I've bought 5 cars from this dealership over the past 15 years. No complaints about the cars at all but my experience with the sales side of the dealership always makes me question going back. I bought a 2021 Venza XLE in November 2020 and that experience left me frustrated and angry. The salesperson told me that the resale on these cars would be excellent. Fast forward 3+ years, I've decided to get rid of the car (no issue with the car at all). I'd received an offer from another vendor for $38k and thought I'd go to Toyota on the Park considering I bought it there and wod give them the benefit of the doubt. It should be noted that the car has 29,000 km and in excellent shape. The service manager inspects it and gives a price of $29k. I said "Excuse me! Is that a joke?" It doesn't even come close to what was still owed on the vehicle. The salesperson gives me lame-ass excuse and tries to tell me that it would be worth much more. He then goes into an explanation of how they have a lot more overhead to cover! Don't insult my intelligence! That's your issue, not mine. I love the Toyota brand and has been great to drive but the experience of dealing with their unscrupulous tactics and bs policies has lost me as a customer forever. I didn't think the old stereotypical used car salesmen still existed. Evidently, they all work at Toyota on the Park. They'll tell you anything they can to sell a car. Be aware of this place. I was told my RAV4 had a lower control arm crack or separation and it would cost $960 plus 125 for alignment plus tax. I took my vehicle to another mechanic and paid that mechanic to look and was told nothing was wrong. Today I brought my son's RAV4 in for a tire change and lo and behold was told his front left control arm had a crack in it and $960 plus 125 plus tax. I went to the service desk and asked the person to look up my issue from 2022 and same issue. I told her outright that I took my vehicle to another mechanic who said there was nothing at all wrong with my car. She had no response to my challenge other than she would document the issue that was recommended and that I said no. Left there and went straight to another garage mechanic and again nothing wrong with the control arm. I will not return to this dealer Shame on them read more

We have been buying Toyota cars for many, many years. But our latest experience when we had our car services was terrible. We bought Michelin tires in November 2019 and drove them for les than 18,000 km. They show weather cracks and need to be replaced. Since the Michelin warranty does not cover that we were offered 4 new tires ( labour and alignment) for $820 +HST. Also a corroded speaker cable was spliced (did not have such cable in stock to offer a new one) and charged us $465. As a sign of good will we would get $46 rebate for that work. Second visit in a week and still lovin it! Had a longer appointment today so decided to check out the lounge. They've got a cafeteria with a few options for breakfast, lunch, and miscellaneous treats and drinks. The Wi-Fi connection is strong enough to watch Netflix which I'm so thankful for! Overall space is large and very clean. Leather chairs all around with coffee tables, making it easy to both lounge around or get some work done. Very classy area, and makes an hour and a half wait seem not so bad. read more

One of the worst worst service experience which I had today with Toyota on the park Leslie. I went for my regular service schedule for my vehicle . The customer representative saying she is so busy and I have been asked to wait for the regular service for at least 4 hours . I explained her that I got an email for only half an hour schedule . She is very rude that she can't even give me shuttle service for me . She said my address is out of their boundary. Last time I had an appointment with pickering Toyota , that was best they gave me a service shuttle to Scarborough. This is my worst worst experience and I will never ever going to come back again for service at Toyota on the park .And am not going to refer anyone here . . If I could, I would give them zero (0)!! Do not go there on Friday after 5 p.m. They don't want to sell at this time ))) They rather be home, then make money for the dealership. I once came in at 5:20 p.m to inquire about a new Supra. Walked for 10 min around, and no one even came out to greet!!! I then approached my managerial employee and complained that people were picking out at me from around the corner from time to time, but no one came over to help. They have cars on their website, but when you show up, the car is not on the lot( bait-and-switch). When dealing with the financing, the financing person at the end said there was an error and tried to increase the interest rate. Go to another dealership. How have I not reviewed this place ?! This review is based on my experience w the Service Centre. On the whole I find this place quite chaotic with a lot of unnecessary waiting times. The one star is due solely to the fact that you can make appointments on-line. Also, Yelp doesn't allow for a 0 star review. I drive a 2 year old Toyota and decided to get a general check up of my car. Made my appointment and got the courtesy car to drop me off at home. A few hours later, I receive a phone call. I was told that the geniuses here discovered $6000 worth of repairs needed for my car. Driving this car was apparently endangering my life. I got the gentleman working here to outline all these supposed repairs that were necessary. With a list of all the things needing repair, I went to my usual mechanic to see what the real deal was. Apparently most on the list did not apply to my car. Had I not investigated, Toyota On the Park was going to charge me for the sake of charging me. This place is pretty sneaky. Stick with your gut. If you even think "wtf?" for a second, go elsewhere for a second opinion. Never again. read more

