I was driving a 26 foot U-Haul with my mother-in-laws furniture and belongings down I-25 in New Mexico when, at dusk, I suddenly noticed road debris across both lanes of the highway. Unfortunately, someone had dumped a few railroad ties on the road, and I was unable to avoid them. My left front tire was shredded and the rim badly bent, but I was able to get the truck off the side of the road on the shoulder. A minute later, a NM state trooper showed up, got the junk off the road, and came up. He had responded to a report of road debris, but obviously, too late to help me. I called the U-Haul emergency line (excellent job by them as well), and they dispatched Tow Broz. Being in New Mexico, there are long distances to cover, but Dominic Trujillo showed up at the ETA he'd given and went right to work. In less than an hour, he had removed and replaced the damaged tire and rim, and being extra careful, retorqued all the wheels.
