Services provided by Clisby in addition to general auto electrical servicing include; air conditioning, fuel injection, batteries, alarms and immobilizers, alcohol interlocks and lighting. Clisby is located only a short distance up Main North Road, about two or three streets after Scotty's Motel, so its not too far at all from the city.

You'll need to book about a week in advance for a service, but we have found on a few occasions when we really needed repairs quickly they were happy to squeeze us in. (eg: Pregnant lady about to pop any day now, need my car roadworthy in a hurry!) My most recent service was made that much easier because I had my baby with me and so Mark Percat gave us a lift to Westfield Marion and then came to pick us up again when the car was done. And another occasion I needed my oil checked (pesky warning light was giving me the creeps) but baby was asleep in the back so I phoned Percat from my car out on the street and a friendly mechanic came out to help right away! They can also be a little slow to answer the phone some times so it pays to be patient (especially first thing in the morning).

That said, the service is still good and the price I pay for it is reasonable as well. I really got tired of being taken on a ride with a lot of other franchised car service centres which shall remain unnamed, who would charge me 4 times than what I would normally pay because they managed to find things that "had" to be fixed in the car. Not knowing anything or much about cars, this made me an easy target for places like these and eventually I caught on that half of the things they recommended fixing were not critical to safety. Sure, your car runs better, things would be newer, but was it necessary? No, not all. At Paks auto you can expect a fair price, and the owner will call you up before he does anything outside of what you have asked him to do, such as if he finds something that really does need repairing. They do general servicing and repairs so if you live in the area and are looking for a place to do any of that with your car, swing by Paks Auto.

It is quite nippy and easy to park, the handling is not great at high speed on expressway though. Overall I am happy and so will my daughter be when I pass it on to her . I went there with a family member who was getting a service on her Mitsubishi and there were several things we learnt. Firstly, the service itself was reasonably expensive (for a student!) at around $800, however this did include two parts that had to be ordered in and fitted in the car. Also, because it was a Mitsubishi, you are buying parts and fittings that are intended for your kind of vehicle which should mean they work better and should last longer until you need another one. There was very little waiting period in getting a service time and they were reasonably quick about it with same-day service, even when there had to be new parts fitted. They also called to keep us informed what was happening with the car and asked our permission before installing the new parts. Perhaps weren't as female friendly as some other car businesses we have been to.
