The library is a museum!!! It's so beautiful inside and out! And if you're just visiting the area I would suggest stopping by and exploring the library to see the beautiful history that is inside! It is located close to Fort Drum, about 15 minutes or so depending on traffic. There is a parking lot in the back that has accessible parking and along the side of the library are wheelchair accessible entrances.

We stayed outside because of covid, and enjoyed a brisk walk on a cloudy fall afternoon. It's definitely an interesting place for history buffs or those interested in maritime history. At the end of Liberty Street in Dexter and just west of the bridge over the Black River, this small…read morepark has a pier/dock on the river. A few folks were here doing some fishing while I visited. I did not see anyone take advantage of the boat launch as the water was running quite high and fast today. The park has a Level 1 charger on one of the light poles and so I ended up spending about two hours here, plugged in. It's been quite cloudy the last couple of days, which is a challenge for the solar panels on my roof. When I departed at 4:30 pm, I was at 60% battery. Yay! Literally cannot call them. No one answers the phone after the machine says "just wait and someone…read morewill be with you". We have one mailman who is great with our mail... the rest of the time we never know if its even being delivered correctly. I have 2 things that are supposed to be dropped off today and have seen mailman out with the mail but we haven't gotten our mail at all today. This isn't just today though its sometimes a regular occurrence. I'm never sure what to think and know several times they have not had all our mail together ro get to us. It would be nice just to be able to speak to someone there. Idk whats wrong but they have one person on the ball and im not sure what goes on with the others......
