I was a TPG customer for a little over 8 months. Initially the 1Gb service was great, however it quickly deteriorated to the point I was getting less than 50mbs at times. Despite multiple calls to the support desk and an on-site tech visit (where as Murphy's Law goes) the service wasn't too bad around 250mbs - the fluctuations in promised speeds were just unacceptable. These guys have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It has taken, literally, 17 calls to handle an issue regarding ADSL and another 7-8 calls to deal with a mobile phone SIM that never got mailed, 18 days after I ordered it. The ADSL Service itself seems fine; cannot comment on the mobile as it is still not working. The biggest foul seems to be "we'll call you right back with an update" and no one, ever, ever calls back. I would give negative stars if I could. BAD! BAD! BAD! Whoever else you are evaluating they are by far better than TPG. Run now! Anyone who praises their customer service should try and compare to poor customer service with any other company in the states. TPG makes BofA, rated as the worst customer service company in the country, look exceptional. I get that things are different in other countries but to say TPG has customer service is an insult to all other organizations. First pay TPG for a box to send, then they will schedule a time to send out Telsra for the service at a time the customer cannot dictate, finally if you cannot meet the timeframe scheduled they can reschedule at a later date that once again they dictate forcing you to take half a day off from your work to accommodate to their schedules. Finally, if after one or multiple attempts over a period of time that you are paying for with out service, if you change your mind you cannot cancel the service you still haven't received without paying a penalty. Don't worry this will all be explained to you when they verbally recite the terms and conditions to you over the phone for 10 minutes. Once again their customer service is so bad when I expressed an interest in other providers when I was initially shopping they made no effort to change my mind. I should have listened to my gut. I doubt they have anyone reading yelp to seek ways to improve, bother with customer satisfaction surveys, or make any effort to improve the horrible customer experience. I am surprised they are still in business and would encourage everyone to resort to utilizing the newspaper for news and information, pigeons for messaging, and any other antiquated slow service from the early 1900s and go without internet before suffering this ordeal. read more

TPG have advertised their service and rates to attract more customers without providing extra support staff to cope with all the problems their customers are having. I will be switching providers as I am paying far too much for a very slow internet service and even poorer customer service. TPG have to keep their customers and not put all their energy into attracting new ones. I will be contacting the telecommunication ombudsman as I am sick to death of them!! read more

Customer service managers are incompetent. Signed up with TPG bundles 04th May 2016 and still awaiting installation to be completed....all the while my family is unable to receive and telephone calls. Their helpline is hopeless....last week I was told that within 24-48 hours the installation would be completed, a week later nothing...when I called (again) ...just more excuses. With TPG for years, now moved housewill thought to take tpg over to new house ... Took them 10 days to install the service slugged me with $100 to buy a new modem which I never needed . Two days after the installation internet service is having problems, took me 4 calls and and two days wait to get the appointment to get the nbn technician. Craps craps crap customer service. Never get TPG it is worst service available. read more

Internet service has been terrible, has been disconnecting every day for past 6 months. Three technicians out on separate occasions and still not fixed. So many phone calls and they never listen and update details. DO NOT connect with these guys. read more

Ok Peeps. I rarely give out one star, and if it were possible, I would give negative stars here. If you happen to get a good line with your ASDL2+ service and never require customer service, technical support and never want to cancel service, go ahead and take a chance for that lower rate. I can tell you I will NEVER use TPG again. I have spent hours on the phone trying to get them to cancel my service and release the line so I can switch to Telstra. Five days later I have finally got them to agree, yes, they have to agree to let you cancel your service. I am not even worried about have to pay the early termination fee, even though I only had 2 days of service of the worst internet I have ever had. To enlighten you, 2 Mbps on ASDL2+ is horrible, no matter how much unlimited data you might want, you will never achieve it at 2 mbps. ASDL2+ is capable of 24-30 mbps. Why would I accept 2? Switching to Telstra Cable broadband for 100 Mbps. And for not a whole lot more. Do yourself a favor, stay away, a long way away from TPG. read more

These guys have some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I moved to new address and made online request to move my services. Ticked all boxes and agreed to their conditions. But two hours later TPG replayed that it can't be done, so I moved to different provider. And 12 days later I noticed that TPG charged my credit card and sent me email that all connected. In my request to cancel and refund I had email that I will be charged cancelation fee and no refund. Very bad service and very dishonest. read more

TPG has some good customer service employees such as Dee Jay (Employee No 46549605). TPG sent him to our house today to fix a phone line problem. He was very good and polite, he helped us to solve the problem and he also explained it clearly to us. We're very happy! read more

TPG has actually been great for the last few years - relocating has been fine as long as you give them up to a month's notice. Perhaps this is because we had minimal need to actually speak to customer service. Now - they were unable to provide us internet as there is no spare pair and I am truly disappointed. We have switched to Telstra who have rectified our internet issue. In order to cancel TPG - I've had to go through 4-5 phone calls. 2 of which I made myself and was told that within 24 hours someone would call me - on two separate days. I was told only our "case manager" could cancel our account. Like it was criminal to want to leave TPG. Really to cancel one account they had to put me through to 3 different people. Not only that but when with the initial TPG installation before they found the "no spare pair" - they made my elderly mother wait for nearly 8 hours with no communication despite multiple phone calls because "someone had to be there". Even to organise an installation time the gentlemen who called me was rude. And after all our phone calls - case manager tells me all I need to do is email adsl_cancel@tpg.com.au with your username/customer ID, REASON for wanting to leave. And wait for it - a direct quote from their condescending email: "We will respect if your final decision is cancellation.". Get out while you can. read more