I went for my oil change and tire swap out, and the next day on my way to work I heard a sound on my tire right side and took it back the dealership and they told me the shock and mount is Damage and I need a to change shock and mount for 1111+ tax and I told them everything was perfectly fine before they did the tire change and I'd there was any issue they would have let me know when I did the tire change ! But they Blame me that I damage it and they can't give my car back because apparently isn't safe and I have to pay 1111$ to fix ! Management is rude and unprofessional they give my car back with issues that comes with and they won't take responsibility and they would charge me 1,000$ dollars to fix things they caused ! As far as dealerships go, I was pretty pleased with the service here. I had booked in advance, and showed up early, but they were ready for me, and I was booked in and on my way in no time. They do have a shuttle service, and even though it was only just after 7am, they asked me if I needed a ride anywhere, and were ready to go. I declined, as I prefer to walk, but it was nice to know they would accommodate if the weather didn't make walking a good choice. I would have liked some sort of sign that said "line up here" or similar in the service department. There are 6 stations with service reps, but there seemed to be no way to tell who was doing what, and who was next in line. Pricing seemed competitive, and there were no surprises on my bill when I picked the vehicle up. I'll keep coming back here. Location is great for me, and the service and price were both good. read more

The worst new car dealership I've ever had to deal with, in 2017 girlfriend was looking to buy a brand new car, I recommended Toyota because for price range Toyota IMO is the best. Anyways after setting the price and going upstairs with her to talk to the financial department and adding a couple of options like Stone chip protector on the hood and having the undercarriage rust proof which carries a 10-year warranty rust protection I left the room so she could deal with the financial part in private since I thought this was this was not any of my business. A day later after she went through all the paperwork she called me back crying stating that they added an extended warranty and the car was not rust proof but that they were adding an electronic rust prevention thingamajig all this after I was sitting beside her making the final Arrangements. So we went back to speak to the financial advisor to have the extended warranty and electronic rust protector removed after about half an hour I'm listening to her tell us that the undercoating was only warrantied for 7 years then she came back from somewhere else to tell us she was wrong and it was for 10 years. Now it seems like every time she goes for an oil change they want to redo the brakes so she walks out with over $1,000 charge I told her to stop going there when the last time they wanted $1600 on a four-and-a-half-year-old car with under a hundred thousand kilometres. This part is not a knock against the dealership but now she needs a new air conditioning compressor which in my opinion should last at least 10-12 years I guess Toyota is going down the tubes now too. I would do all her repairs myself but I'm too busy rebuilding my 66 Plymouth and keeping my GMC truck up to par, these days with the parts being cheaper made I don't know of any manufacturer being better than the other one, do your research before buying, for all my friends that look to me for advice on buying a new car I don't tell them Toyota no more for them to do their own research unless they are buying a used car then I'll do a full check for them. My sales rep Chloe Clarin knew nothing about the vehicles and general information, gave no presentation on the cars features when going for a test drive as provided by other dealerships. Eventually I cancelled my ordered of a Corolla Hybrid after 10 months of waiting. Throughout my long wait, Chloe gave me no updates or information and repeatedly encouraged me to cancel my order, I was always the one having to contact for any sort of information and follow up. She later told me I need to resign and it will cost me $300 more, when I arrived, the dealership was asking for $1800 more... I found out (in May 2022) all other dealerships in Toronto were able to fulfill orders of the Corolla Hybrid, that were signed in July 2021, in February 2022. Through my research I found out this dealership does not order vehicles in the customers name, this way they can prioritize customers that spend more on extended warranty and rust coating protection. read more

