Run down. Toaster in the breakfast area was broken. Service is mediocre at best. We informed the staff the toaster did not work, was told it would be fixed/replaced as the employee took it to take care of, but they came back and never said a word. Everyone just milled around an open space where the toaster once sat with their bread, bagel, etc. finally just sitting down with it all cold. No water available. All staff comes across as disinterested. read more

This was recently at your Gonzalez, Louisiana location Me and my sister and her three kids were coming to stay at your location due to a family funeral. We get there after driving straight 7 plus hours since 12am that following night /morning. We were all super exhausted. Get greeted and given four room keys having our stuff in hand go to our room to rest until said funeral at 3pm the time now was almost 750am. As we enter our room immediately my sister goes and takes a shower. While me and my niece go to finally lay in one of the said three bedroom beds available there were two queens and a pullout for couch in living room. My niece feels a bite almost instantly on her arm then both her legs, a few moments later I feel bites on my arms and legs as well. I tell her to get up we turn on the light open blinds I use my phone to look. And to my shocking surprise I see black dots everywhere on the top sheet then comforter then pillows and mattress. Even checking the living room pullout even more of them there. We then determined it was bedbugs we immediately tell my sister who comes and looks herself. She calls downstairs to inform front desk of the situation very displeased. The manager is at our door almost instantly and brings an employee with her. They go straight to the bedroom where they inspect never once acknowledged if we were okay. The manager came out with employee and said let me see your so called bites quite rudely I might add and honestly made us feel very uncomfortable in doing so. We eventually show her and she was like its not bedbugs you're just stressed due to the funeral and the long drive from exhaustion. She then went on this long informative session about bedbugs cannot be black they are red..umm excuse me I looked it up they can be both! The manager continued to deliberately talk over me and my sister and niece which we all found outright ridiculous! The manager said we can put you in another room and she said another excuse of it being their laundry detergent. Again never once fully apologizing for our horrible experience so far. The manager in my opinion was belittling and very unprofessional at her job you are supposed to take care of your customer, not sit there and basically make them feel like you're telling them the problem is non existent. We ended up getting a full refund I did a small statement which the manager looked over then glared at me and rolled her eyes at. Again very unprofessional and outright rude! We will not be returning to this location ever again!!! You need to get retrained to get your head out of your ass! Treating customers like this is unacceptable!!! Might I also add we are elite members and have frequented many locations in past and have never once had the experience we had here before. read more

Clean charming business. Every thing was up to par . The lady at the front desk was very helpful. Can't remember her name but , I remember her have on a Charm Necklace with 1996 on it I took it out of content and we laughed about it . The rooms were great and clean. Comfortable bed and nice large bathroom. You couldn't ask for a more better experience. read more

Worst "Marriott " experience ever! Long road trip w/ 4 kids. They agreed to have a rollaway bed in the room & didn't. Left us only one towel for 5 people. I called down asking for more towels & she said she would but didn't. So I went down this morning asking for towels and she said, "We don't have any. I think the people who work here are stealing them." And the one towel we did have to use had two long curly hairs fall out when using it. Marriott should not have their name on this hotel. read more

Very nice and cozy. Inexpensive and right off the highway. Has great amenties such as a complimentary continental breakfast, firepit, fitness center, basketball court, and pool. Rooms are beautiful and come with Paul Mitchell bathing supplied, a kitchen with fridge, stove, and microwave. Staff here is great! This is a wonderful home away from home. read more

I've stayed in a lot of hotels, and usually try and find the positive. But this is the first time that there's nothing good to say. This is one of those long term, apartment style hotels. It was, hands down, the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in. I mean LOUD. You could hear everything going on above you, out in the hall & out in the parking lot. The people over us sounded like they had 10 kids running Olympic games all night. You could hear every conversation happening in the parking lot. Not only was there no sound proofing, I swear it was like the sound was amplified. Someone screwed up when they built this place. It has the flimsiest walls & ceilings I've ever encountered. Ok, I'll try and find the positive. It was a cold night and we had a warm roof over our heads. The TVs worked. The Wi-Fi worked. There was a living space and a kitchen. The beds were VERY uncomfortable...I woke up with both an aching back and neck. I say "woke up"...it's not clear that I ever went to sleep. For almost $300 a night I expected MUCH better. This hotel just couldn't get our hotel keys right, every other hour we had to get them reactivated, and one night we had to sleep in the Bobby for few hours because the battery in the door was out until the front desk could figure out what to do. The sink was clogged up and no one came to our room to clean up, and they ran out of towels so we had to wait to shower. We have pictures to prove it, but if I were you I'd run the other way so fast, please don't stay here read more

Overdue for this review. Our most recent say the week of Sept 27. The best hotel in the area! We have stayed here several times since they opened in 2017. Frequenters of the La Place area a few times a year, we skipped around different hotels off 51 for several years until we stayed here at TownPlace. Never has there been a problem. The rooms have always been clean and stocked with just about every item of home. While in town I shop for all my seasonings, the freezer is large enough to fit my sausage and seafood. Its just as big as a full size refrigirator at home. Unlike other rooms that have mini frig. I like to shop as soon as I arrive so to get all my the food nice and frozen for the flight back to Los Angeles. Works like a gem every time. As well as while out you get soooo much food, you can take it to go. Store in refrigerator and heat up in large size microwave. No need to waste food if staying at a room in area that may cost more, no where near as clean and definitely far less amenities of home. Look no further. Thank you to all the staff. Checked in here last night after booking online. We got told that rollaway beds were available but couldn't be put in rooms due to the kitchens in the front of the rooms. We were fine with that since we had gotten 3 rooms or our family of 11. The rooms were mediocre at best, with hair dryer in some room and no hair dryer in the other. The pillows sucked, with pillows that were too soft too even sleep on. I might say the worst pillows I have ever slept on. The whole experience at this hotel was going pretty badly until we got to breakfast. I got told at the desk at breakfast ends at 10 am. Got ready and went to breakfast at 9:20. There was maybe 1 muffins in the breakfast area. We told them to bring us bread, bagels, or biscuit since there was nothing else to eat for breakfast. The lady who was handling everything at the breakfast area, told us the bread person brought no bread to the hotel last night. We told them, we paid for a room and breakfast and they have to bring us something to eat. Once we argued with them for some time, they took out some Frozen bagels, biscuits, and bread. We made some biscuits. My whole family had not gotten breakfast, but since we got told breakfast ends at 10 am, we thought we had a good amount of time. They started clearing up everything at 9:40 and once we asked if we could get orange juice, they told us breakfast had ended. This hotel experience was horrible all in all, so we will not be returning to this hotel the next time we are in the city. This hotel is one of the worst hotels I have ever been too, and would not recommend anyone stay here especially for the price. read more

Loved this hotel! Very clean and looked like new! Comfortable bed and they even had an option to login to my Netflix account.
