The customer service is horrible! The ride is much more convenient than driving or taking a bus. But it was a horrible day due to their website having old information, being sold the wrong ticket, then being double charged to stay on the same route, etc. I will need to dispute the charges as a result of their total complete lack of professionalism. While staying in Positano, my husband knew he wanted to spend one day of our honeymoon in Capri, so he found the earliest boat. (You can shop around the shacks.) It was approximately €20 each way per person and left at 9:00 AM. Tickets were straightforward to buy, but the directions to wait for the boat were inaccurate. The kiosk lady pointed in the general direction of the docks, so we just followed the other people with tickets like ours. Make sure to bring sunscreen while waiting in the heat. We were told the boat would match the name on the ticket, which it did. The timing was off... We should have known "10 minutes before 9:00 AM" really means 10 minutes late in Italy. Nevertheless we made it and were on our way to Capri. The ride was smooth and the boat was clean. Seems like the only thing to look for when shopping around this and other shacks is private vs. group boat. Otherwise the prices are about the same. Hooray for market competition. They tried to convince us to buy a round trip ticket through them and almost got the best of my paranoia... Fortunately my husband knew tickets and timing weren't as scarce as she was saying. You could always go with a different company. Overall decent experience though. read more

This is a great ferry service that will take you from Salerno to the Amalfi Coast (Atrani, Amalfi, Positano, Maiori, Minori, Cetara). Our AirBnB host recommended it to us, and we're so glad we got this local tip. A lot of tourists will end up taking the bus instead which is very windy and cramped. The ferry was a beautiful and fun way to get to the coast. This helped us on our trip from Roma (Rome) to Amalfi. We took a train to Salerno from Roma Termini and then from the train station, we walked less than 5 minutes to Ferry Station. There are two routes, one that goes to Amalfi/Positano and another that goes to Maiori, Minori and Cetara. Make sure you get on the right one! It's fairly priced. 8 euros per person one way. 1.5 euros per luggage. Some ferries have a snack bar. Sit in the front or the back for the best experience! See the ocean firsthand. I preferred sitting on the bottom deck to avoid the harsh sunlight. read more