I was on the verge of purchasing a brand new Prius Prime when all of a sudden my salesperson went to the back office to consult his sales manager and informed me has bad news. Seems the car I wanted had been ordered by another customer with rustproofing and an extra coat of paint and I would have to pay an extra $2600 if I wanted it. Classic bait and switch! Before he informed me of this surprise, which I didn't for one moment believe he didn't know about, he had spent 15 minutes on the most blatant upselling tactics I have ever experienced. First, although I was ready to pay cash, he tried to argue that I should finance the car because I could get better stock market returns with my money than I would pay for their finance rate of 7 plus per cent. Then he did the hard sell on an extended warranty and underbody rustproofing even though I already know Toyota and most other car manufacturers now already put a coat of underbody anti-corrosion protection, making rustproofing obsolete unlike the old days. That's why Consumer Reports advises buyers NOT to buy extra rustproofing. But of course this represents a huge profit to the dealership and a hefty commission to the salesperson who already benefits from the fact that buyers no longer have any bargaining leverage and are forced to pay full MRSP because of supply chain issues. Oh, then he offered me another Prius Prime but only if I was prepared to pay for extra rustproofing, making it obvious that the mistake over the first car was actually a lie....I must say that, although this dealership is sleazy to the core, the architecture is stunning, built on the site of the old Inn on the Park. The General manager said it loud and clear "they are there to make money! ! The car is built that way so live with it...that's what you get and that's how it is!" The car 6 months new, has break issues and heating problem...extreme cold weather and always cold feet...so sad! The store manager was so mean, disrespectful and could careless! I had a horrible service experience today. I had to bring my car back in as a wire that connects my speaker amplifier to my fuse box underneath my steering wheel went missing. I did not touch nor did I tuck this wire in anywhere. The service person was already in a bad mood after my service was booked in-correctly by her co-worker. I had to re-state my issue and was blamed for bringing in my car 15 days after the service (in between the holidays and vacation), and was told that it was not Toyota's fault in a loud and disrespectful tone. I did not argue and simply stated the scenario. I was blamed again after the technician found the wire underneath a panel. Not what I expected from a company that prides themselves on an excellent service experience. They have lost me as a customer. read more

I like going here for service, the waiting area is very large, clean, and has a great cafeteria with good food. The dealer has never tried to up sell me anything and when I say no to recommendations they don't try and push it like some dealers. The services have been very quick and they give you tons of free car wash coins so you can drop by anytime for a free car wash. Only complaint is the car was could be better. read more

I got a free maintenance package and they don't explained properly what is covered with free maintenance package today I went for service type 3 and they told me to pay for wheel alignment, hvac, air filter, brake service. An amateur operation. I ordered a 2015 Highlander. After the handshake with the salesman, we waited 20 minutes before the financial services manager finally decided to make an appearance. We were on the point of walking out. Unacceptable. Ten days later we received a phone call asking what colour we had ordered. (This information was on the contract, so why did they ask?) Unacceptable. When we went to pick up our car two months later, I was met with a handshake but the staff completely ignored my wife. (She could have been a toast crust on the floor for all that mattered.) Unacceptable. Further, the colour was wrong! Unacceptable. We cancelled the contract and walked out. These characters need to learn about customer service: 1. treat customers as if they really care 2. recognize that wives are the decision makers 3. learn to take orders correctly and deliver on them. Shop elsewhere where people are able to demonstrate that they really care about doing business with car buyers. read more

I have been buying cars from Toyota on the Park for the past 10 years, and I really like them. They are incredibly resourceful when finding solutions to my various car related issues. Whenever I present them with a unique problem that Toyota Corporate refuses to solve, they find an answer. The one time I did get a lemon (a Sienna with too many post-factory upgrades), they offered me a more than suitable replacement for a great price. This past visit I ended up buying a Lexus, but Paul Barretto from the Toyota side still spent hours with us at Lexus to make sure everything went smoothly. It's funny, whenever I return my old vehicle I promise myself that I will try a car from a different manufacturer. But Toyota on the Park always make me an offer that I can't refuse. read more

Terrible service and outrageous prices. Sure, they wash your car (some times) and offer shuttle service. But then again, every time I come in they recommend $1000 + in "repairs" and services on a pretty much brand new car. Last time they tried to get me to change all my brake system (rotors and pads) but I remembered I had done it recently. I took my car to a different mechanic and he told me I still had 80% + life on the brakes. The same happened with my battery. A lady there actually was trying to scare me in to buying it saying that she would not be responsible if my car died on the road. But when I got it tested somewhere else it was in perfect condition. I knew they were overselling some stuff but not to this extent. Stay away in my opinion. read more

