffees, which looked good but ultimately I did not get. Constantly busy given the location and the area, which must be a good sign. While they have an enormous selection of desserts online, not all are available in store, and similarly, some things that are available in store are not found online, meaning I walked in with an intention of what to buy and ended up not finding any of those items. I understand this is a chain and also a dessert shop, but the quantity of things that were different was stunning. Also, I discovered afterward that my parents had once attempted to purchase a cloud cake from here, roughly 2 months prior. They were informed that cake was sold out but would be back tomorrow. My parents went back the next day and were told they wouldn't have that specific cake in stock for a while, and were directed to a different, but similar, kind of cake by an employee, which ended up being sold out as well. Finally, my parents went back a week and a half later, and were told they didn't make it anymore, which couldn't have been true because the cake was there when I went looking. I don't think any of the employees acted maliciously or harmful way. The food is great, and I do love the selection. If ube is your thing, this is the place for you. However, I am frustrated with staff and at the difference between the website and the physical location. read more

This bakery was excellent!! We visited this bakery expecting it to be a French bakery, but were pleasantly surprised to find that it was more Asian inspired! We ordered the Lavender Mocha Lemonade, an original Milk cake, an earl fresh macaron, cranberry cream cheese bread, red bean bun, and some mystery pistachio? thing. Everything was so good! The cranberry cream cheese cake is maybe the best thing I've ever eaten! I'm actually glad I don't live by this place and have access to those at will because I would have multiple everyday! For dessert this is exactly what we were looking for. We saw others with giant what appeared to be fruit and cream bowls that looked excellent. The service was very fast with our drinks. I bought a cake that cost over $45 for a surprise gift. It looked beautiful but there was little cake and far too much of a shortening so called frosting surrounding it with fruit topping. It was like they had some cake pieces left over and decided to hide it under a pretty dressing. The eatable fruit was picked out and I ended up throwing the majority away. Have been here numerous times and it does not disappoint. I have my favorites including the honey cream cheese mochi pancake, the Ube latte, taro bread and a variety of their cakes! It's a perfect mixture of French and Asian twist for a bakery. We've bought many cakes from here for birthdays, and they're always a hit and never disappoints the tasters. Love this cute little cafe that's tucked away! They have such a wide range of pastries and baked goods, including savory items! I will say, when you first go in there it's a little overwhelming because there's just so much, but it's really free range as to where you wanna go, so you aren't really holding up a line. One of my favorite details is that they basically list out all the ingredients for each items on the little cards - as someone who has some dietary restrictions, this made the selection a breeze. On my last visit, I got the whole milk bread, a mango donut, as well as a chocolate croissant. I had the croissant as a little pick me up in between some errands I had to run, and it was perfect! It wasn't too chocolaty nor was it too heavy, so it was a nice little treat! The mango donut was for my dad - for him it was a little too sweet but he said it was really good regardless.
