I was on site to attend the Huntersville 101 training class. Tonight's class was on area history and we received a wealth of great information. I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the facilities and the wonderful smell of a clean room. Well, I believe the services were recently performed but nonetheless, the place looked and smelled great!

The city runs an excellent parks and rec program! There's soccer, little league, adult kickball teams and more. They put on amazing programs throughout the year ranging from park concerts, 4th of July events and golf cart parades. Not to mention, whoever runs their social media account is hilarious! Even if you don't live here, the city is worth following just for the laughs. In the 2 years that we've been here I've only had to call or visit city hall a hand full of times. All of my interactions were extremely pleasant, which is unique for a government operation (I'm looking at you DMV). They are conveniently located at the beginning of the peninsula so you really can't miss them. Overall, I'm very grateful to the folks at the city hall who make TC a thoroughly enjoyable place to live

I'm giving them 1 star because the lady at the desk was nice. Other than her, this place is a…read morecomplete joke. The website is a constant glitch fest. I went on to pay my water bill to see that I owe $0, okay great. A week later I receive and email stating that I owe $150, including a shut off fee. Wait, am I receiving golden or crystal lined water? No, although sometimes it looks golden because it is so gross. Anyways, I go up to Town Hall and tell them I that had just checked online last week and had nothing due. I mentioned that the web site must not be updating properly and asked if the shut off fee could be taken off. The lady at the desk replies, "oh yeah, that website is always having problems. People have been complaining lately." Then the head shoulder pad lady speaks up and says, "you have to refresh it." Excuse me ma'am, I wasn't born in 1892, I know how the internet works Then the brusque virago tried to explain there are more ways that I could've tried to pay, "you could call and pay or pay in person." Listen Linda, this is 2023 I want to pay online where I don't have to see or talk to anyone (my antisocial friends understand). Needless to say, all I wanted was to get the shut off fee removed (as I tried to pay the bill before it was overdue, but due to their jankity website I couldn't). Talk about an impertinent experience, that's exactly what I experienced at the Town Hall.
