After going to all the used car…read moredealers from Temecula all the way down to El Cajon, without a doubt CarMax stood out as the best. While I bought the car expecting a vehicle that needed almost no service, there is nothing in this market nowadays like that. If a vehicle is traded in and especially from auction it's a problem car. Even dealership get fooled so I would never buy an auction car. Having said that in this case the CarMax dealership is a clear winner in all of this mess. Sadly. I had a bit of a "tale of two experiences" at this location. I recently purchased a 2019 Lexus RX 350, and initially, I was ready to give a 5-star review. The sales process was incredibly smooth--no pressure, the paperwork was efficient, and the staff at the Dan Way location were professional and welcoming. However, the "after-care" has been a different story. Shortly after the purchase, a mechanical issue arose that was clearly covered under the 30-day limited warranty. While I expected a quick fix, the service department has made it incredibly difficult to actually get the car in. When there the team could not diagnose the issue and asked to have me return if the issue persists. However; The Challenges: * Scheduling: Trying to get an appointment was a headache. I was told they were "extremely busy" and couldn't see the car for over a week, despite it being a warranty issue on a car they just sold me. * Resolution: While the issue is technically "covered," the hurdle of getting it diagnosed and repaired has turned an "easy" buying experience into a stressful ownership experience. I love the Lexus, but the service side of this CarMax needs a major overhaul in terms of accessibility and customer support. If you buy here, just be prepared for a potential fight if anything goes wrong during your warranty period

Even though we didn't stay long, the lady at the front desk was helpful and eager to assist us. She reminded us that all new and used cars are mixed together. My friend and I like how convenient it is to come to a CarMax dealership and have plenty of options to look at--and to NOT be approached or pestered by annoying salespeople! We left earlier than expected since my friend disliked most of the "cars' makes." She was really hoping there was going to be other affordable certified used BMW's. Never would I have thought selling a car site unseen would be so ridiculously easy…read more I was waiting for my new vehicle to arrive, so I decided to check with Carvana how much I'd get for my 2018 Lexus IS350 F-sport. All I had to do was input some information like the VIN, mileage, make and model on to their site. The price came up with a price I was looking for, but the price is only guaranteed for one week. Well my car wasn't going to be ready in another 3 weeks. Well when I was ready to sell, to my surprise the price was over $1,000 more than the original price. I was so pleased with the great price they bought my car. All I had to do next was take a pic of the odometer, my driver license front and back, and my bank information inorder to get the funds ACH'd to my account, which I was told it would take one to two business days for the funds to be deposited. I then scheduled for my car to be picked up at my home on a Sunday, which was a cost a mere $90. The day Carvana picked up my car, all I had to do was provide the Carvana guy was the title, and the two key FOBs. Easy as one, two, three. To my surprise, the next day the funds were deposited in my bank account. If you need to sell your car, I highly recommend Carvana. I'd definitely use them again.

Well color me shocked... when they not only gave us a great price but they made the transaction as easy as it could have possible.