My 2016 Toyota Corolla window making click noise, so i brought it in. First, they could not find it but than they found it. My car was damaged while it was in the premisses. After, speaking to Manager they agreed to fix it but trying to give me a long lecture. They are ok for me to come from their normal vicinity to come for a service but if they have to drop me off my home which is not in their area. It becomes an issue all of a sudden. They should tell customers not to buy or get service from them if they are not in their area zone. I would be reluctant to take my car for service again to the dealership. read more

I got a very bad experience on toyota on the park dealership on collission department. I brought my car last May for collission repair. The body consultant Balthazar Pisarek assisted me during that time. So he told me it will take more than a week and I said its fine with me. So the job was done probably a week's time. After that, there is some issue on the repair and I told Balthazar about it and he will constantly ignore me and only look at his point of view and does not want to bring it back. I constantly telling him the issue and he keeps ignoring it. The issue was the bumper color was really off to the actual color on the body. It was very obvious that time and he keep insisting its because of metal and plastic. So what I did was I went straight to Scarborough Toyota where they send all their collission work and explain to the body shop manager Chris on that location my concern . Right in there, Chris booked me and arrange the repaint of my bumper and it looks flawless after that. My advice is if you guys have any collission repair just go straight to Scarborough Toyota and dont go to toyota on the park because they send all their work in scarborough toyota anyways. You have to look for manager Chris which is a very fine man and he will take care of you. So you can avoid body shop consultant like Balthazar Pisarek who is very unprofessional and will leave you in the dark once there is a problem in the collission work. I hope the management on the toyota on the park will look on this matter just to uplift their service on the collission department. You dont want to lose all your collission repair customer just because of incompetent body consultant Balthazar Pisarek. Pls look at this matter promptly the toyota on the park management. read more

Questionable Sales Ethics!! I went to this dealer to get a price in trade in my Toyota Prius for a new Toyota Camry LE. I had a firm price from another dealership and I also knew what the wholesale value was for my Prius. I made a sales appointment to meet with the salesman to get their best price. When it came to my trade-in, they test drove my car and told me what my trade in was worth. As it turned out what they offerred me on the trade in was insulting to say the least. They tried to tell me that due to market conditions this was the best $ amount they could offer me for my trade-in. The final trade in amount was much higher than the firm price that I had from another Toyota dealer, I spent 2 hours haggling with them trying to get them to give me a decent trade in allowance for my car. They ened up giving me about $1K more for my trade in but still the final $ amount owing was much higher than what the other dealer wanted. At this point, I had already wasted 2 hours of my time trying to get a fair deal from them and in hindsight I should have just walked out the door and told them to forget the whole deal. I reluctantly went ahead with the deal and signed the contract. The real shocker for me is when they put my Prius up for sale on their used car lot they were asking $6k more for it than what they offerred me for the trade in value. Afterwards, I had second thoughts and I went back to the dealership later the same day and spoke to the sales manager and told him that I was very unhappy and I wanted them to give me a better deal. They wrote up a new sales contract and knocked another $400.00 off the final price. It still ended up costing me about $500.00 more than if I had gone to the other Toyota dealership and dealt with them. The sales manager then had the audacity to tell me that the salesman was going to earn a lower commision as a result of my complaint. And then he told me that Toyota would be sending me a survey to complete on my sales experience with hjis dealership and he expected me to give his dealership an excellent rating and he told me that if I had any complaints I should inform him right then and there before I would receive the survey. I will never ever buy another car from this dealership and I will never recommend this dealership to my friends or family. read more

Watch out for false advertising at this dealership!! They make promises and don't live up to it!! I bought my Rav4 from this dealership about a year ago. The sales person was very courteous, friendly, etc so I gave him a very high rating. Part of what was included was a free 2 year maintenance package because of a promotion they had on. He told me that the maintenance package was the best deal because of the savings. He gave me a Maintenance Menu that showed I could indeed save hundreds of dollars. Since then, I've only brought my vehicle in for the regular checks recommended every 8,000 kms. In January, less than ONE year after I bought my vehicle, I brought the car in for a regular check and was told that there's a $500 limit on the maintenance package and that I had reached that limit. He told me that it would be impossible for me to reach 2 years with the $500 unless I skipped several maintenance checks! That was news to me! I've checked my Vehicle Purchase Agreement and it clearly states the 2 year Maintenance Package is included, no mention of a $500 limit or any limit whatsoever. I called my sales guy who said he wasn't sure about the limit but said he'd talk to his manager and phone me back. He never called back. After a few weeks, I sent a reminder email. No response. Yesterday, I sent an email to the Sales Manager, Service Manager and General Manager. Waiting for someone to get back to me. Next stop, Toyota Canada. This practice of deceiving customers has to end! read more

I will never go again. My car got into an accident and I took my car to this place 1083 Leslie/Eglington. I lost one of my hubcaps from the accident which they never took into consideration. As well there was a little scratch on the fender from the accident which again they never took into consideration even though I pointed out. The lady (A------) inspected the damage for my insurance company never took this into consideration, I doubt it much that she has any experience. After inspection my car was moved to another location on Eglington Ave for body work estimate for the insurance company and brought it back to the same location as the repair work didn't start until 2 days after. So, I went to pick up my car as I cannot rent a car until the repair work starts as per Insurance company policy. Whoever drove my car from and to this location must be definitely an idiot. My wiper was not turned off and it was half way on the windshield on mid high speed, my radio was blasting as soon as I started the car, My AC was never turned off and it was on high, my car was parked quarter of an inch away from the concrete wall. They never took care of my car as it doesn't belong to them. The customer service was NIL. I mean NIL...I will never go again to this place. Recently brought my car in for an elective replacement of the timing belt and water pump. The car was running in excellent condition prior to the service. While driving on the highway 2 days later, the car overheated and was undriveable and had to be towed back to Toyota on the Park. The dealer has run tests on my vehicle, commenting that it was the faulty new water pump that caused the problem. The dealer was unable to prove to me whether it was as a faulty part or shoddy work on the dealer's part, claiming it was a defective part. Voiced concerns with Toyota Canada, who are opting to pass the buck back to the dealer, likening the sale of faulty auto parts to buying a faulty TV. Just what you want to hear when travelling with a young child when your car breaks down on Hwy 400. Stay clear of this dealer and especially their service department. read more

I would advise anybody not to go anywhere near this dealership they are liars and have no morals or integrity, Mr D'Costa sold me a Black Prius in his words perfect condition, my eyes are pretty bad so in the most part I had to rely on what the Salesman said, when I arrived home my wife looked at the car and said do you know about all the scratches on every single panel? I had no idea, so I called the dealership the following day where I spoke to a guy who called himself the general manager (although if he is he has been very lucky as he is in the wrong job) he basically said were not interested even though I had the car less than 24hrs but promised somebody would call me back its now a week later and nobody has called apparently they are all to busy!!! But my initial enquiry was on a Sunday night at 2100hrs and two people reached out to me then so the morale of this is if you want a Toyota get one but don't go anywhere near these crooks. read more

I booked an apt. for a routine service for my low mileage pickup. I reported a foreign object in one of my tires, which had not been leaking. The service rep suggested a wheel alignment, based on what I'm not sure. I was preoccupied with work I needed to accomplish that day and said "yes"...MISTAKE!. When I was called for a meeting three hours later with the service supervisor Hon, he told me the tire couldn't be saved as the nail was too near the sidewall of the tire and suggested a new set of tires. "We have rebates!"At this point I asked if in fact my truck had needed a wheel alignment, Hon looked over the report and said "no". I told him I would shop around for tires and declined any other suggested service. Hon asked if I wanted the damaged tire replaced with the spare, I said "yes". An hour later the work was complete and I had another meeting with Hon, he told me the technician could not free the spare tire, the original tire had not in fact been punctured and was revising his service report and was giving me a discount on the unnecessary wheel alignment from $119 to $89. What a sport! I paid $282 for an incompetent inspection, an unnecessary wheel alignment and an oil change. I will be looking for a new place to have my vehicle serviced. It seems Toyota dealerships are only interested in their service tracks...fixing problems that don't require fixing and failing to apply appropriate diagnostics. Unless your vehicle is under warranty or serviced for recall, avoid the dealerships. My opinion based on experience. read more
